It was the time when only half the sun was visible. Jogrin and the others have arrived at the vast land that was nearby the Maladin household.
The sky was coated in golden yellow, as if someone painted all over it. The light with the same color has taken over the green of the grassland, making it as if golden yellow was the original color of the grass. There was a single tree in the midst of it, making it stand out from the grass.
Next to the tree was a silver vehicle that just landed. It reflected the light, to the point that it was too bright too look at directly. Fortunately, everyone was too busy to do that.
It was because they were all setting up tents around the tree.
All the Maladins, including Suzannia volunteered to help out. Only Jogrin's hands were free. All he was doing was following Kapel around.
Proxer asked for his help, but he simply responded with not having the strength for lifting or hammering, so he declined. Despite the fact that he did have seemingly weak overall strength, everyone found it hard to believe.
Even so, no one dared to complain.
"Whew, what a long day today was!" Zanphia sighed with satisfaction while wiping her sweat.
"Thank you very much for your help, Ms. Zanphia." A Knight expressed his gratitude.
"Don't mention it! Ow..."
"Um, please don't try that again..."
Zanphia, embarrassed from receiving thanks, slapped the Knight's back, but he was still wearing the armor. Therefore, she hurt her hand by doing that.
By the way, every Knight kept their armor on despite sweating tremendously from the exertion, as proven by the smell filling the air. That kind of perseverance must've come from years and years of training.
"We're done as well."
Several Knights were reporting their progress to Captain Ryov who was teaching Zenover how to set up a tent. It was taking quite some time since Zenover was struggling a bit.
"Good work, everyone. Please take a rest, I'll be joining you soon."
"I'm sorry for dragging you down like this..."
"Haha! Don't worry about it! I was like this when I first started. At least you get to experience something like this early. Just take your time to get accustomed to it. It may prove useful in the future!"
"Thank you for being patient with someone like me..."
"Hoho~ What do we have here? A little brother who needs help from his big sister?"
"Help? All you've been doing is going around delivering water bottles..."
"Don't underestimate me! I can get things done if I want to!"
Zanphia crouched down and checked the tent that was in the middle of being set up.
'Aren't they getting too comfortable when I'm here? Are all Maladins like that...' Jogrin sent them a bewildered gaze and had such a thought.
"Are you sure you can handle this..."
"Just leave it to me!"
"Ms. Zanphia, perhaps it'd be better if you listen to my instructions first..."
Captain Ryov tried to warn Zanphia, but she seemed to be too enthusiastic to hear him. Since She swiftly attached the poles to the body of the tent, positioned and hammered the stakes for stabilizing the tarps. After finishing up, she puffed up her chest proudly as she wiped off the sweat on her forehead.
While she did some steps in the reverse order, the set-up was generally fine, as proven by the end product - a standing and steady tent.
"Woah..." Zenover was impressed by how efficient and easy Zanphia made it look.
"Told ya so!" She put on her usual smug.
"That's impressive, Ms. Zanphia! Have you had experience with camping?" Captain Ryov felt the same as Zenover.
"A few years back... When I went on a camping trip with my friends in middle school. Grandpa Grunmyt was there too! He was the one who taught me!"
As expected of Kapel, he really was a man with vast knowledge.
However, that very same man was staring at Zanphia, as if there was something on his mind. No, he was staring at the tent set up by her. He furrowed his eyebrows more and more.
"Zanphia."
"Hm?"
They were some distance apart from each other, so Kapel walked towards her, with Jogrin in tow. Kapel's sudden behavior left Jogrin bewildered, but his bewilderment soon dissipated as he saw why Kapel was acting like that.
He picked up his pace and overtook Kapel who shot him a wary look. He stopped on his tracks because Jogrin got in his way.
"What is the meaning of this?" Kapel was getting furious.
"Wait, you're misunderstanding. Listen to me, I'm just-"
Just as Jogrin was going to explain the reason of his action, he was interrupted by an abrupt impact on the area that was to the side of his right eye.
"CLANK!"
It sounded like two metal bars colliding with each other. The loud noise caught everyone's attentions and they turned to see and figure out what the noise was about.
Due to the impact on his head, Jogrin was knocked toward Kapel. As Kapel was about to catch him, Jogrin stood back straight.
Captain Ryov, Zanphia, and Zenover were flabbergasted at the sight. Kapel, seemingly having understood something, immediately grabbed Jogrin's head and turned it around so that he could see the wound.
That was when he saw the regeneration from the reports with his very own eyes.
No blood at all. The wound being covered with ominous dark layer, and eventually being replaced by skin. In the end, it was as if the wound wasn't here at all.
'So it is real...'
Kapel couldn't believe his own eyes. Something like that shouldn't be possible. Besides, the way he stood back straight when he was falling wasn't normal either.
Normally, when a person was inclined enough to incur a fall, they'd need to take a step to maintain balance. However, what Jogrin did as his body was inclining, was simply... standing back straight, without moving his legs whatsoever.
Kapel let go of Jogrin and took a step back, poised.
Jogrin could tell that he was highly wary from "emotional perception." The Knights also had the same reaction.
Jogrin looked down and pointed at something on the ground.
"This nail was about to fly at you, so I stepped in and blocked it." Jogrin explained nonchalantly.
"I could not have seen it had you not pointed at it."
The nail was some distance away. If one didn't fully concentrate on it, they would've never noticed it, especially since the collapsed tent was much more eye-catching.
"I-I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!!!" Zanphia, in a panicked state, ran towards Jogrin.
"I'm fine. Look." Jogrin pointed at where he was hit. No wound in sight, just plain skin.
"... How?"
"I heal quickly. That's all."
"What?"
"Zanphia. What matters now is that Jogrin is not hurt." Kapel said so to calm Zanphia down.
"Are you really okay?"
"I am. I think you should worry more about your tent actually..."
"No worries. I've got that handled!" Captain Ryov told Jogrin and Zanphia as he held one of the stakes and a corner of the tent in place. "Tyron. Come give me a hand please."
"Yes sir!"
Tyron rushed at Captain Ryov at his command. He swiftly hammered a new nail. Following that, they put a rock on each of the four corners of the tent. In the end, the tent stood as if nothing had occurred.
Zanphia, standing in front of Jogrin, dropped her head. It appeared that even after knowing Jogrin had completely healed, she still felt extremely remorseful.
