Kichiro stared into a pair of dark apricot eyes fixed on him.
What the hell is this?
Kichiro hazily looked around, taking in his surroundings. He found himself in a well-furnished room adorned with paintings of unfamiliar people and places. His eyes were blurry and couldn't see anything in detail.
The walls were a blend of brown hues with accents in deep reds and greys.
His eyes were still blurry and unfocused so he couldn't see anything in detail, however the most prominent thing in his view…
His gaze was drawn to a towering, well-dressed man.
Despite his immense size, the man appeared to be an average human except for his striking ivory hair and deep marigold eyes. The man was in an oversized white dress shirt, tucked nicely into his pants giving off a well defined look. He was lean, his muscles still visble through his clothing.
This really is a fantasy world
While he was observing the forgein room and individual, the man began speaking in an unfamiliar language. At first it was completely incomprehensible, but slowly aa he continued the words gradually translated in Kichiro's mind.
"He's quite cute for a newborn. I expected worse," the man spoke calmly but it felt icy and stern.
The word "cute" triggered a realization in Kichiro's mind. Didn't Gioia mention something about being reborn?
Struggling to move, Kichiro tried his best to looked down at himself but found he couldnt raise his head. After struggling he managed to glimpse at his hands, now small and chubby with a milky tone. Everything clicked into place, including why the man seemed so gigantic.
"He's our son, after all, Armanos. You should be nicer," a woman's voice interjected.
Was that his moms voice? If he was reborn into a new world, it made sense that he would have new parents too.
The scene shifted as the man passed him to the woman who had spoken, and Kichiro looked up to see a breathtakingly beautiful woman. She had dark, wavy hair cascading over her shoulders and captivating blue eyes that complemented her pale complexion. Her eyes were shaped like a foxes, but were modest and comforting to look at.
Was this his mother? She was truly stunning.
The woman smiled warmly at her baby, clearly overjoyed to see him staring back at her.
"He has your eyes, Armanos," she said softly, gently brushing the small cap of hair on Kichiro's head.
It was very comforting and for some reason he already felt bonded to this woman. Well not any woman, his new mother.
The atmosphere was suddenly interrupted by a burst from the door.
"IS HE HERE?" a child's voice shouted, startlingly loud.
Two small children rushed into the room—a young girl and a boy. The girl darted over, coming into clear view for Kichiro. They seemed to be around the same age, maybe a year or two apart. Both children had ivory hair like the man and, the girl's eyes resembled their mother's as did the boy's eyes.
They stared at Kichiro with intense curiosity. The girl who was a bit taller than the boy, broke into a huge smile seeing her baby brother.
"HE'S REALLY CUTE AND SO TINY!" the girl exclaimed loudly.
The boy nodded in agreement, casting a calm, gentle gaze down at Kichiro, their eyes meeting.
Kichiro observed the boy who resembled the mother more than the father. He had the same ivory hair as his sister, slightly wavier than hers, and blue eyes shaped like a foxes but bigger than their moms.
Seeing his brother stare at him so long he felt happy, looking over to his mother.
"He's looking at me, Mama?" the boy asked eagerly.
"It seems he is. Why don't you introduce yourself?" the woman replied with a bright smile.
The young boy stared at his new baby brother with astonishment, reaching out his hand as if expecting Kichiro to take it.
"My name's Lano Naosi. I'm your big brother," he said slowly, his voice trailing off at the end, a hint of uncertainty in his tone.
"Mama, what do I call him..?" Lano asked, sounding a bit saddened that he didn't know his brother's name.
The woman glanced up at her husband, Arryn, standing nearby.
"What is his name, Armanos?" she inquired.
Arryn paused for a moment, considering, before declaring with satisfaction, "Ianus. Ianus Naosi."
His wife smiled warmly at him, equally pleased with the name. She turned her attention back to her newborn child, affirming it lovingly.
"Ianus Naosi, Amaris," she said with a mother's tenderness.
The excited girl who had been watching eagerly chimed in.
"Ianus Amaris! I'm your Elovalina, Hai," she exclaimed brightly.
"Elovalina? Amaris?" Kichiro didn't fully understand the words but could feel that they weren't bad.
Wanting to express his happiness at meeting them, Kichiro found himself utterly unable to in his current infant state.
Not even 20 minutes in and be already wanted to grow up.
Damn baby body
The boy who had spoken earlier gave a heartfelt welcome, and upon hearing his sister's introduction, he decided to revise his.
"Hello, Ianus. I'm Lano, your Elosaros, Amaris."
Kichiro found himself liking this calm boy more than his boisterous older sister. With introductions complete, their mother had Armanos usher the children out of the room. Once they were alone, she let out a satisfied sigh and gazed adoringly at her son.
"They're quite a rowdy bunch of kids, but I have no doubt they'll take care of you," she said tenderly.
"Now... I'm sure you're hungry," she added, beginning to adjust her clothing to nurse him.
Kichiro wasn't so happy anymore.
