POV: Ash
Location: Northern Empire
I reappeared on another round stage located at the center of Watergate Village. Walking down five steps, I was met with a huge fountain over a hundred meters wide.
It has four stages made of round basins, water dripped out from the top and flowed to a small basin, then a larger basin, then an even larger basin until it reached the ground, mixing with a transparent pool of water.
The village is located on the coast, the air was filled with the smell of salt and seaweed. The houses are made with a type of stone I have not seen before, white stones that were dark almost resembling white sand.
I walked along the concrete walkway my right hand holding my luggage and the other holding my staff. The new hat I got from Tiya changed color to match the dress I am wearing, now its dark red color is being reflected by the yellow sun.
I wore the red even though I hated it so much, it is a grim reminder to me of the souls my blood have vanished from this world.
I do not intend to spend the night in this village, I am only visiting the beach because Tiya told me it would be a huge waste to visit Watergate village without going to the beach.
Walking on a wide walkway, the sight of few houses and even fewer people came into view, I could see the sea from my location, I was walking down like I was descending down a mountain.
The locals here surrounded their heads with white flowers weaved into circles, some even wore necklaces made of sea shells, their clothing favored the white color so much, reflecting their skin tone.
Landing my first step on the beach, the site of the sea made my heart beat softer, it was blue, light blue filling my entire sight up to the horizon.
The beach was empty except for a few soaring eagles overhead. Dropping my dark brown luggage on the ground, I removed my red hat and placed it on top of the luggage. I even removed my tight booths and placed them beside the luggage.
Walking with my feet colliding against the white beach sand felt amazing, my foot would slightly sink into the sand every time I walked, bringing me closer to the wide sea.
With a breeze of cold air blowing my hair to the east, I sat on the sand with my legs still stuck on the ground. My hands found their way to my sides and dug into the sand, balancing my sitting position.
I lifted my face and looked into the horizon, to the vast body of water before me. At that time, the yellow sun began to dye itself red, indicating to me that soon darkness would evolve the village.
"If only Bash was here," A lonely whisper escaped my mouth.
"Who is Bash?" a voice asked from behind me. I was shocked but my nerves remained calm, it was a soft voice asking me the question.
My neck turned around to a little girl with long white hair extending to her ankles.
"What is your name," I asked.
"I am Lily,"
"I am Ash,"
"Ash, who is Bash?" her hand rested on my shoulders before she joined me in my sitting position.
"Bash is my other half, a piece of me I have been dying to unite with,"
"You sound like you really want to meet him," her sweet voice said, she was looking at the horizon, her blue eyes avoiding eye contact with me.
"It is my only wish, to meet Bash along the memory barrier."
The little girl jerked a little away from me and then returned her vision to meet my blue eyes.
"Are you planning to cross the memory barrier," she asked.
"yes,"
"You know what happens when you do that,"
"I know,"
"Your memory would be wiped out,"
My blue eyes narrowed heavily on Lily.
Is she really a little girl?
"Me and Bash have made up our mind, we would cross the memory barrier and leave our destiny to fate," I broke my eye contact with Lily, "a life without memories is better than a life with each other apart."
She stood up her white hair dangling and hitting me on the shoulder, "If you crossed the barrier your memories would be gone, even that of Bash would be gone, he would forget about you and you would forget about him, are you still willing to take on the risk," Lily asked.
"Yes," I replied to her, "yes," I repeated to myself, my voice curling and folding back into me.
A slow-moving wave brought a splash of water on my feet when it hit the shore. My attention snapped for a moment and Lily disappeared with it, leaving only the dent on the white sand as proof of her presence.
