Chapter 25 - Chapter 25

POV: Bash

Location: Southern Empire

Her eyes drifting to the tall tower beside us, she responded, "I have a bad feeling about this, the thrown room, let's go there first."

Grabbing Delta's body mid-air tightly, I inhale a large chunk of air, "BATTLE ARTS, POSITIVE" I whispered.

Our bodies crashed into the tall tower beside us along my right shoulder.

Bursting into a hollow pipe in the shape of a tower, my vision narrowed down to the surface below us, it was dark covered in the fog.

"BATTLE ARTS, ZOOM" I murmured.

Our bodies fall with little to no friction with the air, holding Delta tightly, my feet slammed to the ground below us, creating a huge impact wave, cracking all the ground widen us.

The fog lifted abruptly upon our rough landing. Delta regained her footing, her eyes widening as she noticed the enigmatic man beside the ominous black throne. Moonlight filtered through the crumbling walls, outlining his silhouette in an otherworldly glow.

His long white hair dangled up to his knees, and a white sword rested in a scabbard along his waist, it only had three intersections on it, they were made of black threads going around the sword like a vine.

"I have finally found it," he yelled out without even looking towards our direction.

"Using the mist to search for the Shinzin Ritta was the right choice," he said, this time staring at us with cold blue eyes.

"The Shinzin Ritta, Impossible," Delta said, narrowing her vision to the strange figure in front of us.

"We searched everywhere and we couldn't find it," she continued, moving her hand in an arc while taking one step forward.

The sound of a foot kicking the thrown echoed throughout the half-crumble chamber room, in the middle of the now broken black chair, the handle of a dark sword emerged, it was deep ocean kind of black going from the sword handle to the sword itself.

The sword was still halfway embedded in the black stone throne, being highlighted by the moonlight.

"I am Kowoske, the one who would be inheriting this sword from the dark king," he said. moving his hand towards the sword handle.

The air surrounding Delta began to hum with lightning sparks, she placed her hand on the sword handle still dangling along her waist.

With one of her feet stretched forward and her back leaning close to the ground, she inhaled a lot of air, "That sword does not belong to you!" she said, her body bolting in the direction of Kowoske.

Blue after-effects trailed the straight line she flashed through, her sky-blue sword crashing on Kowoske.

Kowoske's move to pull his sword out of the scabbard saved his head from ruling on the ground. With their sharp swords crossing against each other, Kowoske stared directly Into Delta's eyes then kicked her in the guts.

She came flying towards my direction and then slammed into me. Her momentum pushed me back with my feet dragging along the stone floor.

The throne room was over three hundred meters wide, with a round wall extending into the sky, the only object kept in the room was the throne itself, a black masterpiece now crushed with a black sword stuck at the center.

"He is a Sanzaimon," I whispered to Delta, "you can't defeat him alone, we have to team up."

Grinding her teeth, Delta stood only a meter beside me, "Bash, we cannot afford to let him have the Shinzin Ritta," she said, her mouth gasping for air.
