POV: Bash
Location: Southern Empire
We have searched the entire castle for five days, Lifting almost every stone in search of the Shinzin Ritta. Even the throne room that sits under the tallest tower had nothing of value to offer, only a chest filled with old copper coins that now value less than three gold coins.
"Delta, if we do not find anything tomorrow I am leaving," Hanabi said, taking a bite of a wild chicken we caught during the day in a nearby forest.
"Hanabiii," kanade said, tugging at Hanabi's shirt as they sat on the same stone.
"It's okay," Delta said, "we will go back to the branch HQ tomorrow and report whatever the outcome is."
The chicken ribs in my hands made a good distraction for me, avoiding eye contact with any of them as they discussed issues between themselves.
Delta's voice called for my attention from a lone stone she was sitting on, her sword tilted against it. "You have my gratitude for staying with us this long," she said.
Lifting my chin upwards, I smiled in her direction, "Don't worry about it, you have paid me more than I needed."
As we sank deeper into the night, we all returned to our tents, with the three of them sleeping in one tent and myself in the other.
My eyes were closed but I could not sleep, I was excited that tomorrow I would make it to the next village, bringing the number of villagers I had left to four.
Only four villages stand between me and the memory barrier.
My nose began to be filled with something that felt like water, opening it, my eyes couldn't see anything, it was white, white fog filling the entire atmosphere.
"Delta!, Kanade!, Hanabi!" I shouted. Getting out of my tent in a hurry.
Using only memory, I navigated to their tent directly beside mine. A head bumped into my forehead and I took a step back.
"Ita...ita..ta..ta," Delta made a sound. She suddenly grabbed my hand while walking away from the tents.
"Hanabi and Kanade are missing," she said, her voice sounding worried.
I suddenly stopped then placed my other hand on Delta's shoulder, "We can't see anything from the ground level, let me get us up to the tower."
Delta turned her entire body towards me and then asked, "How?"
Without saying a word, I proceeded to lift her by the legs and pressed her upper body into my chest, "Hold onto me tightly," I said. She then circles her arms around my back and locks her hands together.
"BATTLE ARTS, DESTRUCTIVE TOUCH," I shouted into the mist-covered air.
A gravitational pull made us levitate upwards at high speed, we landed upside down on a wall of air a hundred meters above the ground. Delta's blonde hair was dangling towards the ground surface, to a vast sea of white fog.
She released her right arm from me, pointing her forefinger directly at the ground surface below us. "My lightning can travel through the fog, if it hits a living thing I would know."
The air surrounding us began to hum with electrifying energy, "BATTLE ARTS, THUNDERBOLT," Delta's lips roared.
In a zigzag through the air, a blue thunderbolt traveled to the ground like a snake, creating a soundless thunderclap.
Delta suddenly squeezed her other hand grabbing me even more tightly. "I felt a strange presence beside that of Hanabi and Kanade," she said.
"They are in a building west of the castle, however, in the thrown room, I noticed an unfamiliar electric signal, probably the cause of this mist," she concluded.
Looking at the tall tower directly to our left, I returned my vision to Delta's blue eyes. "The thrown room or the site of the girls, which one should we hit first."
