"Why?" Uta asked, genuinely puzzled.
"That's a mutated Demon Ape! Its materials will be invaluable. If we can bring them back, the Sage will definitely agree to see us!"
"Hmm. That's a good point," Uta admitted, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Alright, guess we'll figure something out."
The massive Demon Ape, unrelenting in its assault, hurled another boulder, then immediately began conjuring another wave of icy spikes. It wasn't giving them a moment to breathe.
"Okay, this is annoying," Uta said, grabbing Stella by the waist again. Before she could protest, he teleported them to another ledge, farther from the rampaging creature.
The Demon Ape screeched in frustration, scanning its surroundings in search of its prey.
"It's looking for us," Stella whispered, crouching low behind the rocks.
"Yup. Now, how should we deal with it?" Uta mused.
"You mean, even you can't—"
