"Somewhere very far away from Carbania"
Blood pooling at the ground of a cave. Inside, there are two men standing and blood splashed on them. Their faces are not obvious but there are two corpses near their feet. They proceed to leave but they encounter a kid who sees them holding their weapons and looks at the corpses. The kid has green hair, red eyes and pale skin.
The kid shocked, scared and about to cry: M-Mom… Dad…
One of the men try walking to the kid and his face is now Obvious. He is Watari and the other man is Natiro. Once Watari moves towards the kid, the kid grows out wings and flies away crying.
Natiro looking at the cave: Don't bother Watari… The kid is a demon but after all he is too young to do any harm…
Watari: Hey you can't blame me on my aggressive behavior… You are the only human I talked to in a whole year.
Natiro: You were always that aggressive… Anyways, let's go… I wonder how are we supposed to find the way home… Damn you Sarume first choice is putting us on the line…
Watari: Don't be like that… I trust captain… Anyway I feel life force… humans… Do you think outsiders can be friendly with us?
The two proceed to walk off the cave walking into the wilderness towards that life energy

Sarume walks standing among Watari and Natiro acting as if he was in shock
Sarume whispers to the two: Pretended to be panicked, you two. If we are lucky enough this thing will kidnap you. I need you to get information about this thing.
Natiro whispers back: You really putting us on the front line? What if we couldn't return?
Sarume: Within two years if you don't return I'll go search for your corpses. Just go.

The king, a friendly old man looks classy and wearing the royal clothes walks in with a gorgeous looking female knight with long brown hair, red clothes and has a sword sheathed on her waist and royal cross badge on her white cape worn on her red clothes.
The king: Amaya, stop overreacting. This kingdom kept its peace for centuries why do you think it is a big deal now.
Amaya: But… You know that having a meteor in our kingdom isn't normal, your majesty. I just ask for you to our squad around you more often.
The king: You know exactly that I think a squad as talented as yours are wasted in a position as royal guards especially in this era. Why don't you take the day off? Take a break.
Amaya: But… Your majesty-…
The king interrupts her in a joking tone: It's an order royal guard captain. Direct order from king Samiru III.
Amaya smiles: Sir yes sir.
"Out of Carbania border, at some outsider camp"
Watari and Natiro arrive at the camp. They find no one as they walk among the tents but still nothing.

He's interrupted as a lot of outsiders rush out of their tents aiming their spears at the two knights who raise their hands in the air surrendering.

Sarume: But-…

Amaya walks in the house putting her badge and sword on their holders and lies on the couch staring at the ceiling.
Amaya thinks to herself: Why are you so concerned and trying to create danger out of no where, Amaya… Is this because you are really worried about the king. I mean if I choose between working under him or anyone else I'll choose him… He is a good man… But… he is right… It's a waste for a squad like this to be royal guards in a peaceful era… All of them are amazing knights… But… Do I add myself to their category… I joined royal guards to escape the past… The past I try to escape but the echos keep chasing me…
Doorbell interrupts her thoughts. She gets up and opens the door. It's Sora who came to check up on her.
Amaya confused: Sora? Why are you here? How was the academy?
Sora: Sorry, miss Amaya. I know I should tell you before visiting but… I saw you coming early today. Wanted to check if everything is fine.
Amaya: It's ok. Come in if you want.
"In Niklas' office"
Sarume looks distracted for a moment: They can't be dead… I shall wait another year…
Niklas looks at him confused: What do you mean?

Niklas gives him three CVs: Check on them yourself.
Sarume looks at the first CV: Yudai Zenan… Ice element user… expert in hand to hand… he looks impressive but his record is only good with monsters… he fought 5 criminals and 5 of them escaped from him… looks like he has a problem in fighting humans…
Niklas: He can do a good job in your squad. You guys are only summoned against strong monsters. Look at the second one… Yamaoka Ren, the current vice captain of alpha squad. She uses wind element. Unlike Zenan she's good at fighting criminals… I think she's less suitable for your division but the decision is yours.
Sarume grabs the third CV: Well she's good somehow… The captain himself… Takeo Masuyo… What type of elements is explosion?
Niklas: We don't have info about it.
Sarume gets up: Anything else? I have some private work outside the capital so I would be gone for a while. I can meet up with them when I return. Actually, I'd like to meet up with all my squad and you, sir Niklas…
