Stan's POV.
"Did it work?"
I clench my hand several times to check if this is really my new body.
[It seems the assimilation is complete, master.]
I turn my gaze to the holographic screen where the voice is coming from, a slight smile on my face.
This holographic screen is visible only to me. It's a message Arlecchino sent me directly, without going through a computer. She used my nanomachines as an intermediary.
[So this is how you see the world?]
There were several nanomachines currently in this body, working every second to analyze information.
Their role was to prevent the formation of a complete consciousness inside the clone before I took possession of the body, but also to ensure the proper functioning of my hearts and brains.
Yes, I literally have two brains and three hearts now.
An artificial brain helps me support the enormous load of information I receive every second from the real and digital world (Internet), but also to establish various strategies at a speed barely slower than my real brain.
My three hearts are composed of an extremely well-isolated miniature nuclear reactor to avoid erasing the entire city in case of overload.
Finally, a modified biological heart to withstand extreme situations and a heart similar to Arlecchino's that is created to manage the flow of titan blood in my body.
There are also some differences compared to ordinary people, like my abnormally dense muscles or my internal organs modified to withstand extreme environments.
Currently, I am able to survive millennia by feeding only on stones and water.
So yes, in this body, I have officially surpassed the mortal stage to become something extremely close to divinity.
If I had Ford's perpetual motion machine plan, I would officially be self-sufficient.
A bit like SCP-682.
[Affirmative, I am happy that the master can get closer to me.] Arlecchino's cold voice seems to contain a hint of warmth.
"Don't be mistaken, I haven't abandoned my old body since this one is temporary."
[ ….. ]
It seems my words have left Arlecchino perplexed. She can't really understand the attachment of a biological life form to its physical envelope.
She uses her current body for convenience; I'm sure Arlecchino would download her consciousness to the Internet without hesitation in case of danger.
Personally, no, I doubt that consciousness would really be me.
That's the big difference between her and me, despite the fact that I'm partly a machine now.
"I'm entrusting Terri and my body to you for a moment, I'm going out for a bit."
I raised my arms in the air to display a holographic image of titan glyphs. I used the combination of glyphs for teleportation.
[Honey, wait for me.] Giffany's voice resonated behind me, but the spell had already been cast.
….
[Can I use magic like that too?] Arlecchino seemed surprised by my sudden movement.
"Yes, you just need to train or study the glyphs more." I had forgotten to mention that you need to have a certain understanding of where you want to go.
Personally, I can just use Google Maps to go almost anywhere on Earth, and if I really want to go anywhere, I should create my own satellite or hack one to get more information.
[Affirmative, and I hope your experiments will be fruitful.] Arlecchino cut the communication after that.
It seems she understood that I was going to test my new strength and decided to give me some space.
Too bad Giffany doesn't have that tact.
"So, this is Gravesfield, huh?" I observed the landscape for a moment before venturing out of the alley.
This place is a city larger than Gravity Falls. I must admit it's a change from the quiet environment of Gravity Falls, but it reminds me of my city, like Johan.
After about ten minutes of walking, I finally reached the place I was looking for.
*Knock knock*
"Hello, do you need something?" A woman wearing glasses and a veterinarian outfit opened the door.
According to my analysis, she has just gotten home from work.
"I'm new in town and I admit I got a bit lost looking for the town hall, so I knocked on a random door to ask for some help," I express my bullshit without blinking.
"Oh, well sure, but don't you have a cell phone with a guide app?" She seems a bit doubtful.
I'm literally a super computer on legs. I don't need a phone right now.
"I lost my cell phone on the way..." There was an awkward moment of silence before she let out a little sigh and came out.
"I'll guide you, but I have to go to a meeting at the high school soon." She immediately took the lead.
"Thank you for your help, oh, where are my manners? My name is Stan Pines and you, charming lady?" It's time to break the ice with an interesting character.
"Hmm~ me, a charming lady?" She seemed a bit surprised by my words, but then embarrassed.
"I don't see any other charming creature here." I winked at her.
"I'm Camila Noceda, and sorry if you're interested in me, but I'm a single mother and widow." She immediately put up a barrier between us to counter my future advances.
She's really a mother before being a woman, huh? But can that stop me? Of course not.
"Haha, I've also lost someone, and looking at you, I had a feeling of connection."
Sorry for using you Ford but it's for the plan.
"Sorry for your loss and..." She wanted to say more, but we had already arrived at the town hall.
"Camila, I think it's not a coincidence that I knocked only on your door and not another. So, here's this." I gave her my landline number.
"If you want to talk or get some help for your child, then call me. I'm a bit of a magician." I lit some fire and juggled temporarily.
"Wow, amazing!" I could see she had stars in her eyes. She's really similar to Luz; she's too gullible or naive, maybe both.
"I had to learn a trick or two for my somewhat special nephews."
After some polite exchanges, I entered the town hall. Once inside, I teleported to old Gravesfield.
I could come here directly, but I wanted to establish a relationship with the Noceda family first before continuing.
I walked a bit before reaching the cemetery. I slightly injured my hand and spread the titan blood in the same place where Belos spread it.
As expected, a portal opened.
"It's time to take a look at the heart of a real titan and possibly recruit other scientists."
You have to understand that, despite his racism towards the creatures of the Boiling Isles, Belos, or Philip, is a competent scientist. If he doesn't want to stop his projects, then I'll settle for Lilith.
I doubt Eda would accept being submitted or controlled. I'd need to have a special relationship with her for that.
"I'm really strange. No matter what world I go to, I always have new problems."
Despite my complaints, I crossed the portal.
