Chapter 5 - Chapter-5

Years passed swiftly, seasons changing in the blink of an eye. 5 years quickly flew by.

On a steep mountain path...two figures could be seen following each other.

"Ma..Master Remind me again why... why you built the shrine on such a mountain peak?" one of the figures was a child roughly only about 5 years old, yet despite his young age the little child speak fluently as if he was an adult.

"brat why are you weak!! when i was your age i used to walk twice the distance and sometimes even fight monstrous beast on the way" grumbled the other figure, an old man in his seventies.

The child remained silent as he looked at his master doubtfully and they continued their trek....

Finally after what felt like half a day, the two Master and disciple duo finally reach the peak of the mountain.

At the summit lay a wide crater filled with lush grass, colorful flowers, and a small pond—a veritable heaven on earth.

The child sighed. Despite the arduous journey back, he understood why his master chose this place for their shrine.

In the center of the crater stood a small house—or what his master called a shrine. This had been Lin Haoran's home since his reincarnation Five years ago, after he was picked up by the old man who introduced himself as his master.

.

Truth be told Lin Haoran wasn't quite sure how his reincarnation had occurred. Infantile visions and muddled memories clouded his recollections.

The first thing he knew he was held in the arms of a very beautiful lady... then chaos insued...and the next thing he knew there was this strange old man who was forcing feeding milk down his throat...

Ahem~ he phrase that wrong... anyway as for whether the old man save him or kidnap him from his original parents Lin Haoran wasn't sure.. what was even more puzzling was that he actually inherited his old name from earth.

Five entire years have passed since then and despite his short time here, he had witnessed many strange inexplicable things. At this point, anything seemed possible

"Brat!! are you daydreaming?...go check our gains during this period" barked the old man, snapping Lin Haoran out of his reverie.

The little kid - Lin Hoaran ran down the crater and approached the shrine.

In front of it hung a large bell attached to a bundle of strings, below which sat a square box with a hole on top.

According to his Master this humble abode of theirs was called a martial shrine, Apparently the people in this world worship martial arts to the point that they built a shrine for it, here martial artist of varrying strength could live here and protect the regions surrounding it.

And this place was his master- Chun Yijun's Shrine.

Lin Haoran slowly knelt down and slowly open the box and looked inside.

"one...two...three....four..Master it's four" Lin haoran spoke as he finish counting.

"Four What ? 4 Gold ? silver? Don't tell me it's bronze coin again??" Chun Yijun frowned.

"No...Master what I mean is ...it's the fourth time we got robbed this month" Lin Hoaran said with a mischievous smile, holding up four fingers.

Hearing this The old man nearly choked. He glared at Lin Haoran as if he were his nemesis.

" You..then why are you Grinning...darn those thieves, I'll get them one of these days.!!" the master fumed.

"Or master it could also be that we didn't get any offering this month" Lin Haoran spoke again to which he received a another sharp gaze from his master.

"YOu...damn it ... You stay hear and clean the shrine.. I'll go hunting and be back on the evening" the Old man grumbled, storming off down the path they had come.

Lin Haoran stared speechlessly as his master disappears...Soon there was only him in the wide crater....

He snorted and slowly walk over to the side of the shrine, grabbed a broom and tossed it in front of the Shrine..

Soon as if being control by an invisible hand, the broom stood upright and began sweeping. If the old man had seen this, his eyes would have bulged out so much he might have gone blind.

Meanwhile Lin haoran Opened the shrine door near the square box and entered as if this was all natural for him.

inside of the Shrine was a cheap home, with a simple fire place for cooking, one room with a bed and another bed on the ground...this was Lin Haoran's humble abode.

He went to his bed on the ground and lied down peacefully.

"Wheel of heaven and Earth" He whispered.

Three years ago, meaning 2 year after his reincarnation, Lin Haoran discovered he possessed a golden finger—a blessing from the game he had played before he died. He had lamented that he might never use his new abilities, including the Wheel of Heaven and Earth, only to have them manifest before him.

Lin Haoran even guessed that the wheel had traveled with him and only appeared when he called its name.

Discovering his golden finger and its connection to his reincarnation left Lin Haoran with many unanswered questions—about why all the stat point didn't travel with him, the reason for his reincarnation, and whether his family mourned him back on Earth.

But He concluded that there was little point dwelling on these mysteries. He was alive once more, and that was what mattered most.
