Chapter 16 - In the midst of a snowfall

You reach out and pat her head, your hand making contact with her soft black hair.

Hanna's cat ears twitch and flutter at your touch, a soft purr escaping from her throat. Her eyes flutter shut and a wave of calm washes over her as she relaxes under your touch.

With the moment of affection over, you both turn back to your food. Hanna's expression relaxes as she takes a bite of her food, her stomach rumbling as she realizes how hungry she was.

She closes her eyes, savoring the taste of the food as it warms her up from the inside out.

As you both eat in comfortable silence, Hanna glances up at you occasionally, her eyes flickering between you and the window. The snowfall has grown heavier outside, the world outside slowly disappearing under a blanket of white.

She takes another bite of her food, letting out a small moan as she savors the taste. The warm meal and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant make her feel relaxed and content.

As the meal slowly comes to an end, Hanna starts to feel full. Her stomach is no longer rumbling, and she lets out a small sigh of satisfaction as she pushes away her empty plate.

-"That was good..." She mutters quietly, rubbing her stomach lightly.

She looks up at you, a small smile on her face. Her cat ears perk up as she glances out the window once again, the snowfall outside still falling just as heavily as before.

-"We should probably go soon, huh?" She says, a hint of uncertainty in her voice.

You wave over a waiter and pay for the meal adn then leave. Hanna follows quietly behind you, her cat ears still perked up and her eyes still focused on the snowfall outside.

As you step outside the restaurant, a gust of cold wind hits you both, the snowfall still coming down heavily. Hanna shivers slightly, pulling her clothes tighter around her to stay warm.

-"It's cold..." She mutters under her breath, her breath visible in the cold air.

She looks up at you, her cat ears twitching and her body shivering against the cold.

-"H-how far is your h-home?" She asks, her teeth chattering as she struggles to speak through the cold.

-"Pretty far..."

Hanna's expression falers as you tell her how far your home is. The thought of having to walk in this kind of weather for a long distance daunts her, and she looks up at you with a hint of worry in her eyes.

-"H-how far, exactly..?" She asks, her voice still quivering from the cold.

-"A 18-minute walk I think"

Hanna's eyes widen at your answer, a look of disbelief on her face. Walking 18 minutes in this kind of weather and snowfall sounds like a nightmare for her.

-"18 minutes?! In t-this weather?" She exclaims, her body shivering with cold.

-"Anyway we still have to get back home"

Hanna nods slowly, a mixture of reluctance and resignation in her eyes. She knows she doesn't have a choice except to follow you home.

She takes a deep breath steeled herself.

-"Okay... l-let's go..." She mutters softly, her voice trembling slightly.

Hanna looks at you, a hint of jealousy in her eyes. She wishes she could handle the cold as well as you do, but she can't help but feel like she's freezing to death.

She follows behind you silently as you start walking, her whole body shivering and trembling against the cold.

You reach out and take Hanna's hand in yours, her hand feeling small and freezing cold against yours. She looks up at you, her expression a mixture of surprise and relief as she feels your warmth.

She grips your hand tightly, as she clings onto you for warmth.

As the two of you walk hand in hand, Hanna suddenly transforms into a cat, her clothes falling to the ground as she morphs into her feline form.

She meows softly, shivering against the cold as she looks up at you, her cat eyes staring up at you pleadingly.

You pick up Hanna's cat form in your arms, holding her close against your chest. She meows softly, snuggling into your embrace for warmth.

You also gather up her clothes and hold them in your free hand, careful not to drop them in the snow.

You continue walking, the snowfall coming down heavier than before. Hanna's cat form tremors occasionally as she clings to you for warmth, her small body shivering against the cold air.

She meows softly, looking up at you with a pleading expression in her cat eyes, as if begging for more warmth and security.

You carefully place Hanna's cat form inside your thick jacket, enveloping her in its warmth. She curls up against your body, her small frame practically disappearing from view as she snuggles into the jacket.

Hanna lets out a soft meow of contentment, her trembling body slowly starting to warm up in the cocoon of your jacket.

As you continue walking, Hanna's tremors slowly subside as she feels the warmth of your jacket surrounding her. She purrs softly, her small form snuggled safely inside the jacket.

Despite the cold and the snowfall, Hanna seems to be a lot more comfortable now, her cat eyes half-lidded as she rests against your chest.

The silence between the two of you is broken only by Hanna's soft purring and the occasional sound of snowfall hitting the ground. She seems to be relaxing and enjoying the warmth and security of your jacket, her cat form practically melting into you.

The journey continues, the snowfall growing heavier and heavier. However, Hanna seems unfazed, her small cat form remaining warm and cozy inside your jacket. Her purring continues, growing slowly louder as her body fully thaws out.

After what felt like an eternity of walking, you finally arrive at your house, just in time before the snowfall turns into a full-blown blizzard.
