Cassius walked behind Rose as she walked through the walkway to the slaves' quarters.

Felonious had promised Cassius that he would study more about Rose; he had also pleaded with Cassius to decide what he wanted to decide what he wanted to do with Rose. If not, she would soon start to exhibit some signs of rejection.

The signs of rejection were in two forms, the first one was rejection of acknowledgment. If he failed to acknowledge her as the one who awakened him, her soul might register that they were not appreciated, and each time they were near him, it might want to get far away from him by any means, including death. It could get that serious especially when he failed to mark her as a slave.

The second one, which was the most important, and the one Felonious believed was the real problem, was the feeling of being rejected by a mate.
