The way his body was reacting to Rose alarmed him.
He wasn't supposed to feel that way about her yet he felt himself losing control over her.
First, he wasn't supposed to have sex with a human, but he'd done it anyway. He thought it'd just be that, sex, but it wasn't, he would feel himself getting addicted to her voice, to her touch, to her body, to her scent, and he couldn't imagine how it would feel when he had a taste of her blood.
Humans were not trustworthy, and he had a valid reason for not trusting them, he wasn't about to let history repeat itself, never.
Rose was a slave. And he intended to keep her as his slave forever. He wasn't stupid; he knew his body craved her, and she might just be the only woman who'd ever entice him; she had something about her that charmed him, and he always got what he wanted, but he never let her get what she wanted.
