Thinking about the Twilight Codex system and its replacement, especially after the arrival of mana and the changes to the world, Ellis felt that there would be many changes to the body. And now that he could feel the mana inside him, he instinctively knew that people would be able to live much longer.
The question was how people would live longer and become stronger without the Twilight Codex system. Was there a replacement? Clearly, not at the moment. So, all he could do was wait and bide his time while searching for other options.
"Brother."
Snapping him out of his revere, was his sister as she opened her eyes and was looking at him
"I will choose the Investigator class."
Surprised by how much more decisive she seemed and how quickly she changed her opinion, Ellis grew curious. And asked her to clarify.
"Why? Like what made you change your mind?"
"You know how I haven't been able to use my innate talent effectively in battles? I've always felt it was a waste not to use it more efficiently. After thinking it over, I believe the investigator class is designed specifically for my talent, which should make it much easier to utilize. Although it will probably involves aspects like the mind and brain, I also think it's a close combat class. So, it should work out fine."
Hearing her mention the innate talent and how it will make it easier to use opened his horizon a little for Ellis because he didn't think that far, he just thought the first or last class should be special, and nothing else. But maybe she was right. So he just said.
Hearing her mention the innate talent and how it would make it easier to use opened Ellis's eyes a bit. He hadn't considered that perspective; he'd only thought the first or last class should be special and nothing more. Maybe she was right. So he simply said.
"Okay, go ahead."
Nodding her head, she looked at the air in front of her for a moment. Then, with a surprised expression, she turned to face him and stared, seemingly unsure of what to say. Ellis, sensing her hesitation, asked bluntly.
"What are the missions or conditions for the class-up? Just say it; it's not like they'll be impossible to do."
After staring him a little more, she said. " There are three requirements, one that I should activate the innate skill for one hour without stop, the second is ten magic stones from monsters with levels above 50. but the third one is the problem, I need to deal a finishing blow to a monster with level above 75."
After staring at him a bit longer, she said, "There are three requirements. First, I need to activate the innate skill for one hour without stopping. Second, I need ten magic stones from monsters with levels at or above 50. But the third one is the problem: I have to deal the finishing blow to a monster with a level above 75."
Hearing the requirements, Ellis was reminded that monsters had levels, something he had forgotten since his system didn't display them. Despite this, he didn't see any problem with the requirements. So, he asked.
"What are the levels of the monsters around here? And what's the problem with the requirements? Because I don't quite get it."
"The second requirement is easy. The first one is a bit challenging, but if it's done in a quiet space without disturbance, it shouldn't be a problem. The real issue is with the third requirement. The monsters around here are generally around level 50, and even the mini-bosses are mostly just above 60. Finding a monster above level 75 here is difficult, and high-level gates are scarce and should be even harder for us if I can't level up."
Hearing what his sister said, Ellis after preparing himself to hear something worse was let down. He is now battling with just his basic attributes nothing more and his Constitution is just F+, so while he didn't know how much he would need to level it up. He was sure after clearing this dungeon, it would be possible. So he will become a lot stronger. Then there is the Mana, his enormous amount of it, so when he could use it effectively, and with some active skills. His strength then wouldn't just become 1+1=2 but 1+1=100.
Hearing what his sister said, Ellis, who had prepared himself for something worse, felt let down. He was currently battling with just his basic attributes, nothing more, and his Constitution was only F+. But even so, he was already much stronger than his sister, who, according to her, was the third strongest.
While he wasn't sure how much Blank Points it would take to level up the Constitution, he was confident that after clearing this dungeon, it would be possible. And knew he would become much stronger. Then there was his enormous Mana reserve; once he could use it effectively in battles, along with some active skills, his strength wouldn't just be 1+1=2 but 1+1=100.
So he couldn't imagine anyone or anything out there stronger than him, and just casually said.
"Don't worry, there should be a final boss here, and I think we're getting close to him. And even if he's not at the required level, we can just head to another dungeon."
Seeing how casual her brother was, Clara didn't know where his confidence was coming from, but she decided to trust him, and go with the flow, then nodded.
"Let's continue."
After Ellis said that, they delved deeper inside. Though there were more branching paths, with his sister, navigating them didn't take much time, especially now that they were familiar with the terrain.
Finally, they arrived in front of a massive door, over three meters tall, with some writing in a foreign language etched on it. And though it appeared to be made of wood, it still exuded a dangerous vibe and was likely leading to the final boss.
