Chapter 19 - Clara (4)

Distancing his head away a little from his sister after kissing for some time, breathing heavily while seeing the string of saliva that connected their mouths. And not getting enough, Ellis went ahead again while extending his hand toward her breasts to cup a feel of their softness, but he suddenly heard his mother coughing not far from them,

"Cough"

Looking at her annoyingly as she interrupted him, and seeing her cheeks which became a lot redder and her dropping eyes, while being surprised a little Ellis still returned to his sister again. Seeing her hazy eyes glazed with lust and being mesmerized, he squeezed her breast a little, and gave a light peck at her lips.

"Ellis" hearing his mother shout loudly this time, and feeling it was enough for now. He finally put his sister to the side and stood up, going toward his mother and standing inches away from her.

"What?" Seeing how she turned silent and meek now, and feeling like he bullied her enough for today, Ellis finally wrapped his hands around his mother, hugging her tightly.

Seeing how she hesitantly hugged him back, and feeling some immense softness at his chest, Ellis felt like something was wrong. He distanced himself a little and, holding the shoulders of his mother, finally decided to ask, "You're not actually wearing a bra?"

Seeing her cheeks turn red from embarrassment, and finally noticing that her clothes had been changed, Ellis was taken aback, wondering what was going on in his mother's head. But suddenly being hugged by her again, and seeing her bury her head in his chest, he didn't know what to make of the situation.

Standing still for a couple of minutes, Selena finally distracted herself from him.

"Actually, lunch isn't ready yet. I warmed some water for you, so you should go take a shower. And since your old clothes seems to have become small for you, I prepared some of your father's clothes." After saying this hurriedly, Selena quickly left the room.

After looking at his mother's back as she left, Ellis pondered for a little but didn't come up with any answer, then turned his head towards his sister. He teased her, "So, do you want to come with me?" Being suddenly asked such an embarrassing question, Selena shook her head a little and turned away.

"Well, you'll be the one to lose out anyway," Ellis said before leaving.

...

Sitting at the food table with his sister beside him and his mother in front of him, and seeing that the food she had prepared was beef with potatoes, his favorite, Ellis remembered his last two years of fast food and even though he blamed her for what happened to him a little. He was still moved by small things like these, giving his mother a warm gaze and started eating.

"It's delicious," getting surprised by the taste, he unconsciously commented at it. and while looking at the crunchy outside but tender inside beef, Ellis was sure that his mother's cooking was not like this before, like it really improved a lot.

Looking at his mother and seeing that she was beaming with a smile full of warmth and affection after he complimented the food she made, Ellis felt a little embarrassed, especially remembering what he thought before. But thinking about things again, he noticed that there were many changes that had happened to his mother.

"Your cooking has improved a lot," he said. "And even your appearance; you look more younger and more beautiful. How did this happen?" He couldn't hold himself back any longer and finally asked.

"It's the effect of innate talent," she replied briefly, her cheeks becoming redder as she avoided his gaze and didn't mention the name of the innate talent. Ellis was stunned; even though there had been some arguments between them before, it was mostly from his side because he couldn't get back at his father and because of his sister's problems. But those things aside, he knew that his mother loved him the most; it was just because of her weak personality. Even then he still didn't remember his mother hiding anything from him before. And why was she becoming embarrassed anyway? Looking at his sister who took the response normally, he didn't know what to do with this situation anymore and changed the subject.

"Anyway, I see that the electricity is working here now, and life seems to be returning to normal; what's the situation?"

"Oh, the electricity here stopped working just for two days after the gates appeared; it seems like there's a problem with it," Selena said. "But you know how the military's main headquarters in our Nadia country is near here in Zarechny. I don't know about Rusford City where you used to live in, but here zombies were dealt with quickly; aside from people who couldn't adapt to mana at first, not many became zombies after that. And because of that, some electricity technicians started looking for a solution to electricity problems; one person even had an innate talent related to these things while others got skills related to repairment and other things after starting; so it didn't take long."

"While not all houses have electricity, we of course have priority. I also heard that internet will be restored in the near future."

Hearing the long explanation that his sister excitedly said, like she was trying to show off, while Ellis felt weird a little, he still thought of she said. It didn't really matter to him all these things, but having more convenience in life was always better. Then, he still started pondering about the overall situation, and it felt a little abnormal.

"Then why did the military arrive to Rusford late? You know it's not that far from here, and it's not like there aren't other military branches."

"The problem is in the capital, Mila; the situation there is very serious, so most of the military here went there, and I heard it's still not enough. According to Father, there's a mutated wolf there who is very strong and can even command other animals and some strong zombies, so the situation is now out of control."
