Chapter 6 - Part 10

Long ago there was a powerful group of imp type demons that ruled over purgatory. The fire they used was a lot stronger than regular hell fire...they used purgatory flames.

Maestro's life has just changed at the young age of thirteen when he found out that he's actually a demon. After being tested by Sylo, he found out who he actually was, and what he was capable of. Not by memory, but by instincts. He asked Sylo if he was always a demon, and if he was never truly human. Sylo responded that he obviously has human aspects to him. However, it seemed like the demon within him is resurfacing. Maestro then asked how did he even know he was a demon in the first place. Sylo replied that he had visions at first. Then after finding him he felt his aura grow over time. He then states that he believes that now is the right time to take him back to his home...back to hell.

Maestro was about to ask another question still not fully understanding the situation. Sylo interrupted him stating that they should get moving, and that they can continue their conversation on the way there. Maestro stopped him stating that he wasn't sure about leaving due to his home here. His father would freak out if he just disappeared, and left. Sylo rebutted that he would freak out knowing his son was a demon. He then stated to trust him, and that the sooner they leave the better things would turn out. Things was happening all to sudden for Maestro. He asked to for some time to think about it. Sylo agreed then stated that he'll be watching, and waiting for a response. He covered himself in clouds, and flew up into the sky.

Maestro took a deep breath before walking back home thinking about what he should do. When he got home his father asked if the walk helped him feel better. After everything that happened, and knowing what he knows now Maestro stared at him nervously. He kept silent, and headed straight for his room. His father was confused, but understood that he needed to give him some space.

Night time had arrived as Maestro was currently sleeping. He was having another nightmare except this time it was a little bit different. Maestro was being chased by the devil's skeleton. The skeleton was telling him to stop running from fate. Maestro started to panic realizing he couldn't out run the skeleton. Suddenly he was lifted up in the air by the skeleton holding him in a tight grip. As the skeleton brings him closer, it tells him to eat more, and threw him in it's mouth.

Maestro had woke up screaming in fear. So scared he accidentally activated his fire blade. He heard his father getting closer calling his name in concern. Maestro calms down, and deactivated his fire blade. However after doing so, he still saw flames. He looked down in shock realizing that he set his bed on fire. He starts to panic even more as his father arrived to his room. He opened the door to see that the room is halfway covered in flames, and smoke started traveling out the doorway. Maestro was seen standing on his bed trying to stomp out the fire. His father was trying to call his name, but started coughing due to all the smoke. Maestro was still trying to stomp out the flames, but he starts hearing his father coughing realizing he had opened the door.

He starts to panic even more, but couldn't freeze up. He instantly went towards the window, and broke it so the smoke can leave out his room. Immediately after doing so, a powerful gust of wind blew in, and sucked all the fire out the window. Maestro looked out the window to see the flames circling around a cloud as it flies into the dark sky. Maestro exhales in relief, and quietly thanks Sylo for helping him. He turns around to see his father gaining his breath. Afterwards he runs up to hug Maestro asking if he was ok. Maestro confirmed stating that he was fine.

His father then asked what had happened, and more importantly why didn't he try to leave. Before Maestro could answer the two of them felt the entire house start to shake. His father was confused because they never get earthquakes in their area. He tells Maestro to quickly head downstairs. As they reached the bottom floor they were both surprised to see the floor boards cracking. A giant skeletal hand made of solid rock emerged from the ground breaking through the floor. Maestro started to think that this was another nightmare, but knew that it wasn't. They were being attacked by an earth golem.
