The dwarf trudged down the stairs. Yellow orbs attached to the walls glowed as he walked down. He walked around the empty hallways of the first floor and entered one of the rooms. "Mama." He gently closed the door behind him and sees a fellow dwarf with long curly brown hair. She turned to him, her brown eyes dull. "Your helm." She grumbled. "My apologies." He places the helm down on a desk. "Hmmph, have the morons arrived?" She then turned back to tinkering with a lute shaped object.
"They're at the room. What about the glowers?"
"Oh they haven't been botherin' us since I've kicked everyone out, theys thinks we're renovating'" A spark then bursts the lute on fire. She then slammed her palm down tlat the flames, destroying both of them.
"No, how I mean is how bad is it?"
"They sent your smithmates to look for ya, haven't heard them come back yet. Bout! Be glad, we're not there only sane ones. Foolish enough to battle them glowers. Worst of all, I saw the King's Guard's eyes." She walks to him and gives him a concerned look. "They glowed." She hops back to her seat.
"You better hope two old heroes is enough to battle an army. If the king's gone preaching Daradick, we're fooked." She returns to tinkering with the lute.
Drew looked away and then walks out of the room. He sighed to himself. His life had changed within a month and it wasn't quite easy. He could barely trust old friends at this point. He takes out his hammer and tightened his grip around it, his magic making the runes on it glow.
Vines woke up in a jolty, immediately taking a look at his chest. There were scars sure. Bite marks. Why are there bite marks?
"Petal!?" He shouted, soon realizing that the room was empty. He threw the blanket up and then saw the sack of fairies... Empty.
He then looked outside the open window. The Ground Kingdom is built on stone buildings and forges. Most of their tools and weaponry are built with the finest quality of ores. Though it's a kingdom that's barely lit up, the entire kingdom was illuminating with fairies flying around everywhere.
"There wasn't even that many fairies..." Vines gasped, then he heard a groan from under the bed.
"Petal!?" He yelled, seeing her cover d by her loose uniform.
She crawls out of it, looking up at Vines. Then below his chest. "It's dangling." She then creeps back into the depths of the bed hell.
He then yanked the pants from the floor and immediately puts them on. "Petal, I want you to explain what fucking happened last night!?" He shouted, he sounded angry but his face wrinkling in disgust.
He then felt a something land on his shoulder. "Ugly human!" The fairy waved. "Phillip, what the fuck happened? Nothing is adding up anymore." He just sounds so bewildered, defeated by nonsense everywhere he sees.
Phillip looked at the dark dead eys of the nurse crawling out of the bed. "N-nothinng sir. I don't know either!" The fairy scratched his head with a chuckle.
"She fucking bit my-"
"Yes."
"What."
"She said we can copy."
"Copy what?"
The fairy is then suddenly launched back into the sea of fairies at the illuminating sky by a flick of the fingers of an exasperated nurse. She looked at Vines with squinted eyes and a smirk. "I'm going downstairs." She did a quick walk out of the room, Vines held his arms out.
"PETAAAAAAL!?"
Drew was waiting for the two by the empty receptionist desk, drinking up some beer. It was a nightmare. His eyes were dark, his beard has 5 green fairies talking over each other about the color of the beer for 12 minutes.
"Can you all shut up? I'm trying to think." The fairies obeyed, him nodding at their obedience.
A tight grab then clenches his tough shoulder and looked around. "What's the plan?" Her face had the same bloodshot eyes as he had.
"The plan? Fuck the plan!" He throws down the beer bottle and rubbed his palm on his forehead. "It's because of those fucking fairies, I can't even tell what's happening! First thing I saw was a fight in the square and fairies just beaming everyone!"
He pulls her arm to see her cranky face.
"We only collected dozens of those bastards but now I'm seeing hundreds of them, fucking up our kingdom...I wanted it saved, not like this!" His face turned red in anger. The fairies in his beard flower and touched his chin. His breathing slowed down and takes a deep breath. "I need time to think. You two need to clean up this fucking mess before we even do shit about the glowers." He hops off the stool near the counter and enters the hallway.
"Fucking...I shouldn't have done that. Why did I fucking do that...stupid fucking bitch!" A swift punch lands at the counter.
"Petal." A calmer gruff voice called, the man slowly approaching her too. "What the fuck did you to me last night, be honest with me just for once." The tone of his voice rose as he said this.
Petal then pulls out a scalpel.
"Just some surgeries..."
"I haven't seen any evidence of it. And I know what bite marks look like, I'm not fucking dumb."
"It's none of your business."
"My body is my fucking business."
She stared him right at his eyes again, she places her palm at his chest to push him away once more. This time, he grabbed the arm.
"I'll cut that off, let go!"
"We got fairies multiplying like slimes outside, Phillip said they copied you-." Vines gasped as he out those two sentences together, letting of her hand. She ran off into a random hallway.
"Petal!" He shouted, asking himself wether he should follow or not. Questions were already racing in his head. The worst part was this wasn't even the first time it happened.
"Bitch...fucking Forget Syringe..." He then tightens his fists, following her into the series of hallways.
