Alex walked along the sidewalk, his mind racing with potential leads and strategies. The day was warm, but he barely noticed the heat, too preoccupied with his thoughts.
"TSK."
'It had to be Sunday today,' Alex grumbled to himself. 'I wanted to go to Bella's school and start the investigation there, but I guess I'll have to look elsewhere.'
"Ah! I forgot to ask for the piano tutor's contact information." Alex smacked his head in annoyance.
"I guess that means I have to go to the police station."
He decided his best bet was to head to the police station and see if he could retrieve Bella's belongings directly.
He began walking to the police station, trying to formulate theories about Bella's disappearance.
He arrived at the police station after a few minutes of walking. 'This place is sure is busy.' he thought as he walked over to the front desk.
"I'm Alex Woods, a detective. I'm here about the Bella Harrington case," Alex said.
The officer named Johnson looked at Alex up and down with a sneer plastered on his face and said, "And who exactly told you to do it?.....Woods is it? This is a police matter, we've got everything under control."
'The audacity of this bastard…..!' He thought inwardly.
On the exterior, however, Alex maintained his composure and said, "I was appointed by Cassandra Harrington, she needs all the help she can get in finding her daughter."
Johnson stopped typing on his computer, leaned back on his chair and looked Alex right in the eye and said, "We don't need a private eye meddling in the investigation, we've got it under control."
But before Alex could respond to Johnson a female officer approached them and asked, "What's going on here, Johnson?"
Johnson straightened his back, changed his entire demeanor and said, "Just a private detective thinking he can handle police work, Officer Sinclair."
Officer Sinclair, whose badge read "Eleanor," turned to Alex. "Is that so? And what brings you here…?"
"I'm Alex Woods, but you can call me Alex." Alex introduced himself.
'What a beauty, definitely a C-cup' he thought as he looked at Eleanor.
Eleanor is a woman in her late twenties with long black hair falling down to her waist and piercing black eyes, with a perky butt. She looked at Alex with curiosity as he gazed at her from top to bottom.
"Follow me Alex, let's see what we can do." said Eleanor as she began walking.
As Alex followed Eleanor through the station, he couldn't help but admire her perky butt, as it jiggled when she walked.
'What a nice view' he thought.
Eleanor led him to the office of the commissioner, she turned to him and said, "My mother is the police commissioner, she will be the one you will be talking to."
She then opened the door, and they both entered. The moment Alex laid eyes on the woman sitting at the desk, he exclaimed inwardly, 'I'm in love.'
Eleanor's mother, Natalie Sinclair, was a woman in her early fifties, with her long black hair neatly tied into a professional bun, exposing her jawline, her piercing black eyes that seemed to miss nothing.
Dressed in a sharp navy blue suit that emphasized her milfy curves. She exuded confidence and professionalism, every movement deliberate and commanding respect.
'I am definitely making her mine!' Alex resolved to himself.
Natalie looked at Alex and Eleanor and asked, "Who's this?"
"This is Alex Woods, a detective hired by Cassandra Harrington. He's here about Bella's case." said Eleanor.
The commissioner looked Alex over, her gaze sharp and assessing. "Mr. Woods, tell me why I have never heard of you before."
"This is my first case actually." Said Alex in full confidence.
'I know her type, if I show any weakness, she will not hand over anything to me' thought Alex inwardly.
"Ah! So this is your first case, I see." Natalie said while nodding to herself. She then continued, "Then Mr.Woods, why should I trust you with Bella's belongings?"
Alex met her gaze confidently. "Because I'm determined to find her, and I have skills that can complement your investigation."
Eleanor nodded thoughtfully but didn't immediately agree. "Before I hand over any evidence, Mr. Woods, I want to see if you're as good as you claim. There's an unsolved case that's been puzzling us for weeks.
Solve it, and you can have Bella's things."
Alex accepted the challenge and, determined to impress Natalie, took the case files from her and started to go through them.
'Hmm, it's about a series of robbery cases…' muttered Alex inwardly as he read through the files.
Each robbery had occurred in different neighborhoods, with varying targets and methods. Jewelry stores, electronics shops, and even a high-end art gallery had been hit, leaving the police baffled.
There was no discernible pattern in the timing either; some crimes took place in broad daylight, others in the dead of night.
As Alex reviewed the evidence, he noticed a small, seemingly insignificant detail.
At each crime scene, there was a faint, almost invisible chalk mark near the entrance. It was a symbol—a crescent moon.
'A normal person wouldn't have noticed it, but even I could only do it because of the body transformation that I've gone through before.' Alex remarked inwardly.
Realizing the significance, he pointed this out to Natalie and said," I think the one who did this must be a local gang with the crescent moon.." he pointed his finger at the mark on the footage, showing it to Natalie "Catch them, and you will have your culprit."
"Also, I think there is a mole in the security departments of those stores, so Investigate there too." He added.
"Well done, Mr. Woods. You certainly have the skills."
Alex flashed a confident smile. "Thank you, Commissioner. And please, call me Alex."
Eleanor handed him a box containing Bella's laptop and other personal items.
"If you wish to, you can also assist us in other cases as well." said Natalie.
He walked over to Natalie's desk and leaned closer to her and said, "I look forward to working closely with you, Commissioner." flirtatiously.
Natalie raised an eyebrow, a slight smile playing on her lips. "Focus on finding Bella first, Alex. Then we'll talk about other cases."
He grinned, not backing down. "Consider it done, Miss Natalie. And maybe after that, we could discuss our next steps over dinner?"
Natalie's smile widened, a mix of amusement and curiosity in her eyes. "Let's see how well you do with Bella's case first. But I do appreciate your confidence."
Alex chuckled, feeling a spark of chemistry. "Confidence is part of the job, Miss Natalie. And I assure you, I won't disappoint."
As Alex left the precinct with Bella's belongings, he felt a renewed sense of determination.
He had won over the commissioner and secured the resources he needed.
"Alright, It's time to find out what Bella's been up to." Alex muttered with a new sense of vigor.
