Hi, I'm Kinn. Mrs. Morrison must have told you about me," Meg said without raising her eyes. She handed over the report to Kinn and left. Kinn didn't get a chance to even thank her. He could have been happy that Meg didn't notice his face, but that was not the case.
"Are you going to stand there forever?" said Peter. "Come on in."
Kinn and his friends were playing basketball when he got a phone call from Mrs Harley reminding him to be at home before evening. They were going to have dinner with Eric's future in-laws. Kinn is frustrated. It seems everything is going to happen today. David asks him to join them, but he refuses.
"What happened?" asked Allen.
"I forgot about the family dinner with Eric's in-laws," answered Kinn.
"Are you sure you are going with this face?" says Mike, staring at his face. Kinn knew he had no other choice. Even though Eric is his elder brother, he treats Kinn as his best friend. "I'm off for the day."
Kinn reached home, and his mom was waiting anxiously. Kinn knew his father would tell him off. There is nothing he could do now. He hurries to his room, but Mr. Harley asks him to stop. "We are getting late. Let him get ready first," interrupts Mrs. Harley. Eric pushes Kinn to get ready. They talk as Eric helps him in getting ready.
At the restaurant, they are directed to the room where the Bronte family is waiting. They are meeting to finalize the engagement date for Eric and Iva. Mr. Bronte and Mrs. Bronte are curious about Kinn, but Iva gestures to ignore them. The whole time Kinn was sitting there he was trying his best to hide his face. Luckily, no one questioned him.
When they were leaving, he thought he saw Meg there. His eyes were searching for Meg, but couldn't find her. Kinn reached home and saw Mr Harley waiting for Kinn to explain what happened to his face. "What should I think happened to you today? How many times did I warn you? Have you ever tried listening to me?" said Mr. Harley.
"I was helping Mr. Steve," murmured Kinn.
"Helping? Who do you think you are to help everyone you see? You helping others would land you in trouble someday," yelled Mr. Harley. Before Kinn could say anything, his mother stopped him. Kinn looked at his mother and then rushed furiously to his room.
