He held his breath, unable to perceive what was happening. He had experienced bizarre, astonishing victories by a slight margin before, but this was inexplicable to him.
"Is she a golden mutant?" he asked himself, confused.
Mutants are classified into three different categories: Bronze mutants who can evolve their bodies in suitable environments, like the manager—a common occurrence in the Novuache era, though they cannot perform magic.
Secondly, silver mutants are above average, capable of using M2 magic with good vitality and stamina, and can live up to 200 years, though their bodies cannot morph.
Lastly, golden mutants are born with incredible talents and raw power. Their abilities are unlimited, they can live up to 300 years, and they can wield magic and evolve their bodies. Their population barely covers 1%. How a child is blessed with a golden or silver mutant is unknown.
He gazed at red and deep yellow particles dispersing across the room, bouncing and slowly penetrating Veronica's body. The curse that had darkened her body was gradually fading under the rays.
Eros lightly touched one of the particles and it dispersed. "Weird!"
It was like watching fireworks as thousands of particles danced, forming a hexagonal pattern inscribed with a circle, and then another triangle with a new circle, as if performing a ritual to save their master.
The fifth brother, feeling better in the presence of the golden rays, muttered in disbelief, " Ohhh my god! What is happening?"
Eros mumbled, "I do not know myself. Based on the geometrical diagram, perhaps we are experiencing a necromancy spell."
"Lord Eros, explain in English!" Eros urged to beat the damn bastard.
Eros sighed helplessly and explained it. "Necromancy is a branch of magic where the dead can be brought back to life. A Necromancer with a deep connection to their soul can perform such spells. However, there's no evidence she has cast a necromancy spell."
"On the other hand, what we're seeing here is slightly different from necromancy. I don't think she's a necromancer. Something fishy is going on here. She could be the reincarnation of a god," Eros concluded after observing, finding it impossible to reach a verdict.
"I don't feel the unnatural vibe that is usually associated with necromancy," he chuckled. "On the other hand, she might be regenerating herself, or this can be an illusion."
The fifth brother pulled his hair in frustration. Necromancy, God, or regeneration—everything was going over his head.
"Is she a threat to the upcoming future?" Eros pondered.
The Reanimate diagram completed as the red and deep yellow colours vanished. The finale had officially begun.
Eros crossed his arms in distress, knowing the last step was crucial for the spell. Suddenly, he heard a faint sound in his ears. It grew louder and faster, as if a pianist was expressing grief through music.
The ambiance turned sombre, crippling their resolve. Slowly, the tune shifted, bringing hopeful notes back.
"Sound, light, heat, and darkness," Eros muttered, finally grasping what was occurring. His face turned ashen as he stepped back, though perhaps it was already too late. Maybe not!
At that moment, V fifty-six could be seen as either a demoness or a saint. If she were a demon, Eros would have to eliminate her. V-fifty-six posed a threat to the world, and there was no place for darkness here. If she were a saint, he would have to bow before her.
Eros's mind churned with turbulence, uncertain which path to choose. He took a step forward, glancing at her lips, which had turned as pink as a rose.
"You are unbelievable," he rejoiced. "V-fifty six, you will be the mother of my child."
Feeling threatened by an unknown entity they did not understand was normal.
Eros had faith that this girl would bring happiness into his life. If she were a devil, he would make a deal.
Veronica was engulfed in a blaze that burned away her clothes, purifying her of the curse inhabiting her body. Her fair skin shimmered with raw energy flowing through her veins.
Eros frowned and punched the guy standing beside him; he couldn't allow another man to see her like that.
The light vanished, and peace was restored. And the girl was as naked as a newborn baby, flinching her eyebrows.
"My little troublemaker. "
He noticed that above her shoulder, her tattoo was visible. Uncanny! The girl was soskinny that blown away by breeze. It seemed she aged to 10 years in a few hours.
He touched her nerve and could feel that she was alive again.
V-fifty-six slowly opened her eyes and gazed at Eros.
"Welcome back!"
"Zeee! " The girl said it which upset him to the core, although he dared to harm this delicate flower. She sat up and crossed her legs.
Veronica studied her body, where no clothes were found. She glared at the man who was crouching beside her. Covering her chest with her hand, she blinked in confusion.
"I didn't do anything! Trust me. I didn't know that you were a necromancer. "
"Hmm. It's fine. You don't need to make the excuse that you are horny and perverted.
Eros felt wrong when she said it.
"This is not true! I swear. " Eros denied but the girl didn't want to listen it.
"Yeah yeah! All men are same. "
