Katherine barely stepped into the room before the loud shriek had her jumping in fright. She was immediately dragged to the couch, Astrid's excited face shoved in her face.
"YOU DID IT!" Astrid practically launched herself at Katherine, pulling her into a tight hug. "I knew it! I knew it would happen!"
Katherine flushed hard, now realizing why Astrid was this excited. Katherine let out a small laugh. "It's not that big a deal," she muttered shyly as she hugged Astrid back.
"Oh, don't you dare!" Astrid pulled away, her eyes glinting with joy. "This is huge! You're going to be Kieran's Luna! Do you know what this means? It's official! You guys will be bonded now—well, minus the mark, but still! You're going to be Vaeloria's Luna officially. The people can't stop gossiping about this."
Katherine furrowed her eyebrows slightly. "People were gossiping?" she asked.
