Friday comes and Amber is getting ready to go with Callie to that singles night. Kate was wondering why she was getting ready it was 6:15 and kinda late to be getting ready to go out. Not only that, but she hasn't told her about what her and Callie are going to be doing. "Amber, where are you going? It's late you never go out at this time and where are you going? You never ask told me about this, and come to think of it you've been acting pretty weird this whole week. Like something has gotten into to you, what's wrong?" Amber didn't answer her feeling a shame of what she was going to say. But Kate is her bestie and they never hide things from each other. *sigh* "Fine I'll tell you...I-I- I'm going with Callie to a places where they have singles night, I'm sorry that I didn't tell you, I was just scared." "Awww Amber, you don't have to be scared about that. It's good to go out there and check it out, but what made you want to do that?" "Uhhhh no reason... just wanted to give it a try." "Well let me know how it goes with Callie okay and make sure to be home soon okay?" "Okay I will thanks" She got a text from Callie telling her that she's here. "Oh I better go, I'll see you later okay Kate?" Okay Amber, you two be safe." They both hugged and Amber went into Callie's car and drove to the place. They got to the place and started walking to the front. There was a lot of people there. "Well lets start meeting some people." "Oh, okay" They start talking to people but Amber is not really having a good time, these guys don't really catch her eye. She mostly just sat drinking some soda until the night ended. Guys looked at her weird because she wasn't open to them and didn't want anything to do with them. Callie on the other hand was having the best tine of her live talking, drinking, laughing. By the end, she already had a lot of guys numbers and Amber none. "OOOOOO Amber I told you it was fun." "Yeah....maybe fun for you, but not me. I just proof to myself that I hate these kind's of events." "It's okay Amber, there's always next time you can go and maybe it will be different." "I don't know, I just want to go back to the dorms not" Callie drops her off and Amber goes back to her dorm where Kate is waiting for her. "Hey Amber, how was the hang out?" "Yeah come on, this is how everyone is finding their other half, you should give it a try." "I mean... at least it's not in person but uhhhh online people can fake themselves easily." The next few days go by and Amber is just there on the app looking at peoples profiles and talking to some people online but again didn't turn out good all people that she found were either not true, bots, and scammers just looking for fun and want no good stuff of people. Amber felt hopeless, until one day something happens.
