Chapter 19: The Morad's
----
While the hall got reimmersed in their business, a short old man with wrinkles on his face and dim eyes, along with big white eyebrows and long white beard, wearing a chef's attire came running out of the Kitchen.
The fox girl following the old man closely, breathing heavily the old man bowing humbly at William's table, "welcome, esteemed guests."
"I am Morad, the owner and chef of this tavern."
Dumbfounded, William stared at the old man, stuttering, "Thanks for the Welcome, William!, that's me."
Natalie and Lily standing up, held their skirt a bit high and bowing graciously they introduced themselves,
"Natalie. "
"Lily. "
With his dried throat and a sly smile, the old man examining William, "sir, my waitress has done a grave sin, but it is my humble request that you forgive her."
Pulling her forward the old man commanded boldly, "Artha! Ask for respected sir's forgiveness."
Lowering her face in shame and sadness, Artha sat on her knees.
William's gazes fell on Artha's huge loose breasts, her cleave exposed, embarrassing William.
Annoyed at old man, "what grave sin has she done." William's sharp gaze peeping into the old man's soul.
Hesitant, the old man placing the three gold coins on table, "she is a bit moron, without realizing she picked this huge amount."
"And who do you think gave it to her." In a harsh voice William interrogated.
"She told me it was given by respected sir." Hesitant the old man blabbered.
"And why did I gave it."
"For alcohol, food and three suites."
"Then why is she kneeling in front of me instead of bringing what I paid for." Glaring at the old man William pointed towards Artha.
Bewildered, the old man's eyes widened, "but, for the three things that sir has asked for, this amount is just unimaginable."
"Then let her keep the rest."
With these words the silence in the room broke.
Men whispering, "such a huge amount as a tip."
"Who is he."
"Can't you see. He is a slave master. That right there is his sword, and Just look at the two beauties he has caught."
"They, right? But why would he let them sit as equal on his table."
"I know, he plans to earn a lot from them, that is why he is feeding them properly. The healthier they look the more they earn."
"Yupp. That makes sense, he is going to put them up in the upcoming auction."
"Just you guys wait, I will make sure to buy the blonde one."
"Shut up! You Idiot you think you can afford a slave who looks as beautiful as a princess."
"If only they were in a royal attire, I bet they will be above all the princesses in terms of beauty."
"Haaah... how frustating, that bastard gets to enjoy the company of such beauty."
Hearing their words William examined them all, picking his sword he stood up facing Artha.
Her expression unchanged, she decided to accept her fate.
Morad scared fell on his knees, "please sir, show mercy, it's indeed her fault, but still please forgive her." Tears amplified his plea, as he joined his hands, weeping at William's feet.
The Imperia has set some rules regarding the use of slaves, one of those rules is,
If some one kills or harms someone else's slave then all he has to do is pay the compensation. A rule that sets the value of the slaves breaths.
Natalie concerned, hurriedly approached Morad, helping him stand back, "Sir Morad, it's fine. Master has no plans of harming you or Artha."
Not believing her words, he looked towards William. Witnessing that he has is now facing towards the group of men who were whispering.
His eyes filled with rage and coldness as he unseathed his sword, " the three gold coins, will they be enough for new furniture."
[Hey you Idiot, what are you thinking. Don't do it, it will only bring more trouble.]
"Let's leave!" A tall white man with a heavy build stood up at the other side, his face hidden behind bluish hat.
Two small daggers attached with a chain hanging at his waist. Smiling he walked off to the exit door,
"cash is on the table." His harsh and bold voice echoed in the silence of hall.
Half of the men in the hall walked out behind him, glaring at William, with threatening gaze.
Seathing his sword, William sat back at his chair, with frustated eyes, "fine just take whatever is necessary and atleast give me something to drink."
Morad standing up thanked him by bowing multiple times.
Artha still on her knees with her eyes lowered to ground, "and don't make me say it again, but she has done nothing wrong."
Natalie smiling helped Artha stand back, tears kept at her eyelashes rushed out as she hugged Natalie.
Smiling and comforting her, "no. No.. everything's fine."
Scared and hesitantly Morad took a step a forward, "but sir, there is a problem, we don't have even a single room empty."
Lily bored, looked at Morad.
Artha wiping her own tears interrupted, "we can prepare one room. If it is alright."
Morad confused, "but we don't have an empty room."
Pondering, "I don't live in my room, so I can give that to sir, if it's alright."
Red in shyness, Natalie murmured, "in a single room."
With a blank expression, "It's alright."
Artha smilingly bowed and walked towards the Kitchen.
Morad confused, 'what an amusing young man.'
"We Will make sure, sir doesn't have to wait for long." Bowing in respect, Morad also left for the Kitchen.
