After all the events that happened in work, I found myself tired
From the drama of this this till the bullying of that if they idiot, I was a little fed with things at that point
It was even noon yet and I already felt like I should call it quites and I coreven use my phone to pass time cuz we started to revive come customers as well as commissions
The boss was already upset they we were slacking off, you could've even blame us there was nothing to do—and yet he still.
Well none of us got breaks and we've been working nonstop stop since commissions came in
'This is the worst' I thought deeply as I watched the smelly fatso stationed beside me.
He was short and had a mean attitude if it wasn't for the age difference and our positions in work I would've slapped him long ago
This Bola or Bami— whatever he called himself would always try to flirt with me, and whenever I want let him have he would then proceed to annoy me in the worst ways, only to make another sad attempt the following day
"Maybe I should just call it quites" I mumbled to myself
"What was that Anita" a voice called out to me
"Ahh- it's nothing" I replied, it's not like this people care or anything, they would always give me all the minor works like cleaning and sorting as well as comfirming deliveries
At first it was bearable, but we have a lot of people who are free most of the time but they still wait until I'm free with whatever I was talked with or till I come before assigning the task to me
======
"Yawn~" Bola yawned as we were done with the current batch of work, it was time for the next switch
Most of the work could be done by a single person, but for efficiency and neat outcomes we worked in pairs of two they switched in intervals haveing a twenty till forty minutes breaks depending on the amount of load we were working with.
"Anita I heard you live close to the area.." a coworker called out to me
"Uhm… it's not exactly close but…" I wasn't sure how I should answer, someone could have seen me in the area and spread the word
Who knows the person asking could've been the one who saw me
He was wearing a light green coat and ripped grand that bagged at his ankles wearing an off-black slipper
He had a warm smile and a buzz cut —low cut— he was wearing glasses so I couple really tell his expression other than that
"My aunt lives around the area so I only stay during weekdays since she out for work" I hesitantly stuttered after a moment of silence
"Oh …" he was surprised "my friend around xx street said he saw you there, I wasn't sure from his description but it could've only been you so I asked"
'I don't need an explanation..but sure..' was what I thought wt the moment
After they brief the exchange we spoke for a short while, apparently they e were the only ones the same age
But he started here when he was very young so he's trusted with more complicated jobs compared to mine and is usually stationed in the second floor or deep on the top floor
He was quite friendly, although skating seemed odd about his approach but he seems okay from a different angle
We mostly spoke about how stressful the job was and his first experience as a junior also—guess I don't have it that hard—
We spoke for a few more minutes before a gross voice interrupted "hey don't you think we should get back to work" of course it was Bola or what's his name
"No we still have about… eight more minutes"
"That was nine minutes ago.. are you saying I don't how to read the clock" was what he said tilting his head towards me like some jack in a box
I couldn't resist the urge to push his face away making Logan—was his name— chuckle slightly
"Well I best be going" Logan left to resume his break in another area
Kelvin—BoLu— and I got into a small argument before our senior colleagues intervened and punished us with a heavier work load
I feel like they're were looking for an excuse to reduce the amount of work they had to do, and when Boss came to supervise he just yelled at us for being to slow
'Today is not my day at all'
After a very eventful yet stressful and turning day we finally finished all our duties and were allowed to clock out early
The time was only a little past three, to my surprised we were still allowed to clock out early
'Perhaps Boss made it big with this one, and tomoreo is weekend but when has that ever mattered'
But I want going to dwell on it and left work as well since it was a Friday I didn't have to be first on Monday
Unlike the full time workers I only have to be available on weekdays, with emergencies being the exception
'Unfortunately the know I live close by since I was tasked what th the key… only within walking didstance are tasked with the key'
The Boss' house isn't in the area so in the case of an important client visiting he can have his nearest worker stall for time or attend to them depending on their credibility
'Guess I'll head home then…they don't seem to be online' I kept my phone back in pockets as I made my home
'Since there's a chance he'll be angry with me I better check in him, he can't have his only friend avoiding him that would be sad'
"And then I came home and met you"
