Chapter 3 - 02:To Dream part 2

"As long as there are no interruptions I'll be there and back in due time" Deji muttered as he speed walked away from his house

The people don't usually clear a path just because your carrying something big ,unless it can harm them.

Deji walked a long one as he had to slow down at the road crossings, his main goal was to avoid the enclosed areas where people who could pass as holigans and thugs, were known to catch their prey there.

'Let's avoid that path for now even though it's the shortest'Deji thought as he looked into the dark alley. The most important thing right now wasn't getting there on time but getting there in one piece and back.

Sooner than later, Deji arrived in front of a two story building ,heavy machine noise could be heard from outside this was a monogram office and salon in one building and as for the ground floor at the bottom was the sales district.

Not only did he have to walk a good 17mjns in the hot Sun ranging at 78~83 degrees(F) he now had to walk up to the top floor, while the stairs were not really much as the building itself wasn't that tall .

He had already been tired from the long walk so the steps infont of him felt like mountain as the was little ventilation around the stair case ,

After a minute of struggle he manage to reach the monogram office at the top floor

"Ah finally..." Deji sighed as he droppped the sac bag into the ground.

The walls of the room are painted with a creamish yellow color, and there are multiple 4 face monogram machines*, as well as heat transfer being operated

"Deji my boy , how you been" a man wearing a multi colored red-green-yellow Native shirt with balck trousers, his dreads have a fire red dye at the edges and he wore a brown glasses with three silver rings in his hands.

'Is he a gang leader what is this fashion trend' Deji thought as he saw his family friend and godfather walk towards him "I've been better sir.."

"That's good to hear, is this all of them ?" Mr Jide gestured —the owner of this business—

He clapped his hands and called for his workers to count the merchandise with Deji .

A girl on purple dreads walked toward Deji to help him with the counting , she was a dark skinned beauty with oddly cyan eyes, walking elegantly with wearing a ripped pencil gen and green layered jacket.

Without delay she and Deji got to work and began organizing the clothes as they both counted it.

Thirty shirts

Twelve shorts

Eighteen skirts

These were the clothes Mr Jide had orders for , he and Deji spoke a little about the price and when the next would be ready.

Deji's mum was the main supplier of [Jide Wears] as due to their family ties Jide could get them cheaper than anywhere else .

"Now that we are done with that… I have something to show you sir " Deji brought out a folded piece of paper from his pocket "What do you think about the design sir?"

"Ho~" Jide let out a light smirk "this is good …did you do this yourself kiddo" Jide looked at Deji who was indifferent, the key to this business is to win your sellers through flattery and lead the conversation a certain way, in hopes of getting a good discount .

Of course this only works when the item up for sale has no definite or fixed market value ,

"You want to sell me the design ?" Jide spoke as he leaned in and looked at the bit through the upper part of his glasses "hmm"

'Is he trying to intimidate me?' A thought crossed Deji's mind the only reason he had thought to show his Uncle as because of their ties

"Yes sir , I would like to sell the designs. I heard you need some customs design to start your own branding line " Deji said with a firm voice

He was no longer talking to his godfather but to his buyer….if only it was that easy..,

"It's true but I can't make use of any of this you know .. if you needed pocket money you could've just asked " Jide belittle Deji

"But since it's from you I'll accept it at a reasonable price why do you say ?"

This wasn't a deal but an offer Deji couldn't refuse as he would lose a potential buyer ,after all the first the customer is usually the best one

"2000 per design I heard that's the standard.."Deji demanded as he took his work from his Uncles hand

"I can't pay 2000 for this, how about I give you 700 for each instead just for your sake " Jide bargined

In that sheet there were 5 individual designs of similar contents , all wild cats faces such as Lion, Tiger ,Cheatwr, a Beaver and a squirrel faces, all with a large text that says Jide clothes

"There are five drawings and if I seek one at 700 that would only bring me a sum total of …." Deji calculated his income "Fine… I'll take it " Deji sighed

Deji was hoping to make 5000 Naria from this exchange but there isn't much he can do when it comes to his Uncle, Mr Jide, He only made abiut half an fbhus expected gain. But beggars can't be choosers and he had to make due with this.

While it wasn't a huge sum it was enough for him to purchase some of the art supplies needed for a project he had been secretly working on. His parents didn't believe in art most especially Deji's own they thought it was some of cult- of course they did, Deji's speciality is animals and the one he like to draw were snakes and birds any and all kinds.

After the exchange of as complete Deji's work was done and he left the store, but as he was leaving the building Mr Jide threw his drawings into the bin

"I hate charity work, but it would be good if I can get him to work under me" Mr Jide thought that if Deji was to learn under him he could control the type of things Deji designed and he could get lost of them for free. Even though Deji's work wasn't usable, the quality was not something to joke about.

Deji's was walking along the streets on his way back home he stopped a bike thet was passing by and took it to his home….
