Nena leaped into the air. There wasn't much else she could do; being slow meant she couldn't guarantee the safety of the apostle and the two others with her. However, falling from such a height while carrying ordinary people would be a death sentence for them. To slow their descent, she skillfully used the golden cloth, latching onto nearby surfaces to reduce their speed as they fell.
The descent was long and grueling, and eventually, Nena encountered a serious problem. Below her, the clouds swirled violently, spiraling back into the mountain. If they passed through, they would almost certainly be swept away by the raging storm below.
She glanced back toward the path she had taken, checking for any signs of pursuit. To her surprise, she spotted a lone figure plummeting freely through the sky above, falling straight toward her.
"Hold on tight!"
