Chapter 3 - Chapter 3.

"Ivy, aren't you going to stop talking?I need my peace, please." Mel barked at Ivy who didn't stop talking about Kelvin."Sure, after our dinner night together.""What dinner night? What do you mean 'our'?"Ivy stood up closer to Mel and said, "Mel, I know how hard it must have been for you, but Kelvin is just trying to be friends. Why not give him a chance?"Mel looked at her, stood up beside her, and went out of the house. Her eyes became blurry, she felt her feet sore, and her head was blowing off slowly. Ivy ran after her as she went outside to talk to her, but in her arms she did. She dropped, looking lifeless, as it seemed death was calling to her. Her breath seized, and Ivy had to scream for help when Kelvin showed up. In a minute, they rushed her to the hospital with fear in Ivy's eyes. Her heart beat so fast that she held Kelvin and sobbed."What happened? Kelvin asked in curiosity, "I don't know; she just dropped in my arms." She said it with her eyes filled with tears.

"Help me. Please, help me. Somebody save me." Mel screamed as she ran through the woods, her breath coming so fast and her feet swift past the trees with the thoughts of someone showing up for her."Please don't leave me. I'll die." Her voice echoed through the walls of the building as she screamed, "Don't go!" The nurses ran in to see what was going on with her and helped her relax from the nightmare she was having. "She'll be fine." They said to them: "Her mind's being disturbed, and she can't control it; that's why she fainted. She'll be okay."

Kelvin and Ivy kept the hold until Mel was discharged. They expected a fast recovery and took her home. Mel lay consciously on her bed, gazing into the thin air of the silent room furnished with sofas and baby dolls. She remembered her mother's scream before she died. Kelvin entered the room with flowers and snacks. She saw Kelvin come in, got down from the bed, and hugged him. Kelvin's eyes widened as he was surprised that her hug was so tight and from the person who didn't want to see him a few hours ago. "I thought you wouldn't come for me." Her voice was faintly declaring her joy.

Ivy walked in after a few minutes, looking so tired and drained, and met Mel in Kelvin's arm, who immediately told her to keep it low and not to wake her up. " She fell asleep, feeling deeply grateful. He said he was smiling at Ivy. "I'll take care of her from here. Thank you, Kelvin." She landed a kiss on his cheek. Kelvin smiled at the progress he was making. Ivy turned to see Mel, half awake. "Hey girl, how are you feeling?" Ivy said, tapping her head."Well, never been better. Thank you, Ivy.""You are really feeling grateful, uh? You should rest more. We've got school tomorrow.""Omg, can't believe this weekend is gone.""Yeah, gone too soon." They both laughed."You missed out on all the fun, though."

"I know, right?"

-----------It was a bright, sunny day. The wind blew stealthily and was comforting; every hand got working. The town's peace was without rumbles. Amidst the perfect atmosphere, Ivy's phone rang out loud, jerking her up from her sleep. Her swollen eyes told her she slept so well. She looked at her terrifying face in the mirror. Her phone kept ringing so loudly, and she picked it up without knowing who was on the call with her. "Hey, Ivy." Her tired voice spoke for her. "Hey""You showing up today? It's like 9 a.m. already." Ivy's ears widened as she heard that. I went roughly around the house with Mel hanging on the phone. "Ivy, are you there? Ivy?" With no response, she cut off the call.

"You should be grateful. I called. You were about to miss this. It's our last two months in school. Ivy. I'm so excited.""Yeah, I'm excited too." She said she was looking through the crowd, searching and wondering. Ivy saw the look on her face and turned her head in the north direction, where she had missed checking. "Phew. I've been looking for you everywhere.""Hi, Mel.""Hi, Kelvin.""So, what's everyone doing? What was I about to miss?""It's the last two months of our stay in school, everyone's preparing for the big day," Mel jumped round the spot they were standing."I didn't know you are so much fun, Mel""You've got me, Kelvin." Just shut up." Ivy watched them laugh and play. She could hear something speak to her. "He's yours; claim him."

"Alright, alright, you guys stop with the fond and let's get to business.Umm,, Kelvin, you don't mind giving the girl's some privacy?""I'll leave you guys to each other. See you guys after school.""Hey Kelvin, dinner after school? All of us." Mel said smiling."Yeah, right. That sounds awesome.""Dinner, really?""You said to get to know each other better, right?""Yeah, that's alright.""So, you want to talk about dinner first? Final preparation can wait.""Alright, sure. No problem."

They ended up going back to class to clear up and prepare for the night. Ivy and Mel walked back home together, thinking of things they'd like to surface. The position the house was in when they stepped in gave them a shock. Mel looked at Ivy and laughed out loud."You really slept well to destroy the house; now we've got more stuff to do thanks to you."

The paintings on the wall were replaced,
