Chapter 9 - Chapter 8 : Magic from the blue

"Why are you in such a hurry? Didn't you see my leg hurts?" Jeane complained as she shuffled a bit to catch Lucas who was already in his car.

"Sorry, Jeane. I'm not going to campus today. I have to get to the museum immediately to make observations. I can't be late or my lecturer will scold me," Lucas explained from inside the car.

"Then what about me? Can't you drop me off first and then go to the museum?" Jeane protested.

"Ah, there's no time. Not in the same direction. I've contacted Dave. He'll be here, you can come with him later. Don't worry."

Too selfish. Jeane wanted to protest again but after hearing Dave's name, she immediately fell silent. Ah, is it true that Dave will pick her up? That means she has time together. A faint smile crept in. She didn't know why her heart suddenly felt happy knowing that. Frankly, she was still wondering, did she really like Dave at first sight? The man was truly interesting, both in appearance and in existence.

Lucas just started the car after not getting any scolding from his sister. Jeane exhaled a long breath then sat down on a chair on the terrace of the house, waiting for Dave. Just watch out if Lucas is lying, Jeane will not forgive him!

After that, Caiden and Grandma suddenly came out. Both of them were seen carrying gardening tools and several fruit baskets.

"Why haven't you left yet?" Caiden asked after seeing Jeane still on the terrace.

"Lucas left me. He told his friend to come," answered Jeane with a sullen face.

"Oh, okay. Then Grandma and I will go to the garden first to harvest apples. I will lock the door to the house."

"Yes, Dad."

Then the two of them left in an old pickup truck, leaving Jeane alone in a very quiet atmosphere.

If Jeane could be honest, the situation would be quite scary being alone in this house. Even though it looks calm, the location around the house is still filled with pine trees whose leaves are quite dense in spring. The neighboring houses are also far apart so it would be very suspicious if there was movement from inside the forest. Jeane had to stay alert.

While waiting and getting rid of anxiety, the girl chose to open the cell phone. Playing some apps to keep her mind busy. A few moments later, when her mind was starting to get carried away with social media, she suddenly heard someone coming. Jeane suddenly turned her attention and found a man in front of her house. She then stood up.

"You?" Of course she was very surprised, because it was that man who came again.

Her memory was still very fresh regarding yesterday's incident where Jeane was almost raped and saved by an imitation creature named Damian Redix. Yeah, that man now appeared again.

"What do you want?" Jeane asked carefully as Damian got closer.

As soon as the man stepped on the steps of her terrace, Jeane took a step back. An unreadable gaze makes anxiety arise again. The flat expression, the intimidating glare and the terrifying presence made the girl's alertness increase. Jeane had even clenched her fists in case something happened.

"Jeane Nuella," muttered Damian as his steps stopped when the distance between him and Jeane had been greatly reduced.

"Go away from here." Fear prompted Jeane to raise her voice. Really, Damian was as scary as yesterday's jerk who wanted to harass her.

However, instead of leaving, Damian kept his attention on Jeane for a long time. The man lowered his head to bring his face closer, fixing his blue gaze even more so that the violet couldn't move. From yesterday's incident, Damian knew Jeane's weakness.

"You're mine."

The same voice as yesterday came back to caress her ears. Jeane fell asleep. She couldn't avoid the link of this beautiful oceanic bead before her. Now, violet and blue seem to merge and form a spiral that can hypnotize the mind.

The girl didn't move at all, even the cell phone she was holding just fell. It seemed that Jeane's consciousness was starting to wane. Damian then raised his hand, touched the side of Jeane's face and traced her beautiful curves without looking away for a second.

"Our destiny is to be together." Damian continued to speak without changing his tone, which further plunged the girl's consciousness.

The man brought his face closer to be able to connect his lips with Jeane's lips for a moment before the girl finally lost consciousness and collapsed onto his chest. Let's say it's like a hypnosis move, he uses a little magic to be able to take Jeane without having to use violence.

Without further ado, Damian carried his sweetheart. Lips curved faintly, forming a happy smile that was seen again for the first time after 20 years of absence. After that, he hurriedly took Jeane into the forest... to his world.

For quite a while, Dave had just arrived at the Nuella family's house. He found it very quiet. After getting out of the car, the man walked towards the front door and rang the doorbell. Several times but Jeane was still not there. Dave then contacted Lucas.

"Where's your sister?"

"She was waiting on the terrace," Lucas answered, his voice in the middle of people's chatter.

"There's no one in your house."

"Maybe go to the bathroom first, just wait."

Dave chuckled after Lucas hung up the phone. He was about to sit down to wait, but his attention suddenly saw a cell phone lying on the floor. He frowned for a moment before finally picking up the object.

The man didn't think that the cellphone belonged to Jeane before the cellphone screen finally turned on and displayed Jeane's photo as wallpaper. Immediately Dave looked around the yard and rang the doorbell again.

"Jeane, are you in there?" The bell wasn't enough, he then tried to open the door and found it was locked.

"Has she left yet?" his monologue wondered.

It's possible that Jeane has already left. Who knows, the girl might get impatient and choose to call another friend. Coincidentally, Dave woke up late today, so it took him a long time to get to Jeane's house. Dave didn't think anything different. And maybe because you were in a hurry, this cellphone accidentally fell. He decided to take the cellphone with him and would return it to Jeane when he was on campus.

However, when he was about to open the car door, suddenly he smelled a strange aroma which made his movements stop immediately. Dave frowned, trying to recognize the smell he was smelling.

"Wolf... scent." He walked following the smell which led into the pine forest next to the yard. Step stopped for a moment to observe the forest which was quite dark while continuing to sniff.

"Not an ordinary wolf but... a werewolf." Dave thought again. It was possible that what he thought earlier could be true. Jeane might have left first. But after smelling this smell, he felt anxious. Werewolves weren't often seen, but Dave believed they existed so this smell definitely wasn't wrong. He put Jeane's cellphone in his pocket and then went into the forest following the smell.

Dave walked through the pine forest for tens of meters until he met a dense forest filled with cold mist. He didn't give up and continued to follow his increasingly sensitive sense of smell to sniff out the smell. Until finally several large black wolves suddenly blocked his journey.

"Oh, shit, seriously," he cursed softly.

There are quite a few of them, showing off sharp fangs covered in smelly saliva and a yellow gaze that suggests hunger. Very scary, but Dave wasn't afraid. He let out a rough breath and began to take action to attack.

"This is an emergency. I can't die here," he said then ran towards the creatures with his body which suddenly turned into a large silver wolf.

He growled loudly as he lunged at the group of creatures. Then a fierce fight broke out between one group and another.

It turned out to be very surprising. People close to Dave will definitely be shocked to learn that the man is not human.
