"My magic was canceled?... Why?"
Erina muttered with a confused face before hearing Akasha moans of pain.
Erina recalled that Akasha was in a serious situation right now. Erina hurriedly searched for a book in her study.
"If I remember correctly, the way to treat people with fever is..."
Erina looked for a book on how to treat people with fever that her friend had given her. Erina put the book on an unimportant shelf because Rrina never thought her healing magic would fail.
Erina frantically followed the book instructions, although sloppy but Erina did her best to help Akasha.
After a few hours of caring for Akasha, Erina was currently sitting on a chair near the bed.
Erina looked at Akasha who was sleeping with steady breathing and improved body condition.
But Erina was a little puzzled by the speed of Akasha's wound regeneration.
"Thank goodness his condition is improving...Ahem! As expected of me."
Even so Erina was very happy that Akasha condition was improving. Erina sat beside Akasha in case Akasha condition worsened again.
After a few minutes of watching, Erina was reminded of her magic being destroyed by something.
To Erina, that phenomenon was impossible to forget, so she began to make many speculations in her mind.
(That phenomenon, similar to anti-magic but with an absolute effect. My magic only touched his body but was immediately destroyed as if something rejected my magic. Something more absolute than Anti-magic...)
Erina recalled her encounter with Akasha during the snowstorm, Erina's intuition as a long-lived mage, no, maybe it wasn't mage intuition but creature intuition at that time Erina felt Akasha was dangerous which made Erina afraid.
(Moreover, that thing seems to have no concept of volume, as if it can destroy any magic.)
Erina continued analyzing while writing in a small book about Akasha abilities.
Time passed quickly and the day would soon become night.
In the room, only the sound of Erina writing rapidly could be heard, until a groan emerged from the bed and broke Erina concentration.
"Ugh..."
Akasha eyes opened slowly, Akasha looked around.
(Where is this? I should be in the forest right now.)
"You're awake. Don't you feel any pain?"
Erina voice surprised Akasha a little, Akasha looked at Erina, the person who made his suffer a lot and the center of Akasha upset emotions.
Even so Akasha immediately calmed herself down and asked Erina something more important.
"Master, how was the test?"
Akasha asked with her usual expressionless face but this time Akasha tone sounded a little small. Akasha wasn't sure but Akasha remembered that if she fainted on the 3rd day that meant it was far from the target promised with Erina.
"..."
Erina did not answer Akasha question and remained silent. Erina was a little angry at Akasha because the first thing she asked after waking up was what happened to her test not what happened to her as if her body was not important.
In this world, death is normal and even the dead wouldn't care at this point. Even so life is something precious and irreplaceable even for great people it will end when they die.
Hence Erina disliked how Akasha seemed to not care about her body.
(If one dies, how can one realize their dreams.)
Erina thought while looking at Akasha who was getting more and more similar to her master even in that aspect.
Even so, Erina had to admit that Akasha strong will managed to move Erina. So Erina had decided what she would do.
"Before that, I'll ask again, do you still want to become a Mage Of Justice?"
Rather than answering Akasha previous question, Erina asked about Akasha want.
"...Yes!"
Akasha was a little confused by the sudden question but immediately answered with a voice mixed with a bit of emotional fervor.
"The path of the Mage Of Justice is a difficult one, without sufficient ability, without sufficient intelligence, without sufficient strong will, you cannot become a Mage Of Justice, you cannot even become a Mage. This path you choose will be harder than the previous tests and when that happens, there may not be anyone to help you like now."
Erina began to explain about what would await Akasha in the future while traveling the path of the Mage Of Justice, a path that Master Erina had once traveled.
A path that Erina knew more than any other in her entire life.
(Plus looking at his previous powers, Akasha is well suited to be a Mage Hunter rather than a Mage. Which means he is more suited to be a Knight than a Mage.)
"Even so, are you really ready to endure all that?"
"..."
Akasah recalled that during the previous test, he experienced many new things and new experiences that were very abundant.
Of course almost all of them were bad experiences even so Akasha gained a lot of useful experience from such times.
For Akasha before, the difficulty she faced back then was a test of whether she was worthy of becoming a Mage Of Justice. But now Akasha, although a little, began to understand the purpose of her master giving this test to her.
Even so, Akasha did not want to give up on her dream, and she would do her best to realize it, even if she had to endure many hardships later.
"...I will still desire to become a Mage Of Justice. Even if I fail now, I will definitely return to make the master recognize me."
Akasha answered Erina question with a strong look. Akasha thought that he failed this time but that didn't mean she would give up.
Erina looked at Akasha eyes that were filled with life energy.
(Hehe, it seems I'm lose to that determination and spirit, master.)
"I see, then the answer to the test results is clear now."
Akasha prepared for the next words to come out of Erina's mouth.
(... Did I fail?)
Akasha thought but the desire to pass was still strong. Erina said....
"...Pass."
Holo was surprised by Erina words. Akasha thought that he failed and prepared to accept it but surprisingly she passed the test.
"Didn't I fail to survive for a week?"
"Yes, you failed. But I changed my mind, I will train you seriously now as a disciple of The Little Witch."
"...!"
Emotions of pleasure began to unfold and flow throughout Akasha's mind at this moment.
"But! I will look at your talent, if I judge that you cannot become a witch, I will stop pursuing and you will have to choose another path. Understood?"
"Yes!"
