The expedition group came out of the Chief house with their mouths still open, anyone could see how surprised they were.
After the revelation of Saor and its incredible display of intelligence they didn't know what to think anymore, he even asked for them to go out of there so that he could talk privately with the Chief.
The strangest thing is that the Chief consented this, making even the many guards inside the hall go out.
Now returning to the hall the Chief and Saor exchanged interested glances, while Saor felt familiarity with him comparing his body with that of Coatl, the Chief was interested in the strenght of Saor, since his birth on that land he has always been the strongest, weaker only than Magma, but now, he felt the blood in his veins boiling with excitement, just Saor's aura made him have shivers for the first time in his life.
But this didn't made him feel fear, rather it made him wanting to fight Saor more and more.
Before Saor could start speaking the Chief said "Anything, I will give you anything, but first, for this to happen you need to fight me, come at me with everything you have, we can fight right no-" as he was finishing the sentence a punch arrived into his face, his nose broke and orange and hit blood began to spill.
Saor instantly retreated waiting the Chief attack, seconds passed, the seconds became minutes and before they could become hours Saor became impatient, so he started walking up to the Chief expecting an attack at any time, but it didn't came.
He was unconscious, Saor's face took a bored expression, all that expectations for nothing, one thing Saor didn't understand was that even if the Guardians of Magma were some of the strongest species of that world the Eternals were still in another league, too strong and probably only rivalled by the Titans.
Seeing that he didn't accidentally killed him he waited for the chief to come back to conscious .
After almost an hour the Chief slowly woke up, still confused his gaze lingered around the room, fixing itself onto Saor.
"W-what happened ?" asked the Chief with a confused face.
"You lost" said Saor with a sad smile "you're lucky, if the one fighting you was one of my friends your head would already be smashed into the wall" the last part of his sentence made him remember the face of Coatl, only for it to disappeared in a blink of an eye.
For the first time in his life the great Chief of the Guardians of Magma felt fear, his back wet with sweat.
After taking a long sigh he said "Seeing how the battle went I don't think that even my entire clan could win against you, now tell me, what do you want ?".
Saor with a smirk on his face answered "I want to live here, to study your clan and to see your traditions".
The Chief looked quite happy with this request and exclaimed right away his approbation offering even her daughter hand as a gift, needless to say that Saor rejected that.
After coming out of the hall together with the Chief, he decided to present Saor to all the rest of the clan, proclaiming him as an official member of their clan.
What followed after was a cozy life in the volcano, he got a room at the tip of it and he lived a fairly easy life helping the Guardians farming, they got a strange red and black plant that could easily grow into the terrain near the volcano and that even gave big red delicious berries, with a strong spicy aftertaste, sometimes he even had to fight against the Chief, under his endless pleas.
Time flew fast and after a few years he became a respected member of the clan, known for his vast knowledge and many stories.
He liked staying there, but in his hearth he knew that he needed to depart sooner or later in order to maintain his promise with Micah.
And the day of the departure was drawing near.
