The slightly open drapes allowed just enough of the sun's morning light into Lily's hotel room. Against her will, her eyes picked up the brightness. It communicated that to the rest of her body, causing her to toss and turn for a few minutes. Her fight against the urge to open her eyes proved abortive when they began to flutter.
Shortly after, she threw in the towel. She gave in, letting her eyelids stretch on their ends to welcome in the light. She allowed them some time to adjust, blinking a few times as they did so. In no time, the images of the environment came into her view. As clearly as ever.
