Bellatrix Lastrade weighed her options if her last plan to be freed of her family didn't work. She sat naked in the middle of circle that their pack witch Cloe prepared with her ancient wand at the ground elements she had bought on her quest to prepare the fire circle of destiny. The entire waited silently tonight outside standing under an aqua full moon.
Alpha Bran Lastrade stood with his two betas and mates and male children and heirs. If this didn't work Bellatrix would be turned over to the dark lord to fight in his army against the king of the magi Nick Cole and his deadly agents of the night. There was also one particular agent of death that worked for Nick Cole. The Raven.
The Raven came into power three years ago. A young dominant wizard with advanced powers that took out entire pack that was charged with turning a small tribe of wizards into were-wolves. In a single night he fought the beasts with knives fire and magic the likes of no were-creature or wizard had seen before.
One battle followed another. One bloody victory after the next. He called down the forces of nature at his command and laid to waste armies in his wake and took to flight in the form of the raven.
The caw of the raven became the bad omen that death was coming to the forces of the dark lord, his agents and were-creature kind. Little was known about him other then he was a dark hair wizard warrior who wielded knives and a weapon lightning storms and fire balls. He was a mystery otherwise.
The dark lord knew of him and had once sent many assassins against him to hunt him down only to be met with bodies to pill up or at worse drawing his attention back to the dark lords and his agents and striking at them with a violent vengeance. He always left a message behind craved on the residence of the houses of his hunters or enemies.
Leave me the hell alone!
At last the hunts had been halted by the dark lord bring a ease to the dark lords private forces. That's when it happened to Bellatrix. She realized it last year. She hadn't been stupid enough to speak it to her pack or anyone but she knew everyone quietly but not spoken. They could not win
Bellatrix's naked body shook in fear at the thought of even facing that killer. She couldn't don't it. She wasn't a warrior enough to face the Raven in field of battle. She had to find her mate. Her way out of the war was settled getting more violent dangerous as the Raven was seen hunting the were-creatures and dark wizards down.
The orange and white flames was up suddenly. A buzz of excitement was a buzz in the atmosphere at last. Finally after three years of failed attempts the enchantment had worked finally. It was going to send her to her fated lover.
Bellatrix's heart started beating against her chest as felt certain this was it. The pursuer had been weighing on her heavily for this moment. Last years attempts had been truly horrible. After eight failed attempts and a year wasted attempting to learn to fight in the army had failed it was working.
The witch feed the words with her spell engineered to be adjusted and corrected as the flames would die down. She had modified it to just for failure and work to her advantage.
Cloe stopped suddenly looking at Bellatrix and smiled. Bellatrix nodded her thanks to Cloe. "Thank you Ah Ma." She whispered.
"Be well child and do well by your mate when you find him. He will be a strong mate and worthy to carry on our bloodline. Make strong cubs." She said and blew a kiss her before she held out her to the flames.
Bellatrix looked up to the moon feeling the energy of the mother moon. "Mother Luna. Help me to do well by my mate." She prayed.
A second later she felt herself launched upward and away racing through the sky she felt her body being twisted and pulled at once in two directions and then she closed her eyes losing consciousness.
"Wake up sweaty!" A male voice commanded her gentle.
Bellatrix smiled at the sound of his voice it was strong. Not alpha dominant and filled with strength and power. She breathed in his scent and frowned. No. This was her mate. But her mate was close.
Something was pushed against her forehead. She opened her eyes and froze in fear. A man with the eyes of raven and scent mixed with different elements greeted her nose.
He smiled at her with a kind charming expression that was odd compared with scent of violence around him and power in him. "I was wondering when you would show up." He said kindly.
"Who is she?" another male voice asked.
Bellatrix heart skipped a beat as she inhaled and she could taste him on her tongue now. Her eyes went to him. Their eyes connected and time stood still. She felt something locking in and everything else disappearing away for an instant and then the man with weapon against her head made his presence her main concern as the magical energy around him shifted.
She felt the change around. It was like he was a dominant were-creature that had just shifted into another form exposing the other side of himself that was violence and pure raw power before a lesser being. She felt her power beast inside her bow quickly to were-creature that had the mask of wizard.
"So Bellatrix Lastrade." The man said coolly. He had dark black raven hair spoke her name like he very much knew her her soul completely almost as sure as he was her mate but he wasn't. No. If the scent of her mate wasn't so near to her she might had mistaken him.
"How do you know my name?" Bellatrix asked softly making sure not to raise her tone above his own in challenge.
The man with the dark eyes smiled at her without a hint of warmth in his eyes or expression on his face. "I've been waiting three years to meet you. Forgive me. I am James Potter. The man behind me is Dago Malfoy. He is your mate I believe." He said.
James Potter?! Bellatrix frowned at the first name. It was a name she couldn't place and very quickly it faded from her memory just like his face. His faces blurry to her at times and forgettable. She had no idea who this man was. Her mate's name though. Malfoy. She knew that name of her favorite author of magical history. Who had the same name. They couldn't be the same man.
There was a high pitched whistle from the hunter who held the strange weapon to her head. "Eyes on me sweaty. I got questions for you and you'll answer those questions or I'll difficult for you." James said.
Bellatrix sighed getting tired of his threat as her anger started to rise. She glared up at him and decided she needed to test how strong this human was. She moved fast getting to her feet only to find herself back against the wall by a strong force stronger then her.
She went to her knees immediately as the strange human dominant that stared at her like dominant. His eyes were dark power now. She lowered her eyes to the floor.
Bellatrix felt his dominance over shadow her as the feel of his power seemed to lower her energy.
"Are you done already. Damn, girl. I thought you were about to do something stupid. I didn't even get to keep you up and throw you into the air. Alright. Back to what I was saying. I've been waiting a while for you to show up. I've been doing some planning and arranging the right place for you stay here." He said.
The back doors to the barn opened and two female witches appeared. The youngest witch a beautiful blond stared at her and then drew out her wand.
Bellatrix blinked as she was dropped to the hard floor in her dark place. She could sense her mate near so he hadn't brought her far. She blinked and realized she was wearing a dress.
"This is going to be your new home for the next couple of weeks." He said.
Bellatrix looked up at him and then froze as she finally got a proper look at the weapon in his hand as he put it back into his holster. She knew that weapon. She knew the holders of it. Two men. One was called the Dragon of the West. The other was his son. The Raven.
"You are the The Raven." Bellatrix said in quiet whimper.
James laughed. "Now that one is a new one. I haven't heard of that name yet. That's interesting. If you mean I've slayed a lot of your people then you would correct. They could have just ran but they stayed around because they wanted the smoke. I was all to willing to give them it and then some my dear my dear. You have problem." He said.
Bellatrix was on her knees bowing to him. "I beg your mercy. I came here to find my life mate. I did not come-" She said.
"-I don't give a shit. I don't care what you came here for I care about what you being here means to me. Your a dangerous monster. Too dangerous to be around my bro and good buddy but I can't stop fate so I got to fix the problem your going to bring." He said.
Bellatrix cried quietly on floor as her body shook with fear. She did not know what was going to happen next. She did not know what was going to become of her life.
"Welcome to hell. I'm going to your trainer. I'm going teach you how to control yourself and your going to learn and if you have a thought in your head a rising fist or claw to any person under my protection. I will burn your ass to dust. Lift your hands." He said.
Bellatrix felt a chill went down her spine as she finally looked at the floor.
"Do you want me to lift your hands for you? You came here for a mate. You can get what you want or I can burn you to ashes right now. What's your choice?" He asked her.
Bellatrix forced herself to lift up her wrists to The Raven. She felt two bracelets attach to her wrists. She looked up see two beautiful twin bracelets that glittered with magical energy and glowed.
"What is this?" Bellatrix asked and then grimaced when she felt collar attached around her neck.
He laughed as she started to snarl in reflect and then a mirror appeared in her hands and she showed her an image of herself.
Bellatrix stared at herself in shock. A diamond studded collar was around her neck. Her jade dressed seemed to glow. "What? Why are you doing this?" She asked in confusion.
He shook his head as the mirror disappeared. "I don't answer questions from you. On your feet. Time to train." He said and then lifted his hand that was bathed in a misty form of magic that made her body glow a few seconds and then he held up his hand and aimed his hand down at the floor and then something rose up from the floor.
Bellatrix stared at the image. She shared at the image that was mirror image of her own body cloned in mist and power. The image took a fighting stance and snarled at Bellatrix in an angry feline voice.
He smiled nodded his head and stepped away waving for Bellatrix to face the image. "Every day you will fight this creature for several hours until you defeat it and then you will rewarded with a few hours to talk with Dago. If you fail to defeat this creature you will not leave this room for that day." He said.
Bellatrix was sweating now and her heart was beating heavily. "If I can defeat this construct what will I-" She said.
"I don't answer your questions. If you've listened to what I said then you have your answer." He said.
Bellatrix launched herself at the construct only to pass through it and then have the construct take her arm and throw her hard onto the floor.
Bellatrix screamed in shocked more at being taken down so easily with such impact. She sprang to her feet and again she tried to slice and claw at the image but her hands moved past the ghost body of the construct. Then she was kicked in the chest hard and landed on the floor gasping out her breath.
"What is this madness? How can I beat a ghost?" Bellatrix said.
The Raven shook his head. "I don't answer questions from you. You will answer my questions. You fight this ghost and you will win against this construct. There can be no other way. So how do you beat a ghost?"
Bellatrix shook her head. "I don't know. I will not play your games. I will not keep me from my mate Raven. I will win against you wizard."
He clapped his hands. "That's the spirit. Now. How do you defeat a ghost? Figure out the answer and you will win every time. Now get up and try again."
