TSK
William clicked his tongue, listening to Sebastian's taunt. He turned his gaze to the trolls who were ready to throw the boulders. 'Maybe I should focus on them.'
'Wind'
Using Wind, he dashed towards the trolls, their towering size casting a long shadow on him. 'My power has increased due to the enlightenment I had in harmony. Allowing the mana in my core to flow more smoothly in my body.'
'Earth'
Using Earth, he stomped his feet on the ground, soaring into the sky, reaching the troll's height.
FWOOSH
But just as he was about to attack, a wind slash in the shape of a crescent moon flew past him, grazing his extended arm.
'Wind'
William hastily used wind to change the position of his arm a little, avoiding its full impact. He landed on the ground and turned to see the source of the attack. His eyes widened in surprise as a great death wolf stared back at him with its menacing eyes.
Behind it were the remaining wolves and orcs. They moved in front of the trolls, shielding them from William.'They have... intelligence?' Lucien questioned himself, bewildered by the monsters using tactics. He turned towards Sebastian with a confused gaze.
Sebastian, understanding William's confusion, muttered, "Monsters from the amateur ranks show the intelligence of a human adult, young master."
William was momentarily surprised to hear this. But still, he nodded his head and turned toward the monsters. 'What should I do? How should I approach them?' William mumbled to himself as he thought about the strategies that would help him in this fight.
"Alright, I will focus on the wolves first." Deciding on the first target, William sent his wind mana to his legs, enhancing his speed.
BOOM
He dashed towards the great death wolf at the front. But as he was coming towards the wolf, the troll behind the monsters threw a boulder at William.
William, expecting this, sent earth mana into his feet and stomped on the ground while running, flying above the boulders' path.
BANG
The boulder hit the place where he would have been. The great death wolf, sensing the incoming William, hurled a wind slash at him.
FWOOSH
Condensed wind in the shape of a crescent moon with razor-sharp edges flew at William at great speed.
William, noticing the oncoming attack, used wind mana to create a bright green wind slash. By applying his knowledge of harmony, he combined it with earth mana to make the slash heavier and more powerful.
FWOOSH
Both attacks clashed, leaving sonic booms in their wake.
BOOM
The wind slashes collided with a shock wave. William's enhanced wind slash shattered the great wolf's attack and continued toward the great death wolf.
SLASH
THUD
The great death wolf was cut in half, spilling guts and blood as it fell. William landed on his feet and charged at the remaining monsters.
Reaching an orc who was grinning from ear to ear. He combined fire and wind mana and threw a wind slash that was covered in fire. But that was all a ruse; William knew that his attack most likely wouldn't work. He conjured ice mana in his left hand and fire mana in his right and slammed both of his hands together.
BOOM
'Wind'
The collision created a thick mist. Using 'Wind,' he fanned the mist to create a thick blanket over the training grounds, covering his presence.
He smiled in accomplishment and dashed towards one of the wolves using wind. The monsters couldn't detect William and had gone into a frenzy. William had targeted the wolves since they could use the wind to clear the mist.
'I have to kill them before they can use the wind,' he thought to himself. He arrived at one of the wolves' backs and swung his hand down; it was imbued with earth mana.
BANG
The wolf got smashed to the ground, its organs spilling everywhere. Its midnight fur soaked in red blood as it slowly lost its life. William didn't stay long to see the wolf die; instead, he went to another wolf that was with an orc.
Just like before, William sent a wind slash, covering it with fire, toward the orc and aimed his hand at the wolf.
'Wind'
He called forth the wind while he curled his fingers, resembling a gun. The wind mana concentrated itself into a sphere in front of his index finger.
The mana sphere revolved around itself faster and faster while shrinking until it was the size of a coin.
BANG
William made a gesture as if shooting with a gun. The mana sphere shot toward the wolf like a bullet piercing its head.
HOWL
The wolves howled in anger as they sensed that two of their comrades were dead.
RAAAWR
The orcs roared as if giving commands. The monsters, scattered by the mist, began to gather together.
'Not so fast,' William muttered to himself. He dashed toward the remaining two wolves. He sent a wind slash covered with fire at one of them to keep it busy. While he focused on the other one.
The wolf, sensing him, hurled toward him using the wind mana on itself. It leapt on him, trying to grab his neck, but William used ice mana to create a thick, long ice shard. Its pointy end at the wolf. He used 'Wind' to speed it up and sent it toward the wolf.
PIERCE
The ice shard pierced the wolf in the heart, killing it instantly. The last wolf used wind to clear the training ground, only to realize that it was the last of its kind.
HOWL
It howled in agony at the death of its comrades and lunged toward William with reckless abandon. William saw that the wolf had gone berserk. He used earth mana on his hands and swung them down on its head, ending its life. The orcs and the trolls, which had regrouped, looked at William with serious gazes.
At first, they thought he was easy prey. But after watching him kill the wolves, which were supposed to be their front, that easily. They had to take him seriously.
GRRR
The orcs growled at him with a grin on their faces, while the trolls looked at him cautiously. A small smile developed on William's face as he noticed the cautious look on the trolls. 'Should I go after the trolls, or should I go after the orcs?' William wondered.
After a brief think, he decided to go after the trolls, since they were the only ones who could attack him from a distance. He dashed toward the nearest orc, trying to bluff them.
RAAAWR
The orcs roared with madness and grinned at William, liking the fact that he had selected them. The one whom William targeted banged his chest as it taunted him. But the moment William reached the orc, "Wind," he sidestepped.
Then, he used wind and earth to stomp the ground. He leapt into the air toward the troll.
'Heat'
'Wind'
Using fire and wind mana, William created an inferno and punched the troll in one of its nostrils.
BOOM
The troll's entire face burned, with fire traveling into its lungs and brain.
ROOAR
The other troll roared as it watched its friend get burned and threw the boulder in its arms toward him. William, using the troll's burnt face as a platform, leapt into the air toward the oncoming boulder.
'Earth'
He used earth as he was about to crash into the boulder and kicked it toward the ground while he jumped even higher.
BOOM
The boulder crashed into one of the orcs, crushing it to death. William, high in the air, used 'Wind', 'Fire', and 'Earth' at the same time and created a spear.
The spear was two meters in length, with its tip red-hot like lava, and the wind formed a vortex at its tail.
"It was a good fight, monster," William muttered as he threw the spear at the troll, using all his strength.
BOOM
The spear lunged at the troll, leaving a trail of light; its speed was boosted by the wind at its tail.
BANG
The spear pierced the troll's head before its head exploded like a watermelon.
BOOM
It traveled past the troll; its power hadn't diminished. It struck the ground like a missile before exploding, releasing all the heat contained in its tip.
BOOOM
The entire training grounds shook as the spear exploded. The spear's "Heat" turned the ground into a raging inferno, engulfing the orcs.
'Wind'
'Earth'
William used wind and earth to create a dome around himself, with the 'Wind' on the outer side and the earth on the inside. 'I didn't think it would be that powerful!' William exclaimed in shock. His amethyst eyes glowed with excitement. 'That wasn't the most powerful attack I could think of.'.
...
Sebastian, who was on top of a building, smiled in satisfaction, "The young master has grown wonderfully," he muttered with pride oozing from his eyes. He waved his hand, and mana poured out from his core. It covered the training grounds and quelled the fire instantly.
The orcs survived the attack, but weren't in a condition to fight either. "Young master, you can come out now." He yelled, assuring William that the fire had been quelled.
William dissolved the dome and peeked his head out to see the training ground.
PHEW
After confirming that the fire had been quelled, he came out of the dome. He looked at Sebastian, who was now standing before him.
His eyes shone with determination while his hands curled into fists; he muttered, "Uncle Sebastian, I want to go to the Marduk Forest."
