When Eiji and Newark came back to the stadium, it was just right after the fourth round's end.
Eiji and Newark waited and watched the matches pass by and then the fifth round started.
Right now there only are 32 participants.
This day would stop at the sixth round, where there would only be 16 participants left.
Then, the first match of the round started.
Eiji and Newark watched the matches silently, observing their future opponents.
After a few matches, Eiji went to fight first and won, then Newark fought just a few matches after Eiji.
Nothing much happened to their fights, Eiji same as always used his speed and mastery of the Quick Draw technique to end the fight in a single attack.
While Newark used his clan's blood sword power to overpower his opponent, nearly burning him to crisps.
After the fifth round, the sixth round came, same as always with Eiji and Newark.
The only thing that is worth mentioning is that, Newark struggle to put his opponent quickly, while Eiji used a normal attack after his opponent ducked and dodged his Quick Draw technique.
While nothing much happened to the two's matches, Herald himself didn't have much trouble either.
The only thing though is that, at the fifth round, he completely broke a few bones in his opponent which garnered a lot of hatred from the crowd as well as the teachers.
Then at the sixth round, he just didn't stop and destroyed his opponent's hands!
For an aspiring and even a full fledge swordsman, this was equivalent to killing their career!
Herald nearly got scot-free, but the teachers and the judges made an exception this time and decided to punish him after the tournament.
They couldn't disqualify him, as he reasoned with them that it was accidental and no one could fault him as he was faster than his opponent and his opponent couldn't dodge him!
Everyone was angry at him and same as always he just shrugged at them and went back to his seat.
Just like that, the day ended.
Tomorrow the seventh round begins, and there are only 16 participants left.
Eiji went to Lime in the hospital after his last matche and didn't know what Herald did to in his last opponent.
Even if he did, he doesn't really know what to do, unless they are matched up, Eiji would just keep silent and watch over Herald silently.
Newark and Renji came back to the room again after the matches and Newark told him about Herald deeds.
Lime was silent while Renji was furious.
The four of them talked for a bit and then Renji went back to his room and Newark went back to his home.
Eiji stayed at Lime's room.
He was just there sitting silently, watching the sleeping Lime.
A few hours after Newark and Renji left, his master came and brought food for them.
After they ate, Eiji told his master that he'll be staying in the hospital with Lime.
Muri nodded, while Lime wanted Eiji to go back to his dorm and get some rest for tomorrow's match.
But Eiji insisted that he stays.
He said that it won't matter much if he's in the hospital room sitting at the chair or laying on the floor, as the bed in his room was just a wooden board with a clothe above it, nothing more.
So Eiji stayed at the hospital room.
A few hours later.
He fell asleep a while ago, but woke up in the middle of the night and just sat in the chair.
Eiji was a kid that managed to do things repeatedly without any complains.
He could swing his sword, the same movements all day and all night and not think about anything.
He might get tired, but if his master told him to do so, he would do it!
For Eiji, watching something silently is even more simple.
So he was just there sitting silently, sometimes looking at the bright moon from the windows then back at Lime.
After a few hours, Eiji fell back asleep, while still sitting in the chair.
End Of Chapter.
