Myles closed his eyes as he prepared himself for his inevitable death. Since there was no way that he could dodge the bullets which were bound to him in one second!!
As he prepared himself for his death something incredible happened. The sound of bullets constantly colliding with metal resounded through his ears, causing him to open his eyes.
What he saw next took him by surprise! Dark Knight was standing in front of him, blocking the bullets with his shiny shield. Hence, saving him from death.
Seeing this the leader of the thieves wield gritted his teeth as he made a realization.
"The reinforcements of the enemy have arrived!! Be on your guard!!" The leader wielding a sword shouted.
The thieves nodded their heads in approval. As for Myles, he ignored their reaction and focused his attention on the dark knight.
Before he even had the time to react, he saw a bullet moving with incredible Kinetic energy hit the hand of the gunner, causing the gun to fall from his hand.
He quickly looked to his right and saw Vincent behind him. Even before had the time to ask anything, Vincent's voice resounded through his ears.
"I will cover you, take out the gunners before those who use melee weapons catch up!!" Vincent shouted, his voice carrying urgency.
"Don't worry about those who wield melee weapons. I will try my best to stall them for as long as possible!!" Dark Knight exclaimed as he charged towards the other two thieves.
Knowing the seriousness of the matter. Myles nodded his head in approval and charged towards the gunners, to claim their lives.
Seeing this, the gunners opened fire, knowing that their lives were in danger. They had received orders to open fire earlier, so they didn't dare to be stinky with their ammunition spending!
He kept charging towards him while dodging as many bullets as he could. As he charged towards the enemy, he diverted his attention towards his friends.
Dark Knight was currently fighting against the two melee weapons users. Was he doing well against them? No! He was practically on the verge of losing but he somehow managed to hold on.
As for Vincent, he was currently charging toward the dead body of the gunner.
Upon reaching the dead body, he quickly looted his body, taking his gun and remaining ammo.
He pointed his old gun and newly claimed gun at the enemies and opened fire. Due to him, open firing at the enemy.
They were forced to move a lot, causing their accuracy to decrease enormously.
If it weren't for him open-firing at them, then a lot of bullets would have glazed past his skin, causing him to lose HP at a rapid speed.
"Thanks a lot, Vincent!!" Myles thanked him as he charged forward.
"Just focus on killing them as quickly as possible!!" Vincent replied.
Myles nodded his head and continued his charge. Due to the help provided by Vincent, it didn't take long for him to get within the range of one of his enemies.
When he got in reach, he channeled mana into his sword, causing a familiar notification to flash in his retina.
(You have used the first moment of the basic sword art, slash)
(Your mana has decreased by 10
Current Available Mana: 9)
Myles practically ignored the notification flashing in his retina. Just as he was about to launch a devastating Slash at him, a loud beeping sound resounded through the entire place.
He turned his attention towards the source of the sound. He saw something that he didn't expect, the guy wielding a mechanical sword had a communication device!!
Moreover, he was talking with someone on it at this very moment!
At the outer edges of the kingdom, only a very few possessed a communication device. It meant that the thieves were anything but simple!!
"I have a bad feeling about this," Myles thought to himself.
It didn't take him long for him to keep the communication device back in his pocket. He only used it for 5 seconds at most before issuing a command that he didn't expect.
"Everyone we have received the orders to retreat!!! Retreat right now!!" The one welding a mechanical sword shouted
Upon hearing this, the enemies nodded, but it was too late for the gunner Myles had targeted.
Though the gunner had gained some distance while Myles' attention was diverted, Myles quickly closed the gap. With a swift, devastating 180-degree slash, he struck his target.
Blood came out from the wound like water coming out from a broken dam. The gunner let out a scream of agony and pain.
"Ahahahahaha!!" The gunner screamed in pain.
The gunner fell to his knees just a few seconds later. However, Myles knew that the gunner would die without any further treatment.
However, he was not done yet, he quickly retracted his sword and stabbed him in the heart. He fell lifelessly to the ground
Notification flashed in his retina but he ignored them like it didn't exist in the first place.
"I need to kill the other gunner before manages to escape," Myles thought to himself
Hence, he diverted his attention towards the other gunners. However, sadly, the gunner had long since traveled a lot of distance alongside the others. He was pondering whether to chase after them or not.
As he pondered what to do, a voice resounded through his ears.
"Leave them, it's not worth chasing after them," Vincent said
Myles wanted to refuse but he didn't since he knew that their main objective was to protect the cargo.
Hence, he reluctantly nodded his head in approval. As Myles nodded his head, he saw a notification flashing on his retina, confirming the death of the gunners.
This time, he didn't choose to ignore it since he had time. He might as well see the notification flashing in his retina.

If he kept leveling up at this pace, it would just be a matter of time before he reached Level 30. Hence, meeting the minimum requirements to try the Grade- S mission.
As he was lost in his thoughts, Vincent's voice resounded through his ear, reminding him that he had better things to do.
"Myles, we need to rush towards the cargo to protect it," Vincent exclaimed, his voice carrying seriousness.
