Upon hearing the NPC's voice, everyone turned their attention towards him as if eagerly waiting for their commands.
"All those who use melee weapons to fight go and scout the roads for any intruder hiding. As for those who wield long-ranged weapons, try to shoot down the enemies on the road if any," Kevin declared, his voice carrying seriousness.
As everyone was about to obey his commands, John voiced out his opinions on this plan, causing the others to stop executing the orders issued by Kevin.
"I don't think this plan will work out," John exclaimed, his voice carrying seriousness.
"Oh, why is that? Why do you think like this?" Kevin asked, his voice carrying curiosity.
"I think you plan to deploy those who wield melee weapons to the ground. However, I don't think it's a good idea to rely on the gunners to Scott out the roof since they are not snipers who can detect everything over long distances while staying in the same position" John replied giving a stare at Vincent and others who wield long ranged weapons
Upon hearing this, a smile crept on Kevin's face as he stared at John.
"We can't send them with melee fighters; they'll be sitting ducks waiting to be slaughtered. Instead, let's have them scout the rooftops and keep moving." Kevin exclaimed, his voice carrying seriousness
Upon hearing this, John fell silent, not knowing what to say. The point raised by Kevin was true and of great importance!!
However, John still chooses to argue with Kevin for a minute or two. As for Myles and the others, they stood still, waiting for the leaders of the team to come to a common conclusion.
After all, the two of them wielded some authority. Hence, they couldn't obey one's command that another was against!!
Their argument lasted for the next three minutes or so before John finally agreed to let them proceed with the plan.
"Due to the valid points you have raised, I will allow you to have your way" John replied.
Even though he didn't necessarily think this plan was foolproof. He knew wasting time might prove very dire for them, hence he approved of the plan.
Kevin turned his attention towards them after receiving John's approval.
"Before heading out, take this," Kevin said while taking out 5 long tubes no more than 5 cm in length.
He handed everyone a single tube. Myles took it out while scanning it from top to bottom. The tube was black in color; it had an opening on the top, a switch at the side, and a lining of glass throughout the tube.
"What are we supposed to use this tube for?" Myles asked, his voice carrying seriousness.
"Point this device at the sky and press the button at the side. This will release a red beam, which will signal to us that enemies are there.
Using it as a weapon is also very possible" Kevin remarked.
Upon hearing this, a curious look formed on his face. He was about to take a closer look at it but ceased to do it when he saw the others leaving to scout out the nearby roads.
"I should leave too," Myles thought to himself.
With that being said, Myles left the side there. He charged towards the nearest road and jumped from the building. Producing a loud thud sound upon landing.
Upon landing, Myles takes a closer look at the surroundings. The road was fairly lit up but it was very narrow. No more than a dozen cm wide.
Aside from this, the road was devoid of anything besides some windows of some buildings.
He began to slowly scout out the entire road. Not daring to miss even a single spot on the road.
A few minutes of searching later, he found some barrels standing in the distance.
"Let's have a look inside the barrel," Myles thought to himself.
He walked towards the barrel and removed every lid of the barrels. He didn't find anything inside the barrels apart from some fruits, which were worthless to him.
"There is nothing here. Let's go search somewhere else" Myles thought to himself.
He continued searching the road until he finally reached a dead end.
"There is anyone here," Myles thought to himself.
He searched every crook and nanny on the road but he didn't find anything which aroused his suspicions
Hence, he decided to retreat and report his findings. He climbed to one of the roofs of the house and charged towards the meeting spot. Due to the boots, his life was made a lot easier.
A few minutes later
Myles spotted Kevin and John standing not too far away from him. Aside from them, he also spotted two players. Seeing this, he knew that he had reached the meeting spot.
Also, the presence of other players assured him that there were no enemies around him.
Nonetheless, he kept charging forward without the intention of stopping. He halted his steps when he was a few cm away from Kevin and John.
Kevin and John stared at him as if probing deep into their soul. Knowing what they want to know, he lets them know.
"I didn't find any enemies" Myles replied, his voice carrying sincerity.
"Give me a report in detail," Kevin demanded.
Myles nodded his head in approval and began to tell them everything he spotted during his scouting session.
As expected they didn't look too interested. They dismissed him just a few minutes later, informing him to wait for the others to report.
He looked around him after creating distance between himself and the NPC. He saw that both Vincent and Dark Knight were yet to arrive.
"They will arrive soon," Myles thought to himself.
He waited patiently for the others to arrive. Thankfully, it only took around 10 minutes for both Vincent and Dark Knight to arrive, signaling that they didn't find any enemies.
However, upon arriving, both Vincent and Dark Knight still reported their finding to the NPC.
Vincent walked towards Myles, standing beside him. However, he didn't talk to him since talking to him might earn the ire of the NPCs.
They stood still patiently waiting for new orders. As for Kevin and John, they were talking to one another, discussing something important.
A few minutes later, Kevin and John quickly passed down new commands to them.
"We will be heading to the 15 km mark right now," Kevin declared, his voice carrying seriousness.
Upon hearing this, everyone nodded their heads in approval. Kevin and John Started to jump from one roof to another in hopes of making it to the 15 km mark as quickly as possible.
The players followed closely behind him. They arrived at the 15 km mark very soon. But they didn't find anything even after scouting out the place.
They didn't find anything even at the 10km and 5 km work!! However, the 1 km mark was not so simple.
As Myles was scouting out the roads of the 1 km mark, he saw something that caused him to curse.
"Damn it" Myles cursed as he stared in front of him.
