His sword passed through the hearts of the players. At that moment, a notification flashed in his retina, and the player started to dissipate into countless fragments of light.

Myles briefly stared at the notification flashing in his retina before he turned his attention in front of him. The player standing before him had dissipated into countless small fragments.
In his place, the sword belonging to the player, a small pouch full of gold, and a shield rested on the ground.
Myles picked up only the pouch since he deemed the sword unnecessary.
"This sword is probably the same or similar to the beginner's sword that I have received," Myles thought to himself.
He opened up the pouch and saw that it was full of gold coins. He didn't waste too much time on it. He quickly kept the pouch in his inventory. A notification flashed in his retina at that moment.
(You have received 2000 universal coins.
Total Universal coins: 5000)
Myles ignored the notification flashing in his retina. He turned his attention towards the shield resting on the ground not too far away from him.
"I will take this sword and leave quickly; who knows when I will attract the attention of a beast," Myles thought to himself.
He walked towards the shield, picking it up when he got close enough. Upon picking it up, he realized that the shield was very heavy.
So heavy in fact, he assumed that his mobility decreased by a few percent. A notification also flashed in his retina upon picking it up.
(1. Iron Shield Grade: E
Description.
This shield is a mass-produced shield crafted by an unknown blacksmith. The blacksmith used nearly a dozen plating of iron to make it. Although it's not defensive power is not that impressive. It can block most of the impacts of low-level weapons.
Equipping condition: Strength Must be above 30 points.
Penalty: If your strength is below 100 points then your speed will decrease by 20 percent.
Current condition: 46% damaged)
"This shield is not that impressive." Myles thought as he read the description of the shield.
He started to inspect the shield a few seconds later when he saw how damaged it was.
He noticed that numerous small cracks had appeared on the shield sign, signaling that it was damaged.
Even though it was quite damaged, Myles wasn't worried in the least! Playing with a shield and sword was not his style so he planned to sell it when he reached Eldoria Kingdom!
"Let's store it in my inventory," Myles thought to himself.
Just as he was about to store it in his inventory, the loud sound of a gunshot resounded through his ears!
His thought was to turn his attention towards the source of the sound. However, even before he had time to react, he felt a tremendous amount of pain in his right chest. Blood started to come out like water coming out from a broken dam. He let out a scream of pain.
"Ahahah" Myles screamed but with great difficulty, he kept standing upright
(You have been shot)
(You have lost 20 HP
Current HP: 24)
Myles turned his attention towards the source of the sound, completely ignoring the notification. He saw two players standing on top of a branch of a tree.
Each one of them wielded modern-looking guns in their right hand. The guns were pointed towards him.
Upon seeing this Myles quickly made sure of the shield to cover himself from any further fire.
"Open Fire!" A voice resounded through his ears.
Right after that, a barrage of bullets began to rain down upon him.
"Damn it" Myles cursed as he tightened the grip on his sword and shield.
The shield blocked most of the bullets charging towards him. Each time the bullet collided with his shield, a loud metallic sound was produced. A small dent on the shield was produced each time when a single bullet hit the shield!
Dozens, if not hundreds, of bullets were hitting the shield, so one could imagine how much damage the shield was suffering!!
However, they weren't hitting his exposed legs and face. Proving that their aim was very bad.
Each time, their muzzle became empty. They changed them in a matter of seconds.
He also saw one of his enemies was rotating. He was well aware of their intentions.
"They are planning to open fire from all directions. I need to think of a way to close the distance to fight them" Myles thought to himself.
His mind began to race as he started to think of a way to survive this ordeal. Like an opportunity presented from heaven itself, the firing stopped a few seconds later.
"Damn it!" A player in front of him cursed.
Curiously, Myles took a peek at them
He saw that their guns had turned slightly red. What did it mean? It meant that their gun had overheated! He guessed that it would take at least a few minutes to cool down.
Even his enemies knew how bad of a situation they were in. Their faces had turned pale.
"I will get rid of the player trying to open fire from the other side" Myles grinned.
He didn't waste even a second and fearlessly charged towards the player who was rotating around him.
The player started to move further away from Myles with each passing second.
Everyone was well aware that they didn't possess any close combat fighting skills. Hence, if Myles got close enough, then their doom was certain. It didn't make much of a difference though.
Myles was faster than him; hence, the distance between them was decreasing with each passing second.
For some reason, the player didn't fire at Myles. Myles was very well aware of why.
"Their guns have overheated. Moreover, they are also afraid of running out of ammo" Myles guessed, grinning as he made a guess.
Let's assume that their guns have cooled down enough for them to open fire at them. He was afraid even if they opened fire.
Even if they opened fire, Myles wasn't afraid of this outcome. With his shield covering more than 80 percent of his body, he was confident that he could block any attacks.
Hence, Myles continued his charge. As he charged forward, he glanced at the other two players.
Their guns were pointed at him, and although they appeared to have cooled down, he knew they were still unusable; otherwise, the players would have opened fire long ago.
Myles ignored them and continued his charge. As Myles got closer and closer, the player got nervous.
The player looked at his allies and realized that they wouldn't be helping him currently.
"I have nothing to lose!" The player shouted as he opened fire at Myles.
A rain of bullets soon descended upon him. However, he remained unfazed as his shield blocked most of the attacks of his enemies.
Once or twice, some bullets grazed past through his legs, causing him to slowly lose HP.
His HP was very low hence he took out a healing potion from his inventory and emptied the entire bottle without giving it a second thought.
(You have gained 30 HP
Current HP: 44)
"I wasn't expecting this but this doesn't make a big difference!" Myles shouted back
He continued his charge. Moments later, he was within the reach of his enemy. He swung his sword towards his enemy intending to cut him in half.
Even before his sword could make contact with the enemy, something unexpected happened
A powerful howl resounded through their ears causing everyone to be shaken to their very core.
