Chapter 43 - Unyielding

Both teams were exhausted but determined to see the final quarter through to the end. The Eagles led with 86 points, while the Ripples trailed by 16. The Ripples players settled on the bench, a look of defeat beginning to settle on their faces. Sweat dripped from their brows, mingling with the disappointment in their eyes. Jamar looked around and noticed the look of someone who had lost and just wished for everything to be over quickly.

"Come on, guys, we might be down now, but we have a whole 12 minutes left to change the score. Don't give up; we can win this," he said, his voice carrying a desperate edge. With his slight encouragement, the Ripples players began to increase in confidence, the flicker of hope reigniting in their eyes.

As Jamar noticed the change, he received a notification from the system.
