After the whole class,found out that Rory was a genius,they didn't hold back their questions. Of course,they asked a series of really tough questions that even then r teacher couldn't answer.
They also informed the maths teacher,Mr Cole who also tested her and found out she was a genius.
Everyone who had doubts stopped and Rory promised to teach them and they all agreed. But she had a condition; they couldn't tell anyone in the school. This then became their class secret.
During, lunch,Rory,David,Terrence,Kay,Blaire and Franklin were all sitting together and chatting happily.
"What do you guys think about going out this Saturday?" Blaire asked while munching on her food.
"This Saturday,I think it's okay"David immediately agreed.
"Yeah am free this Saturday. What about you Frank?"Terrence chirped in
"I am also less busy"Frank nodded his head.
"Me too. Rory?"Kay turned her head over to Rory and asked with a smile.
Rory smiled and declined.
"Sorry guys,I have something going on this Saturday. How about next Saturday?"
The whole gang wasn't happy after hearing this but Rory wasn't lying,she really had something doing this Saturday.
"What is so important than hanging out with us?"David complained.
"Yeah what's the thing that is making you miss such a fun filled Saturday?"Frank couldn't hide his displeasure.
Rory just smiled and continued eating.
Meanwhile,
Sammy entered the cafeteria and searched around until her gaze landed on Rory and get team. Rory was sitting lazily and the others were trying to get her attention. They were playing and Rory has a smile on her face. She wasn't doing anything other than sitting but almost everyone's eyes couldn't leave Rory. She was just so adorable.
' Why?! Why?! Why?! She is just a good for nothing thrash! Yet the richest kids in school were flocking around her like she was some goddess?! This was unacceptable! I am going to make her pay! I gave her scars she can never forget. I broke her wings once,I'll do it again!' Sammy thought to herself.
She couldn't accept any of these things happening. Her gaze was evil while on Rory.
As if feeling the ill gaze on her,she turned her head and saw Sammy's evil look. She was instantly baffled. What has she done this time?
The people on the table saw Rory's gaze and followed her line of sight and they saw Sammy. When Sammy saw them,she changed her expression and placed an innocent on her face.
She walked over to them.
"Hello guys!"She greeted.
Instead of replying they all grumbled.
Her smile froze but she still continued.
"I'd like to invite you all to the Devane's annual banquet"She brought out invitation cards for each of them.
They didn't take it and just stared coldly at her hands. The air suddenly became awkward.
"You can keep your invite. We won't come even if you begged us"Kay said with disdain.
"Now scram!" David yelled.
However,Sammy just stood rooted to the ground with no intention of moving
"Didn't you hear him? He said scram!"Frank also said aggressively.
Rory stretched out her hand and accepted the invitation.
"We would definitely not miss it."She smiled but the smile didn't reach her eyes.
Everyone froze.
She accepted? Well if she was going to accept why didn't she just say so? Why did she have to humiliate me?
When she accepted it,the others followed suit.
When they all had accepted she quickly ran away from there.
Kay came closer to Rory and whispered,"are we really going?"
Why won't she go? She had attended all the banquets,so why would she miss this one? She was always there but never made an appearance. This year won't be different. Just that,she was going to attend and this was going to be explosive.
This was good but something didn't add up. She has been away for weeks but her family hadn't made any attempt to search for her or find out her whereabouts. Weren't they curious?
Kay just took her silence as a yes.

The day ended and Rory went home.
However,Daniel was already sitting on the sofa and he looked like he has been waiting for her for a long time.
"Rory we need to talk"His voice sounded serious. He didn't even greet her or ask how was her day. What was so important?
She gulped,walked over and sat down beside him.
"Rory I will be going on a business trip".
"For how long?"
"A week?! That's too long!" She exclaimed.
A week was too long? The trip was for 4 weeks,because of her,he reduced it to 1 and she was still complaining?
"I know,but there's nothing I can do"He coaxed her and pulled her into his embrace.
When she inhaled his fresh scent,she calmed down a bit but she still grumbled.
"What would I do by myself in this big house? And you promised you'd take me out on Saturday!"
"I am sorry but you can invite your friends over,okay? Don't worry it won't take long."He stroked her hair lovingly.
"Am already missing you."She said softly.
Daniel's eyes became gentler. He smiled and just let her fall asleep in his embrace.
Rory and Daniel usually played together. He read her bedtime stories,watched movies with her. All in all, they had good times together.
Daniel carried her to the bedroom and tucked her in. He sat beside her and whispered,"I'll miss you too"
He watched her sleep. Until he got a phonecall before he got up and left. Before he left,he kissed her forehead.
She'd probably be upset when she woke up.

The next morning,she woke up to see the other side of the bed empty.
At first she was scared,but she finally remembered that he went away on a business trip.
"He didn't even say goodbye"She pursed her lips.
She went downstairs for breakfast.
She was shocked to see Cece and Zoe Zoe standing there along with 2 other servants.
"What are you guys doing here?"She asked suspiciously.
"Oh nothing. We are just here to accompany you for breakfast"
Hearing his reply,she finally understood. Daniel must have asked them to do this,so she won't get bored.
