Na-ri stood at the entrance of the teleport room, watching as exhausted, injured, and hopeful survivors slowly poured in from the maze; for now, it was a little less than 50 each day, but it was a start. Most were just civilian types, just barely scraping by, but they were determined and resilient; one had to be to survive the horrors of both this planet and the maze. Some, though, were warriors ready for battle and to fight for strength—the kind of people Na-ri needed to start building her own organization.
She had been working in the background, approaching people quietly as they returned, offering a choice. Her pitch was simple: "I'm creating something new, something stronger than what's out there—a place where we don't live under fear but work together for true protection." She didn't need to elaborate much, as the other organizations' reputations spoke for themselves.
