Chapter 9 - body and mind.

N/A

After a month or almost a month, I think... I'm back with a new chapter!!

You know, studies and all that, I've been studying non-stop, I hate math... but well, here you have a chapter after a long time!

Honestly, sometimes I have time to write, but I have no motivation, sometimes I don't have time and I feel like writing, weird things eh? Ok, I'll stop talking about that and enjoy the chapter!

I don't know if the chapter was good or if I wrote something edgy, but well, the MC is a villain, so...enjoy this!

-.--.-

From the pool of blood, a person slowly emerged, his body convulsing as he fell out of the pool, crashing to the ground with a sickening thud. His voice echoed through the large, dimly lit room, "Heat... burn... my blood... burn..." he muttered, his hands covering his face, which was smeared with blood. He whispered, "Burn... this burns..." The air was thick with the metallic scent of blood, and the sound of his labored breathing was the only other sound in the room.

A playful voice came from behind him, "So, did it not go as planned or something?" The boss turned around, his eyes squinting in pain, to see a person sitting in a chair, partially obscured by the shadows. Only his legs, clad in black pants, and a pair of piercing crimson eyes were visible, gleaming with amusement.

"You..." the boss muttered, his arms falling limply by his sides. He gazed at his arms, now limp and lifeless, and muttered, "It burns... it burns a lot..." His voice was laced with a mix of pain and desperation.

"I guess your plan went wrong, and you did it too soon, right? Typical of a villain when he's desperate..." The voice with the crimson eyes chimed in, amusement and curiosity lacing his tone. He leaned forward, his eyes fixed intently on the boss.

The boss's arms suddenly regained mobility, and he stared at them with empty eyes, as if unsure of what was happening. "No... it went well... it went well... so long... I'm sure it went well... I'm... sure..." His voice trailed off, and he looked around the room, disoriented.

As he spoke, the room's temperature began to rise, and his arms turned visibly red, as if scalded by boiling water. The boss's screams of pain echoed through the room, "Ahh... haa... AAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" His body began to shake and convulse, and he fell to the ground, his eyes rolling back in his head.

His screams grew louder, and he fell to the ground, his body thrashing about. He bit his arm hard, but the blood that flowed from his arm was boiling hot, and when it hit his face, he screamed in agony, collapsing to the ground, his body wracked with pain.

The person in the darkness spoke, "So, you failed, huh?" A smile spread across his face as he watched the boss writhe in pain. He seemed to be enjoying the show, his eyes gleaming with interest.

The boss's body began to undergo a grotesque transformation, his skin turning a deep shade of red, as if his blood was boiling inside him. His organs exploded rapidly, and jets of blood shot out of his mouth, creating a large pool of blood beneath him. The air was filled with the sound of his labored breathing, and the stench of blood and sweat hung heavy in the air.

The person in the darkness stood up, "Okay, let's try this..." He approached the boss, his movements fluid and deliberate.

He crouched beside the boss, "You're a mess, dude. I can see your blood coming out of your pores non-stop, your arteries and veins are exploding every second, covering your entire body..." He seemed to be studying the boss's body, his eyes fixed intently on the gruesome scene before him.

He leaned in closer, his voice taking on a more serious tone, "Are you dying from your desperation to become stronger and fear of dying for someone superior, or are you getting stronger by destroying your body?" His eyes seemed to bore into the boss's soul, searching for answers.

The boss's body began to undergo an even more grotesque transformation, a huge lump emerging from his back. It exploded, and blood burst out, soaking everything around him. The sound of his screams was drowned out by the sound of his own body tearing itself apart.

The person in the darkness took a step back, his eyes fixed on the boss's body, "I don't think a vampire with so much preparation would die like this... Come on, surely if this were a story, the script would be on your side, and you would revive...?" His voice was laced with a mix of amusement and curiosity, as if he was waiting to see what would happen next.

Suddenly, the boss's body stirred, and the blood on the ground began to move, as if it had a life of its own. The blood seemed to be alive, squirming like countless worms devouring their prey, crawling towards the boss's body, entering through the numerous wounds, pores, and every opening in his body. The temperature in the room continued to rise, the air thickening with an otherworldly energy.

The boss's hand twitched, and he reached out, his movements slow and labored, as if weighed down by an unseen force. His body began to rise, the sound of bones cracking and reforming, flesh and skin tearing and repairing itself, filled the room. The boss's body was transformed, his skin regenerating at an alarming rate, his once-toned and muscular physique now withered and frail, like that of an old man who had gone years without sustenance.

His hair turned gray and brittle, as if he had aged centuries in mere seconds. The boss looked like a completely different person, his eyes vacant, his skin sallow.

The boss slowly turned his head, his gaze fixing on Lucius. "Ha...ahh...haaa....thirsty..." he whispered, before vanishing into thin air.

Lucius smiled, and the air around him seemed to rip apart. The floor of the room cracked, and rocks flew through the air as he shot out of the room, his feet leaving the ground. He flew down the stairs, bouncing off the walls with incredible speed, the walls cracking and breaking apart as he went.

Lucius crashed into the boss's room on the top floor, landing hard on the ground. He looked up at the ceiling, a small smile still on his face.

"A ghoul or something like that...? It didn't look like a vampire, although maybe it's different..." Lucius muttered, getting to his feet with ease. He looked down at his chest, noticing that it was abnormally sunken, as if an incredible force had struck him.

"Not bad..." Lucius said, a pleased smile spreading across his face as he took in the sight of his own chest.

Suddenly, a bony hand grasped Lucius' face, its grip like a vice. Lucius didn't flinch, instead, he began to speak, "Good speed--" but before he could finish his sentence, he vanished in a flash, only to reappear a split second later, his head slamming into the ground with incredible force. The walls of the room shattered, rocks and debris flying everywhere as Lucius' head crashed through the floor, his body bent at an unnatural angle.

The boss, his withered and aged body a stark contrast to his former self, gazed at Lucius with empty eye sockets, his gaze unblinking. He looked at his own hand, the one that had just grasped Lucius' face, and muttered, "Thirsty..."

The air was heavy with tension, the only sound the dust settling from the destroyed walls and the faint creaking of the damaged floorboards. Lucius' head remained buried in the ground, his body motionless, while the chief stood over him, his gaze fixed on his hand, his mind consumed by an unquenchable thirst.

---

The darkness enveloped me once again, a familiar and comforting shroud that seemed to calm my very soul. I sat in the same void, gazing at a figure that was both familiar and yet, utterly different. This time, it was a boy with tattered clothes, his piercing blue eyes locking onto mine with an unnerving intensity. His long, greasy hair seemed to move of its own accord, as if stirred by an invisible breeze, despite the stagnant air of the dark realm.

I couldn't help but smile as I addressed the boy, who was unmistakably Dracul. "So...if I think about you, I can talk to you, right?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

Dracul's smile was a mere whisper of a curve, but it was enough to send shivers down my spine. "Yeah..." he replied, his voice low and husky.

I leaned forward, my eyes locked onto his. "Okay!" I said, my voice filled with a mix of excitement and trepidation. "What did you really do to me? I mean, the first time I killed without hesitation, I felt... strange. But I let myself get carried away by the ecstasy and the strangeness of it all. It felt... good."

Dracul's smile grew, his eyes glinting with a knowing light. "I only gave you power," he said, his voice dripping with an otherworldly conviction. "You're not human anymore. Those feelings of guilt, of remorse... they're nothing to you now. Killing is just a reflex, a thoughtless act, like swatting an ant. You don't feel anything. Does a person remember how many ants they've killed in their lifetime? Of course not." He chuckled, a low, menacing sound. "I gave you my wings, freed your mind from the shackles of human morality. Your humanity has left your body, and now you're a free and liberated being. Your mind is unencumbered by the burdens of conscience and morality. I was the key that unlocked that prison, and now you're... unchained."

"Lucius...do you really want to be a human in this kind of world...?" Dracul's voice was laced with a hint of amusement, as if he was savoring the irony of the situation. "I know you're someone who gives up easily, I could see inside you, when you came to this world you tried to do some things to change your life, being an orphan could be a kind of advantage in this kind of world, you're not limited to family, there's no one to protect, you were someone free...but you didn't take your first step, you just stood on the road, cars passed by but you didn't take the step when the cars stopped driving, you just stood still, doing nothing, you were afraid that something would happen, it was obvious, this world is not easy, it's not nice, it's not beautiful... it's... scary"

Dracul's words cut deep, and I felt a pang of recognition. He was right, I had been stuck in a rut, afraid to take the leap, afraid of the unknown.

"You were a little bird that didn't want to fly out of the nest, your comfort zone, you didn't want to leave your quiet life, but at the same time you were in conflict, you wanted to take that step... your body wanted it, but your mind didn't allow it," Dracul continued, his eyes seeming to bore into my very soul. "You knew the danger was incredibly high, one false step and your life would vanish like space dust, into nothingness... forgotten like a person who was not important, a person forgotten in the void..."

I felt a shiver run down my spine as Dracul's words painted a vivid picture of my inner turmoil.

"You were trapped, Lucius, trapped by your own fears and doubts. But I gave you the key to unlock your true potential. I gave you my wings, and I gave you your freedom," Dracul said, his voice filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

He closed his eyes, and a small smile played on his lips. "Your body only acted alone, you let out your true emotions, your physical and mental lock opened, your morality broke and you were free. There you flew for the first time, the things you wanted to do you can now do without feeling fear... I gave you my wings and I gave you your freedom..."

"Ah, it was so much fun watching what you used to do," Dracul said, his eyes gleaming with amusement, "kill people without hesitation, something you never would have done before. Morality tied you down, and you were chained to it, but now you're free from it. You're free to do whatever you want, Lucius."

Dracul's smile grew wider, his teeth glinting in the dim light. "I chose you because you weren't a saint, your mind was different. You always wanted to do so many things, but you were held back by your own doubts and fears. But now, you can do them. Don't hesitate, just do it. Enjoy it, delight in it, eat it, kill it, destroy it."

"Ha...haha...hahaha..." I laughed, my mouth covered by my hand, as I couldn't help but find humor in the absurdity of it all. My mind was already changed, no, it was released. The shackles of morality and fear that had held me back for so long were gone, and I was finally free to explore the depths of my own desires.

I remembered the thrill of watching Spiderman swing through the city, feeling the rush of adrenaline as he soared through the air. I had always wanted to experience that feeling, to be free and unencumbered, but at the same time, I was held back by my own fears.

The fear of living in a world where anything could happen at any moment was a constant companion. I had read fanfics where the main characters had transmigrated or reincarnated into the MCU, armed with special abilities and systems that allowed them to navigate the dangers of their new world. But I had none of that. I was just a ordinary person, living in a world where the impossible was possible, and the unknown was always lurking.

"Yes... I was afraid," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "This world is mysterious, and I had no information about it. The fear was constant, always lurking in the back of my mind. I didn't know what could happen tomorrow, or the next day, or the day after that. I tried to live my life peacefully, but I knew that fear was still inside me, deep inside me. Will a monster kill me someday? Will a villain kidnap me and torture me? Will I die in an accident during a fight between a hero and a villain? I didn't know, and that not knowing was what scared me the most."

I looked at Dracul, a smile still playing on my lips. "I didn't know how those people could live peacefully without the constant fear of the unknown. Don't they ever worry that in the blink of an eye, their world will disappear, and they will die? It's strange, isn't it?"

"it's like their life was happy and fearless... they had the information to save themselves, information about the future, they had ways to defend themselves, ways to save the people they care about," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "But... if they didn't have that... would they still be alive...? if they didn't have those abilities... would they still be alive...? would they feel that fun again...?"

I looked at Dracul, my eyes searching for answers. "If they were normal humans, in a world you don't know, you have no information, no way to defend yourself, you don't have a shield, no weapon... how can you live without fear...? fear doesn't go away... you just try to hide it and try to live like a normal person..."

I sighed, a small smile playing on my lips. "I always envied the people of this world, they experienced so many things and continued living their lives with peace and happiness, without the constant fear of dying. Although... they don't know the kind of world they are in, I envied them... not being afraid, living happily and peacefully."

I fell silent, my eyes drifting off into the distance. I think I'm talking too much today... I thought to myself, a small chuckle escaping my lips. But it feels good to finally be able to talk about these things, to finally be able to express the feelings and thoughts that have been bottled up inside me for so long.

"Although...if they had information about what kind of world they live in, I think it would be much worse," I said, a mischievous glint in my eye. "They would be scared, wouldn't they? Beings that can destroy worlds, cosmic beings, all-powerful gods...terrifying beings..."

I smiled at Dracul, who was watching me with an amused expression. "I think I've had enough of this conversation, don't you?" I said, a sly grin spreading across my face.

I sighed, a sense of liberation washing over me. "I think I've talked enough. I want to have fun and let myself go...like you said, I want to enjoy the freedom of not being human."

"Well...I hope the conversation helped you, Lucius...bye" Dracul's voice faded into the distance as the darkness closed in around me.

I felt myself being pulled into a warm, dark pool of water, and my vision began to fade to black. I was surrounded by an inky blackness that seemed to have a life of its own, and I felt my consciousness slipping away.

But just as I was about to lose myself completely, I remembered something. "Oh right! The weird vampire guy from the ritual."

---

The Boss, with his empty eye sockets, stared at the ceiling, his gaze fixed on the ceiling. He took a step forward, his unsteady steps echoing through the room. As he walked, the sound of broken wood and bones readjusting filled the air. He turned his head to look behind him, and his gaze fell upon Lucius, who was standing with his arms readjusting themselves in plain sight. Lucius' face, which had been broken and shattered, began to regenerate before the Boss's very eyes.

In no time, Lucius' body and clothes were completely healed and in good condition. He looked up at the ceiling with his piercing crimson eyes and said, "Good conversation, I feel... a little better, calmer you know?"

The Boss, still gazing at Lucius with his empty eye sockets, replied, "Thirsty..."

Lucius smiled and said, "Yeah... you're thirsty right...? I just... want to feel the thrill, I don't know if I should say that I'm a person with a sad past, I won't justify the acts I did, killing thousands of people, playing with them... human morality is boring to me, I do what I want, even more in a world like this... but you know something...?"

The Boss suddenly interrupted Lucius, jumping towards him with his decrepit fist. He pushed himself towards Lucius and threw a punch, tearing the air and cracking the ground beneath him. The punch landed on the wall, causing the cracks to spread throughout the ceiling and floor.

Lucius' voice came from behind the Boss, "Fun for me is endless, I can always have fun, the excitement, the emotions of fun, ecstasy, laughter... I like those things, but when I fight, kill, or something like that... I love it... does a person like me really need something like a super sad past or something like that...? In short... I'm a villain, don't you think?"

The Boss quickly reacted, launching a kick towards Lucius' head at a terrifying speed. But Lucius ducked in time, avoiding the kick. He smiled and said, while crouched, "I like being this way."

Suddenly, Lucius raised his right hand, his index finger and thumb forming a gun shape, pointing at the Boss. "Bang..."

The ground shattered, the walls broke, and the wind tore through the room, creating a sound like an explosion. The Boss was shot backwards, crashing into the wall, which began to sink and crack under the telekinetic force of Lucius' attack. The Boss was immobilized, unable to move.

Lucius smiled again and said, "Bang..."

The wall exploded, sending the Boss flying out of the building. The room was left in shambles, with debris scattered everywhere. Lucius lowered his hand and walked out of the building, passing through the dust and rubble. He exited through the large hole he had created, leaving the destroyed room behind.

Lucius walked out of the building and looked around, taking in his surroundings. He was in an alley, and he looked in one direction, but the boss was nowhere to be seen. He walked out of the alley and into the empty streets, and that's when he saw the boss, standing in the middle of the street, staring at the ground.

Suddenly, the boss turned around, and Lucius noticed that his appearance had changed slightly. His previously empty eye sockets were now filled with crimson eyes, which stared at Lucius with an intense gaze.

The boss opened his dirty old mouth and said "You... You..."

Lucius just smiled and said "Are you going to hit me or not?" The boss took a step and pushed himself towards Lucius in the blink of an eye, arriving in front of him quickly. He clenched his fist and threw a punch at Lucius, who grabbed the fist with his hand.

Lucius was pushed back slightly and said "Not bad, skeleton!" He smiled and moved his leg quickly, giving a knee to the boss's stomach. The air was torn and the foot that Lucius had on the ground sank, cracking the ground with force. The boss's body was lifted off the ground, and he was sent flying in a direction.

The boss crashed through a car, smashing it into pieces. He crashed into the wall of a building and went through it, the sound of walls being destroyed echoing through the streets. The boss began to go through even more walls and entire buildings, leaving a trail of destruction.

Lucius smiled and said "ok, round 2..." He seemed to be enjoying the fight, and he was ready to take on the boss again.
