Everything hurt so bad.

My head was pounding like I got hit really hard.

I felt dizzy and strange, and genuinely tired - like I ran a hundred miles without stopping.

My body was numb, but not the good type of numbness that's caused by my pills.

This numbness felt wrong like I got hit by a train or something.

My eyelids were so heavy, and my arms and legs felt like lead weights.

I was just drifting in total darkness, confused about what happened.

I don't remember anything.

Did I overdose on my meds by accident?

No, that couldn't be it - I'm always really careful with my dosages.

I couldn't remember anything at all, just this massive headache like someone bashed me in the skull with a baseball bat.

Gathering every bit of strength, I forced my eyes open, blinking slowly as blurry shapes and shadows swam in my vision.
