Chapter 55 - Chapter 55 Fight for Freedom.

Bright red hair waving in the night breeze, white milky skin glowing under the light of the moon, a body slender and thin, with modest curves on top and a cute little face to top it all off. By all accounts this girl named Salina, while not perfect with her looks, would most definitely have been considered to be quite blessed to be born as she was, that is if she just wasn't where she was right now.

In a small cage, that was in a quiet and mostly empty street, Salina stood as a living advertisement, of that what was to be found within the building behind her. Standing there with a collar of many spikes that bit into her skin, and an attire of clothes on that were hardly even noticeable on her. This cute girl Salina looked like a true hore, because that was what she was.

Or that was what she was advertised as, but the problem was that the owner had set her price at a staggering 1000 gold coins and as such no-one had bought her. They either didn't have the money or just didn't see her as worth the price, and so she always stood there basically just fulfilling the role of a sign board, that men sometimes were allowed to touch, but thankfully not use.

Needless to say, the job was extremely demeaning to her and not something that she, or anyone for that matter would ever have dared to dream off. Especially since she wasn't even getting paid for this. Overall the whole situation just drove her crazy, she didn't want to do this anymore, no she had to find a way out. Time and time again she had thought of just ending it all, but for her few surviving sisters sakes she held onto hope and prayed for a saviour to come.

With the recent news of one of her sister's escaping along with another girl, she did finally feel somewhat hopeful that her time for freedom was soon to come. After all there had not been any news of the two girls being recaptured or hanged for their escape attempt and so she felt hopeful.

With this in mind she still kept her bright red eyes downcast as three drunken men stumbled happily out of the building behind her. She did not dare to look upon them in fear of gaining their interest and having their disgusting hands come squeezing and touching upon her.

Then as the men passed and the back street became quiet again, she took notice of something dark moving in the corner of her eye.

Looking up, over the middle-aged man who guarded the door and to the roof above him. Her eyes widened in shock as she saw the furry face of a female Lycan dressed in all black looking down upon her, with its shiny red eyes.

For a moment silence rained, until the guard questioningly said.

"What? Don't tell me there is something stuck to my beard again? I'm sure I cleaned it properly in the evening before coming here for my shift."

Hurriedly coming out of her stupor, Salina looked upon the man and innocently said.

"Oh no, its not that. You look fine, its just that the night is a bit chilly. So I was just thinking if you could maybe hand me my blanket already."

To this the guard merely laughed as he then walked over to her cage and said.

"Oh, you know I can't do that. You still got a few hours remaining in there, I'm sure you can stick it out seeing as you're kind are naturally quite warm-blooded."

Then the man grabbed a hold of the metal bars as he continued by saying.

"But, you know what I could do? I could always give you a nice little massage, if you'd like. Or maybe a few slaps on your bum to get the blood flowing again. Hehehe, what do you say."

Salina smiling towards the man acted shocked as she said.

"Oh, but what about your kids and your wife. What would she say about you laying your hands on a innocent little girl like me?"

Laughing at this the man said.

"Hahaha, she would say, that's my man!"

The man was about to continue but was cut short as a hard tud was heard behind him. He was about to turn, but too late.

Accalia swiftly moved one hand to grab at the back of the man's head, holding it in place as the other wrapped around his neck, creating a tight chokehold.

The man tried to scream, but only grunts were heard as he desperately pulled at Accalias strong arm and tried to kick her with his feet.

For a moment the man struggled, until he finally went limp and the smell of piss hit Accalias nose. Only then did she let go of the now unconscious man, dropping him limply to the ground.

Seeing this all Salina seemed overjoyed as she held on to the metal bars and excitedly said.

"Oh thank the goddess, your finally here. Please go get the keys from the top drawer of the main desk inside, and free me, quickly before the guard patrols come."

Nodding her head Accalia lifted the thuggish guard upon her shoulder and went inside the building. Looking around she felt a sense of relief. Not long ago she had escaped this place thanks to Lili and now she was about to be able to free the others as well. Even from the entrance of the building she could quite clearly still smell them all, just waiting in their cells for her.

Moving quickly Accalia tossed the guard man into a small cage and locked it. From there she went to the desk and started searching around for the keys within there.

From drawer to drawer she went through them all, but nothing. The keys weren't there. Realising this her heart sank and then her ears picked up the sounds of three people coming her way.

From the side door that led to the set of hallways where she and Lili had been held, she could hear the men getting closer and amongst them she recognised a similar sounding voice.

"Will will, you you, give me, big big, bonus for this, yes yes."

Sounds of patting followed with a happy cheerful voice saying.

"Worry not Ratbag, today we all will be getting a hefty bonus, in the form of drinks and women."

Then the door slammed open and a short man stepped into the room yelling.

"Off to the tavern mates, let's have us some ale!"

Behind the short man a big burley man and the feeble Ratbag followed. The men were seemingly already drunk as they then spotted the unconscious guard and went to his side.

Pointing at the man the short fellow said.

"Hahaha, look he pissed his pants, what a loser."

Laughing next to him the burley man then said.

"Hahahaha, what an idiot. How'd he manage to get himself locked up like that."

To this Ratbag only let out little gurgles as he fell to the floor with his throat cut and blood flying everywhere.

Hearing this the burley man turned slightly and confusedly said.

"Huh, what did you say Ratbag."

And then before he even realised what had happened, claws came upon his neck and sliced it open. Five deep wounds opened on his neck and blood started pouring out of them heavily causing the mans eyes widen in shock.

Like a ninja, Accalia quickly retreated back into the shadows and behind some vacant cages as she watched the short man came to a slow realisation of what was happening here. Like a coward the man started screaming in a panic yelling.

"What the fuck? You're bleeding man, wa wa, what did you do? What happened?"

With both hands upon his bleeding neck the burley man tried to say something, but only bloody gurgles came out his mouth. Using this opportunity Accalia climbed atop a tall cage and pounced down upon the short man.

Not expecting this at all, the short man was pushed to the ground with ease as Accalia, without much thought bit down on his neck.

For a second the man screamed in agony until Accalia pulled back and a large junk of meat was torn off of the man's neck, totally destroying his ability of speech.

Blood flew into Accalias face and all around the floor as she then spat the disgusting piece of meat away. Accalia seemed totally lost in the moment as she then received a hard kick to the side sending her rolling off of the short man and against some hard cages.

Caught off guard by this Accalia frantically looked up to see the burley man looking down upon her with anger in his eyes. The man held one hand upon his bleeding throat as he yelled to her in rage through bloody words.

"Y-yo-you ki, ki, killed, my brother, Di didn, didn't you! You, yo, mons, monster!"

After saying this, the man lifted up his right leg and with great force started stumping down on her without holding anything back.

Accalia did not know what the man spoke of and she didn't really care. All she could say was damn did he kick hard. Using her arms to block the blows just like Lili had thought her, Accalia managed to minimise the damage, but it still hurt really bad. And so she was forced on the offensive.

Grabbing a hold of the man's kicking right leg she managed to stop it for a moment in its tracks, but that was enough. With but a quick slice she cut the tendons of his feet and made him bleed, essentially crippling the man.

The man let out a loud gurgling scream as he choked on his own blood and fell hard to the ground.

Using this opportunity Accalia pounced upon him and stuck her claws through his eye sockets. The man pulled on her arms and kicked at the ground in desperation, but quickly fell limp as he died.

Overall the killing hadn't taken long. And by the quietness of her surroundings, it seemed that she hadn't raised any alarm. Although the whole ordeal did make her feel a bit bad, after all she had agreed to not harm people unnecessarily, but then again this was kind of necessary in her eyes. And besides, these people deserved this plus the short man even seemed to have the set of keys that she had been looking for.

Grabbing the keys off of the dead man, Accalia then went to free the girl outside. While searching for the right keys the girl introduced herself to Accalia as Salina Licania, a 14 year old girl from another Lycan tribe much like her own.

Once freed the girl agreed to assist Accalia with her mission of freeing the others and with no guards around anymore, they quickly headed to the halls filled with cells.

First came a hall with 6 middle aged high-class girls with blonde hair and blue eyes. From her encounter with them before this, Accalia remembered them to be quite loyal to the master of this place and so they didn't awaken them from their sleep and simply moved on.

Then came two other long hallways with 16 cells in each. But instead of blondes, these cells only held darker haired young girls of ages ranging from 6 to 30 something, but the ages were not a sure thing l, just a sickening visual estimate of hers.

These girls while probably more willing to escape just didn't seem trustworthy in Accalias eyes and so they passed these hallways also and headed for the one that held her red haired sister's.

Already from behind the door she could smell the stench of sex in the air, mixed in with blood and mist of all the similar sent of her sister's.

With anticipation Accalia unlocked the door and stepped inside with Salina following close behind. Immediately she was met with the horrible stench in the room and the sight of all her girls laying weakly upon their cell floors.

Their bodies were full of bruises and dried blood. Thier clothes were ripped into pieces leaving them all fully naked upon the floor with their visibly used private parts on full view.

Seeing this Accalia clenched her fist and mashed her teeth in rage. The sight before her was inexcusable. Right at that moment she wanted nothing more to just kill all these northern invaders for good, as did Salina who was the first to speak as she said.

"Damn them all. How could they do this. Don't these southeners have any kindness within their hearts. And then they dare call us animals and dogs. I say we put them all down with our very own claws and take our lands back for ourselves, just like we should have done a long time ago."

Hearing this, Accalia found it hard to say anything in disagreement to this. For a long time now that was exactly what she had been dreaming of doing. If it weren't for these southeners then maybe she would still have an family and a home to return to.

But no she couldn't just agree with her words. After meeting Lili, as special as she was, Accalia knew that not all southeners were bad. She had even heard stories from Lili about other kind and caring southeners, namely this boy named Art that Lili spoke off. So no she couldn't fully agree with Salinas statements and so she said.

"No Salina, don't be ridiculous. We shouldn't let our emotions have the better of us. Let's first just count ourselves lucky if we even manage to get out of here alive and go from there."

Salina didn't seem satisfied with this answer but she kept quiet as Accalia went to free the girls.

Opening up the first cell door Accalia ran to her sisters side and quickly went to unlocked the collar. With a click, the collar came loose off of the girl and fell to the ground.

The bruised and bloodied girl slowly fluttered her eyes open. Her hands automatically went to her now naked neck as she looked upon Accalia in confusion and said.

"Sister Accalia, is that you?"

Placing a hand on the girls shoulder Accalia smiled towards her bitterly as she said.

"Yes its me sister. I came to get you all out of here. Now, can you walk? We need to get out of here as fast as possible, before the city guards arrive."

Nodding her head the girl said.

"Yeah, of course. I know I might look bad on the outside, but trust me, it's not as bad as you might think."

The girl then pushed herself into a sitting position and from behind her back teeth, she took out a small light stone as she then said.

"Hihi, see this little guy. Thanks to this, those guys didn't manage to kill us, and we even managed to recover quite well from it all. Although my body still feels like it's on fire and everything hurts, but other than that I'm at least fine. Although I'm not sure of the other girls, But last I asked they did sound fine as well."

After saying this the girl started to transform into her furry form without any hesitation. The girl let out a pained howl as her body began to change and bones began cracking and bending into their new shapes.

Seeing that the girl was fine, Accalia quickly began to free the others and soon with Salina included there were 17 furry Lycans in the cellblock.

Looking over her sisters Accalia stood proudly in front of them and said.

"Now let us free the others here and leave this place for good. Just remembered to keep quiet and follow my lead I have a place where we can go."

Nodding their heads in agreement the 16 naked furry girls followed behind as Accalia led the way to the other cellblock.

There they were immediately met by screams and fearful looks of the dark haired girls enslaved there. With little time to lose Accalia lifted her hands and tried to explain herself to them as she said.

"Calm down girls, no need to be afraid. We mean you no harm. All we want is to get out of here just like you I would imagine. Now do you want to join us and get your freedom or would you rather continue staying here? The choice is yours, now what say you?"

Despite saying this as convincingly as she could, Accalia could see no fate in the girls eyes towards her. Although she couldn't really blame them as she too didn't trust these girls, the only reason she was even doing this was because that was what Lili had wanted to do.

Standing at the side Salina stepped forward and angrily saying.

"What do you think you're doing sister Accalia. Those are not Lycans, those are our enemies. Enslaved or not, they are not us and they would only sell us out to their kind if given the chance. They are not to be trusted."

Looking to the other sisters, Salina tried to get support to her words as she said to them.

"Right sisters?"

But there were no voices of support there. The others only looked at each other with doubt and remained in silence, as Accalia spoke up again and said.

"No sister Salina, you are mistaken. The world is not all black and white as you might imagine it to be. They, just like us have families, loved ones, hopes and dreams of a happy future. Sure there are some bad ones amongst them, but the same holds true with us as well. We should not judge them all based on the actions of a few vile men."

Saying this Accalia could see that it had no effect on Salina. She clearly did not know of any truly good southeners and so she couldn't relate with her words at all, but that was ok. After all Salina didn't know of Lili, and so her prejudice against the southeners was reasonable.

As they talked a little girl got up against her cells bars and called out to Accalia saying.

"I want to be free. please help me."

Hearing the voice Accalia turned to look towards the end of the hallway, where she saw an extremely young looking girl She was definitely the youngest of everyone here. She had beautiful brown hair and dark eyes that were looking at her pleadingly.

Seeing the girl Accalia immediately rushed to her cell door and began unlocking it as she said.

"Oh sweetie, don't worry I'm coming."

With a click the door unlocked and Accalia opened the door. Shocked gasps and yells for Accalia to get away could be heard from the other cells.

The imprisoned people around seemed to believe that Accalia was about to eat the little girl, which in turn made the little girl back off in fright herself.

Seeing this Accalia turned her back to the girl, crouched down and pointed to her back as she said.

"Come on sweetie, hop on to my back. We don't have a whole lot of time left. The guards are going to come around soon and we do not want to be here when they arrive."

The girl hesitated as others yelled for her to get away, but this only seemingly seemed to encourage her as she clenched her little fists in determination and walked forward. And, with but a small hop she jumped onto Accalias back and wrapped her arms around her neck as she hesitantly asked.

"You're not going to eat me, right?"

Hearing the little girl speak, Accalia couldn't help but notice her strong accent. She sounded like she was placing way too much emphasis on wrong parts of a given word, making her sound quite funny and cute.

With a Wolfy smile Accalia merely glanced back at her and said.

"Never, believe it or not but we Lycans do not eat humans. Now hold on tight, it's going to be a bumpy ride."

Nodding her head the girl wrapped her arms tightly around Accalias neck as they headed out of the cell.

Despite not having done anything bad to the little girl, the other imprisoned girls were still not convinced in the slightest of her good intentions.

Seeing this Salina tried to urge Accalia to move on and leave them, but she couldn't do that. Freeing the others was Lilis wish and that was exactly what she intended to do now.

Going from cell door to cell door, Accalia quickly opened them all up, although she left their slave collars untouched as she then called to them all and said.

"While I cannot prove my innocence or my intent to do no harm to you. Let me just say that I hold no anger towards you all. My quarrels are with the ones who enslaved us and who have kept us enslaved, not with you. So please believe me when I tell you I mean no harm. I just want to see us all safe and free from this horrible place. Now if you'd just follow me, then I swear to you that I can get you to a safe place away from here. I can see your slave marks healed and collars removed, as long as you are willing to trust in me and follow."

From the looks of it her sisters definitely seemed moved by her fantastical words. While the dark haired girls just seemed hesitant.

With a sigh Accalia seeing no real reaction from the girls turned around to leave, but then the eldest of the girls, a woman maybe in her thirties stepped forward saying.

"Fine, I'll trust you. Anything is better than this place. Just promise me that if you're going to eat me, then you'll kill me quickly before that, ok?"

To this Accalias mood immediately brightened as she laughed and said.

"Yes of course. But worry not for it isn't ever going to come to that. We Lycans after all are humans just like you, except a bit different. We never eat our own kind, it's only the Feral Lycans that do that. So worry not, you're safe with us."

To this the woman merely said.

"We will see."

And then like a chain reaction the other girls also stepped forward and joined the group. It was like a flock of sheep following their leader simply out of the fear of being left alone.

With this the group of 17 Lycans suddenly had an additional 16 girls in the group.

Accalia in the lead they then headed for the second cellblock with more dark haired girls and a few blondes mixed in. Once more Accalia went to work opening up all the cells and giving the girls a choice.

And once more the girls seemed hesitant, but as Accalia started moving towards the final cellblock the girls caved in and joined the growing group.

Now with a large group of 32 girls and 17 Lycans they entered the final cellblock and were met with the baffled and scared faces of the middle-aged blonde haired and blue eyed women.

Opening up the 6 cells Accalia once more gave them a choice and explained to them that the masters they so loved were dead now.

For a moment the women hesitated, but under the stares of the large group they caved in to the pressure and joined in as well.

Seeing this Accalia couldn't quite believe it, suddenly she had gone from a lone freedom fighter in the night to a leader of 54 girls, that is if you didn't include her into that number. The number was so large that with it she could easily set up her own little village somewhere and she just so happened to know a place that she could do this at.

Having learned from their escape before this, Accalia immediately led the group into the sewers. Standing guard on the roof she watched as the group quickly made it's way into the sewers through a circular manhole on middle of the back allay street.

In the distance she could hear the sounds of men talking and the clacking of metal armour. But by the sound of them they were still quite far and so the last of the girls entered the sewers without any incidents.

Then as Accalia was about to climb down the roof and enter the sewers herself she smelled something burning and the sound of a man screaming in pain.

Climbing down off of the roof she looked to the slave shop and was immediately met with an gruesome sight. Salina in her black furry form was covered in blood as small fires were starting rage behind her. It seemed like multiple candles had been toppled over and lanterns broken, making all the wood in the building slowly start to catch on fire. Shocked by the sight of this Accalia called out to her and asked.

"Salina, what's going on? What happened? Are you alright?"

Smiling viciously she looked to the cages in the corner of the shop and there Accalia saw a bloody sight. The guard they had subdued before was decapitated and laying there in a pool of his own blood.

Looking at it Accalia then heard Salina coldly reply to her question by saying.

"Oh, I was just covering up our tracks. We don't want to leave any witnesses or evidence of our crimes behind now do we?"

Accalia remembering that the guard had a family couldn't help but feel bad. She wanted to say something in protest to these words, but she knew Salina to be right and so she merely nodded her head and said.

"Come on, let's get out of here before those fires spread and send the whole city into a panic."

Disappearing into the manhole Accalia and Salina entered the sewers and with Accalia in the lead the large group of girls began to make their way towards the abandoned tavern.

Soon a manhole on the alleyway of the familiar abandoned tavern opened and Accalia stuck her furry face out to scout out the surroundings. To her left a fire could be seen raging in the distance as bells in the city were being rang.

Slowly climbing out of the manhole Accalia went to unlock the taverns door and then signalled for the others to come.

Holding the door open the large group of girls quickly and silently climbed out of the manhole and ran into the tavern. Then with all girls inside, Accalia closed up the manhole cover, got into the tavern and slammed the door shut.

At the same time, high up in the royal castle, Lili was looking down in worry at the raging fire down below in the city. She wanted to go help, but sadly couldn't. Her body was bruised, broken, heavily bandaged up and extremely weak, plus she was under house arrest.

Falling to her knees Lili knew not what she should do and so she fell into prayer. A prayer for all the innocent souls down below to stay safe.
