"Are you a God?"
That was what Accalia had once asked Lili. Back then she had wanted to immediately deny this, but she didn't. For didn't many defy a god as a being capable of creation and the power over nature itself. And, as it so happened Lili held quite a unique power herself. With her power she was capable of changing regular stones into magical stones of light. Stones that on their own could, if given enough time, heal pretty much any wound. She had been able to even rebuild back her deformed left ear into its original and healthy form.
Her power might not hold any combat capabilities, but it certainly was extremely strong in its power of healing. With this power she was basically more valuable than any doctor in the modern world. But not only was it extremely valuable, but apparently it was completely unheard of in this world, according to Accalia.
Accalia had said that there was magic in this world, which made sense to Lili, seeing as Accalia was a werewolf, but according to Accalia the strange thing was that no magic could do what Lilis magic had done.
After she had heard all of this, Lili not knowing who her father truly was, couldn't help but imagine him to possibly be a god. Maybe her godly father had descended down to earth one day for a bit of fun and in doing so accidentally impregnated the woman who was Lilis mother. So that would basically mean that she was a demigod, like Hercules or Kratos.
Despite thinking of all of this Lili just couldn't outright call herself a god. After all Lili didn't know any of this to be true, so calling herself a god now would essentially be a lie and Lili wasn't a liar.
She was not like that boy called Art. She still could remember the arrogant look on his face as he had once looked down upon her and straight up called himself a god. He had said it with such arrogance that Lili couldn't help but wonder if he truly was a god.
Deep down inside of her, she so wished herself to be better than that arrogant boy, she wanted to show him who was truly the boss now, but she just didn't dare to do so. Because of all of this Lili had opted for the neutral approach to this question. While she couldn't possibly in good fate say herself to be a god, she also couldn't honestly deny it to be so and as such she had said.
"One cannot say, if he, or she, truly is a God. I think that question is something that can only be answered by the believers themselves. For I believe it is up to each and every person to decide who she or he believes in, it is for them to decide who is truly a god and who is not. This is not something for a god to decide. A god merely does what a god does and blesses those who are worthy of being blessed."
After that Lili had not spoken any more on the matter as she didn't know. She was a person who didn't lie and so she only spoke of the things she knew and that was all.
The girls in the cellblock had not spoken a whole lot about this, which Lili thought was good. She wanted for them all to make up their own minds about the situation.
And, to help them make up their minds upon this matter Lili had started to train them all. They might not have been capable of seeing one another, but with good descriptions Lili could still teach something to them.
She had started out by trying to get all the girls motivated and into shape. To do this she had started with normal muscle building exercises that are used in gymnastics practices.
Her plan was to make the girls bodies strong and flexible first. After that she could start to teach them Mixed Martial arts. But most of all she had planned on making Accalia into an absolute fighting machine.
If she couldn't overpower the skinny rat faced, Ratbag fellow, then maybe Accalia could do it. Along with this she would also break off small chunks out of the stone cell wherever she could and create enough Light stones for all the girls.
Like so the plan had come together. It was a long plan that would take possibly even years to accomplish, but Lili didn't mind as time was something that they seemed to have plenty of.
To keep all their spirits high Lili had said to them that.
"Girls, I know none of us are where we would ever, in a million years have wanted to be. I know we all dream of a better place somewhere out there behind these metal bars. But the fact of the matter is that none of us are actually ever going to get to that place, not unless we do something about it. So I say we stop dreaming about it and instead we need to start making it into a reality. Sure our options are limited, but we still have options and we sure as hell need to start making the most out of them. Just keep that in your mind as you train your bodies. Every rep, every move and every drop of sweat you make just might be getting you closer to that better place out there. So never stop, never surrender and never retreat, that is how we will survive this."
To this the girls had cheered, hopes had suddenly risen and a bright future seemed to be just around the corner. They planned for the breakout to happen after winter, in early April when the days were still short and they would be able then to make better use of the dark.
The plan seemed simple enough and doable. Sure there were massive holes in it, but Lili had fate that it was nothing that a little improvising couldn't fix and so they waited and time went on. And, as time went on, so too did the war against the feral Lycans.
At first it seemed like nothing had changed in the city. The effects of the war were only noticeable in the small number of wealthy customers and not so wealthy customers that came to use the enslaved girls. For a time this had been a good thing for the enslaved girls.
With small numbers of customers the guards were able to keep them in check and well behaved. The girls although taken against their will, weren't treated too badly and so they easily managed to withstand the horror of it.
But then winter came and along it came the wounded soldiers and the news of the fallen. This Lili and the girls had only learned about when suddenly groups of men came to their cellblock. Some of them were former soldiers, either wounded, crippled or just sent back home for whatever reason to recover and others were the relatives of the fallen soldiers or victim's of war in some way. All of them suddenly came to the cellblock in search of someone to blame for the war.
Their hatred and grief were immense, unlike anything Lili had ever before seen. The men were fuming with rage that was visible on their faces and they were seemingly In need of something to vent out their frustrations upon. And as it so happened the red haired girls were just the kind of an easy target they were looking for. And, so the girls were faced with horrors unlike anything they had ever faced before.
Before there were certain rules when it came to the customers. For instance only one was permitted at a time and pregnancies were to be avoided if possible. If one were to break the rules then it would cost them a lot, but suddenly all that had seemingly been forgotten and everything was permitted.
Lili was forced to listen to the men's harsh words and the women's pained cries as they were roughly used like they were nothing but tools for the men to use.
To her own horror Lili had seen how Accalia was forced to serve large groups of men. The sight of it absolutely sickened her. They beat her mercilessly and used each and every single part of her body to pleasure themselves.
She had tried to reason with the men. She tried to make them understand that it was not the northern people's fault that the war had started. She tried to tell them, of the difference between true Lycans and the Feral Lycans, but they didn't listen.
They never listened, for why would they listen to the words of a mere slave girl that as far as they knew was also a thief of some kind, deserving of being enslaved.
All Lili could do was strengthen all the Light stones that each and every girl hid in their cells. It was only thanks to the stones and the discovery that she could heal people personally through the stones that the girls survived.
From then on this horrible abuse of the girls went on, some months were worse than others. Their horrible actions towards the girls only ceased whenever the coins in their pouches came to an end.
Because of this Lili had changed the date of their planned escape to an earlier time, but quite quickly after the abuse intensified the girls started to become pregnant one after the other.
Still she had hoped to try it, but as Accalia also became pregnant Lili realised that their hopes of escape had gone along with her pregnancy. She for sure couldn't risk taking a pregnant woman on an extremely dangerous prison breakout mission and so more time passed.
While the girls suffered, Lili was left untouched and allowed to continue her training as she had been doing all this time. She wasn't sure, but it seemed like the owner of this place, the old lady had some kind of a plan specifically made for her.
The old lady had talked about her needing to grow up first before she could be sold off. This Lili definitely wasn't going to let happen, she would need to grow up fast and breakout even faster.
