Many years back…
Katherine poured herself a steaming cup of coffee, savoring the aroma as she gazed out the window. She was so engrossed in thoughts; she didn't notice her husband walk into the kitchen until he wrapped his arms around her waist, nuzzling her neck.
"Morning, beautiful. Did you miss me?"
Katherine turned around with a smile on her face, pulling Henry into a kiss. "When did you get in?"
"Just now. I got on the first flight back because I missed my darling wife so much."
Katherine giggled as he trailed slow patterns on her lower back with his finger. "I missed you more. How did the meeting go?"
"I've closed the deal." Henry announced with pride.
Katherine let out a squeal and jumped on him. "Congratulations babe!" She wrapped both legs around his waist, and arms around his neck. Henry steadied her with both palms clutching her butts, and relished the kiss she planted on his lips; she was his happy place.
