Chapter 5 - Signing

When the door opened, Sylas saw Clarissa.

"Enchanting" was the impression Sylas had of Clarissa.

She was beautiful, and even after three days of hunger, Clarissa was still stunning.

In this parallel world, Clarissa was still single and very young, only about twenty-seven or twenty-eight.

A woman at this age is at her prime.

"Top-tier slave candidate detected: Clarissa, score: 95 points."

The system's prompt sounded at that moment.

The system interface displayed Clarissa's information, including her age, name, and measurements. Most importantly, the system indicated that Clarissa was still a virgin.

The system was so powerful that it could even detect virginity.

A score of 95 was very high.

Sylas was extremely satisfied with this target candidate.

Now, he just needed to make Clarissa his slave.

Sylas quickly stepped inside the villa and closed the door behind him.

He said, "There are still zombies outside. We should be careful."

"Do you have food?" Clarissa asked again, looking at Sylas with anticipation.

She had opened the door because Sylas said he had brought food.

"I have food," Sylas confirmed.

He then took out a box of milk and a vacuum-sealed pack of bread from his pocket.

Seeing the food, Clarissa's eyes lit up.

As a famous star, Clarissa wasn't impressed by fancy foods, but she had never imagined that one day she would be so excited over a piece of bread.

She was desperate to get that bread.

"Please, give it to me. I'm so hungry," Clarissa said, with a hint of pleading in her voice.

As she spoke, Clarissa reached out to grab the bread.

Sylas quickly pulled his hand back, avoiding her grasp.

"If you want food, it's simple. But why should I give it to you?"

"You should know how precious food is right now," Sylas said seriously.

"What... what do you want? You want me, right? I can give myself to you," Clarissa said, licking her lips.

She knew what men wanted, but at this point, she didn't care anymore.

She was on the brink of starvation.

A person on the brink of starvation has nothing they won't give up.

Hearing this, Sylas's heart began to race.

He took a deep breath. It was his first time doing something like this, and naturally, he felt nervous.

"I can give you food and take care of you," Sylas said softly. "But you must agree to become my slave."

"I won't force you; it must be completely voluntary."

"But if you become my slave, I will ensure you are taken care of," Sylas said seriously.

"I agree. No matter what your conditions are, I agree," Clarissa quickly responded.

She didn't care what tricks Sylas had up his sleeve; she just wanted food.

"Ding, Clarissa has willingly become your slave."

"Successfully acquired a top-tier slave. Reward: one dimensional space."

"Slave system activated."

"The master can decide the slave's life or death with a single thought."

"If the master dies, the slave will also die."

"The master can bestow a portion of their power and skills upon the slave."

A series of system notifications appeared before Sylas's eyes.

He was stunned.

This was the slave system.

The slave system was also one of the rewards for the main task.

Sylas could control the life and death of his slaves but could not control their thoughts and actions.

However, if Sylas died, the slave would inevitably die as well.

Additionally, if Sylas sensed any harmful actions from a slave, he could instantly kill the slave.

Sylas glanced at Clarissa, knowing he could kill her at any moment with just a thought.

The master held absolute power over the slave's life and death.

However, the master couldn't control the slave's mind and actions, so to ensure that the slaves performed well, the master needed to treat them well.

Sylas quickly grasped the functions of the slave system.

Sylas controlled the life and death of his slaves, so he didn't have to worry about them rebelling against him.

Moreover, Sylas could bestow some of his abilities upon his slaves.

Thus, these slaves were his best subordinates.

On the system interface, Sylas found the button for bestowing abilities.

He could share 10% of his attributes with Clarissa.

Bestowing was actually sharing, so Sylas wouldn't lose any of his own strength.

Besides his attributes, skills could also be shared with slaves.

Sylas checked the skills he had received as rewards.

After acquiring Clarissa, the system rewarded him with a dimensional space.

Sylas's eyes sparkled as he saw a virtual dimensional space.

This dimensional space functioned as a storage space.

Time stopped within the dimensional space, so anything placed inside would be preserved indefinitely.

If food was stored in it, it would remain fresh forever.

Even ice would stay frozen.

This ability was extremely powerful, far superior to a refrigerator.

The dimensional space was also quite large, with an area equivalent to ten football fields.

Furthermore, the size of the dimensional space was linked to Sylas's mental strength.

The stronger his mental strength, the larger the dimensional space.

The dimensional space was very important to Sylas.

It made it easy for him to collect and store supplies.

Sylas looked at the system interface, grinning widely.

"Sylas, can I eat the bread now? I'm really hungry," Clarissa said weakly.

Seeing Sylas's smile, she felt a sense of unease.

"Here you go, eat slowly. As long as you stay with me, you won't go hungry again," Sylas said with a smile.

But Clarissa didn't care what Sylas was saying. She grabbed the food and began devouring it ravenously.
