Chapter 27 - Sending Letters

Ivar was eventually dragged inside by Zhawg and put in a room with a clean bed and few drawers.

Zhawg came to his room to remind him to eat the food pill but most of the time Ivar was alone in the room. He mostly spent his free time guiding a minuscule amount of vital energy to his legs.

As Vector expected, Ivar started to feel his legs after 2 days.

"Oh? You can feel your legs now? That's great!" Zhawg remarked as he left the room.

After a while, he arrived with some scissors, some cotton, and other metal tools.

Zhawg proceeded to cut Ivar's bandages off, clean off the areas and disinfect them.

"Try moving your legs now."

Ivar wiggled his toes as Zhawg smiled.

"Excellent!"

Ivar continued with his routine for the next three days. He slowly recovered, until he could move his legs and walk properly!

Zhawg looked at Ivar slowly walking in the backyard.

'This is good. If this kid weren't lord Vectors, I would have loved to experiment on him.'

"I think I will fully recover in a day or two!" Ivar shouted, making sure Zhawg could hear him.

"Yeah! Looks like the transplant will succeed this time." Zhawg replied.

Ivar nodded. The notes of people before helped a little. They mostly only contained the amount of Vital energy they used to heal the muscles. Using too much caused the muscles to explode and using too little caused them to start rotting.

Two days later Ivar could be seen doing physical exercises, jumping, and doing squats in the backyard. Seeing that Zhawg stood up from his chair and said, "Alright, you have fully recovered. Time to go to the dojo."

Ivar looked back at Zhawg and nodded.

"Follow me!"

"Ok."

Zhawg and Ivar walked to the house's front door and exited the house. Ivar walked a step behind Zhawg and kept marveling at the architecture of the houses and occasional shops that popped off.

All while ignoring the stares directed towards him. He looked around the shops and suddenly saw a shop named "Adam's mailing service".

He spoke to Zhawg, "Doctor. Will this mailing service send letters to anyone?"

Zhawg turned around and replied, "Yes. It's the only mailing service here. They will send the letter to anyone as long as you know their location."

The doctor looked at Ivar's face and smiled, "Do you want to send a letter to someone?"

Ivar nervously nodded.

"Ok then. Let's do it." Ivar followed the man inside the shop.

Inside, there were some tables with pens and letters and an envelope to put the letter in. There also was a ticket counter.

"Go ahead, Write it."

Ivar picked up the pen and wrote the first word," Aira".

"How is everything going in the mountain?

Don't worry about me. I am fine right now. I will return in a few months.

I will be super strong by then! So make sure to win that competition and reach the circulation stage!

We will be put on the same team, I am sure!..."

Ivar continued pouring his feelings into the letter until he reached the end of the page.

"With love,

Ivar"

It was time to write the location of the delivery. Ivar stared at the blank space after the words "Receiver".

He didn't know where that mountain was located.

Zhawg noticed Ivar staring at the letter and asked, "What happened?"

Ivar looked at Zhawg who was sitting next to him and replied, "I don't know where the mountain is located."

Zhawg was surprised. How could someone not know where they were sending the letter?

"In that case… Do you know any superiors of the person? It would be good if they were Commander ranked or higher."

Ivar remembered Isshin. But the problem was that Isshin might just discard the letter and Aira also had a grudge against Isshin.

Ivar kept thinking but couldn't find a solution.

In the end, he decided to explain the situation to Aira in the letter.

Ivar wrote the letter to be sent to" Isshin, Rank 5 Commander" and in another line, he wrote" Aira, Rank 9"

Ivar walked towards the ticket counter and handed the mail through the small gap in the glass below. The dog woman looked at the letter and said, "Not a location? Human pup. This is going to cost extra."

"How much will it cost?"

"It would have cost 1 vitae. Now it will cost 10 vitae."

"You don't have the money, do you?" Zhawg patted Ivar's back as he arrived at the ticket counter.

"Doctor Zephyr?!"

Zhawg—Zephyr—smiled and said, "That's me."

"I-i didn't get the chance to thank you before for saving my daughter! Please what can our family do for such a blessing!"

"You don't need to do anything. Treating others is what I like to do." Zephyr made a thumbs up.

"In that case. I will put my own money for this letter, that's the least I can do! You are with this kid, right doctor?"

Zephyr heartily laughed and replied, "You really didn't have to… but sure. Thank you."

"Let's get going, Ivar."

"Okay." Ivar looked at the grateful woman who had shown a little animosity to him before. Looks like

Zhawg—Zephyr— was really respected in this place.

Ivar was thankful that he didn't call Zephyr by his nickname—Zhawg. He didn't what the dog people would do to him if they heard it. However, It seemed like only Puggy could call him Zhawg.

They quickly walked across the city and arrived in front of a long pagoda-styled hall. Its giant doors had a single word carved into them.

'Dojo'

"Doctor Zephyr. What is a Dojo?" Ivar questioned the dog man.

Zephyr answered looking at the people training with swords and other weapons inside, "Basically it is a training facility. It is derived from the language of the fifth elder's territory.

Let's get going now. You need to be ready for the next circulation within a week."

"Bismuth! Come here!" Zephyr shouted, calling for a man in the dojo.

"What do you need?" A dog man with a mixture of brown and black fur and short and straight ears arrived.

"Lord Vector has ordered to train this kid intensely until he can complete his next circulation. After that, you need to inform Puggy. He will do the rest."

The dog man looked at Ivar.

"Interesting… This will be my first time training a human. This will be necessary for the Lord's plans too. Consider it done."

Zephyr nodded and replied, "As expected from you. I hope Lord Vector doesn't have to wait more than 10 days."

"10 days? I can do it in 7." Bismuth proudly replied.

"Prove it then." Zephyr walked away.

"Let's go kid. You have a lot to do."
