"Hey this content is pretty interesting,"
I said, looking at my phone, a chicken leg in the other.
It showed a dungeon raid from [The Round Table] guild.
"When will I be able to do cool things, I'm just stuck roleplaying..."
'Although it is kind of cool,'
I finished, watching the video.
'It is pretty cool how they do a Knight concept, keeping up with their namesake indeed,'
After swallowing down my last bite of the chicken, I washed my hands before getting into the pod.
'I should probably finish my quest I got yesterday, and since I don't feel much hunger in the game, save money on food resources,'
I pressed the button to close the pod, then I lowered the visor.

My vision turned black, before opening into the area where I last was before I signed out, on top of a tree outside of the cleared dungeon.
I looked around, just in case any more monsters had spawned.
'Looks like there's none...'
A notification suddenly popped up.
[[Butterfly Effect] has activated!]
[You have gained 100 reputation in [Euridia]]
[[Butterfly Effect] has activated!]
[Additional Title created: [Hunter of Malichyte Woods]]
[Titles created by [Butterfly Effect] cannot be boosted by [Protagonist's Buff].]
[Hunter of Malichyte Woods]
- 1% EXP Increase Rate in Malichyte Woods
'Butterfly Effect can create titles?'
I wondered what the creation requirements were, as it seemed kind of sudden.
'Maybe people noticed the lack of monsters here and I gained a name for it?'
'Or maybe it's correlated to my reputation generated in a specific area,'
With that thought, I made my way to Euridia.
Getting closer to the town it looked much more plain than I imagined.
The walls around the town looked as if they were in the process of being built, and looked primitive than what I would normally expect.
I circled around the walls to find the entrance, before arriving at the entrance, guarded by two soldiers, armed with a spear.
I looked above their heads.
[Soldier Aio] - Level 30 - [Not Recommended]
[Soldier Orin] - Level 30 - [Not Recommended]
[Warning! Attacking [Lawful] NPCs of the [Lindel Kingdom] will result in -1,000 reputation throughout the [Lindel Kingdom] and will be killed on sight!]
'I wasn't going to do that anyways...'
I walked up to the entrance before being stopped by the two.
"Halt! Who are you and what are you doing here!"
The one named Aio stopped my path forward with the handle of the spear.
'I'm getting stopped at this entrance? Is this town not popular?'
I had to come up with a plausible excuse, as my skill [Knight of Renown] only worked with [Noble] NPCs, and they were only [Soldiers]
"I am just a Knight-Errant on a journey to prove my chivalric ideals! I have heard of the issue of the dungeon threatening the safety of this town. I have cleared it, and I have come to the Lord of this town in order to receive my reward."
I wasn't technically lying. Galahad could be considered an Knight-Errant while on his search for the Holy Grail, and I was basically him for a while.
I'm also just using the description of the quest that I was given earlier so no lies, and I was still upholding the laws of Chivalry.
[The stat [Charisma] is working on the soldiers!]
Maybe I should become an actor?
"I-Is that so?"
As if affected by my charisma, Aio whispered to Orin.
"This person might be the person that Sir Wyke was looking for, you know, the person who cleared the dungeon?"
"I think so too, I mean he doesn't seem to be lying,"
'There's suspicion in NPCs? Maybe I should just treat NPCs as actual people, we do live in the same time span anyways,'
Watching the two soldiers whisper amongst themselves showed me how realistic the world of Polareys, it makes it seem that they are actual living and breathing humans.
In a sense they could be.
After a few more seconds, they seem to have realized that they were talking amongst themselves for too long, before coughing to mask their embarrassment.
"Then you may enter Sir...?"
"Para,"
I swiftly said.
"Para?"
"Yes, Para."
I could just tell what they were thinking when they heard my name.
"Then enjoy your stay in Euridian, Sir Para."
'I guess they even believed that I was a Knight, but I guess anyone would.'
I entered the town, before deciding that my first destination would be the Church.
I never know when I would need the [Drop of the Holy Grail].
Even from a glance, I could tell it was broken.
Healing 50% of maximum HP and healing all status effects would make it at least one of the best healing skills in the game.
That was what my gaming experience taught me.
While I wouldn't know now, [Drop of the Holy Grail] dwarfed the current best healing skill available to players [Light of Alecrine] by 20%.
Walking around, I noticed something.
The town was quite average.
It looked much more well maintained compared to the walls of the town.
'It could be that they were just starting to build it,'
Looking around, it was the textbook definition of what an average medieval town would look like.
I walked down the street, looking at the objects at the market, looking for a skinning and butchering store to efficiently make use of my resources later.
Priority was the Church.
I walked up to a random woman who was giving me curious glances.
"Excuse me, but do you know where the church is?"
She looked at me in surprise, as if she didn't expect this type of conversation.
"Uh, if you need healing I wouldn't recommend the church, there has been an influx of sick people asking for healing,"
"Oh no worry, I have just need a place to pray,"
Confused look in her eyes, as if what I was saying was unbelievable, she quickly got out of her stupor before answering.
"Then you just have to follow the street before turning a left. It's just next to the Lord's house so it's pretty noticeable."
Thanking her, I followed her directions, before finding myself in an alley.
'This looks sort of suspicious but I do see the Lord's house ahead,'
I walked forward, before I felt a sudden burst of [Killing Intent].
I stopped, looking around me to see nothing.
'Above!'
I quickly unsheathed the [Sword of the Strange Hangings], raising it as if I had held it thousands of times before due to the [Sword of Mastery], before hearing the sound of a blade being deflected by my sword.
*Clang!*
I looked at what it was on the ground, to see a dagger.
I shouted at the sky.
"Reveal yourselves! Have you no honor!"
'I guess the Chivalry thing is getting to me,'
I offhandedly thought, watching as three people jumped off the roofs.
They silently landed, and I could see how they looked.
'Assassins? Why?'
I looked above their heads.
Player [Zinon] - Level 67 - [Not Recommended] - [Evil]
Player [Topua] - Level 72 - [Not Recommended] - [Evil]
Player [Binmo] - Level 70 - [Not Recommended] - [Evil]
'They're players?!'
"Why are you doing this, how underhanded!"
I yelled at them, raising my sword.
"Is this kid a role-player?"
Zinon said to the other two, before laughing.
The other two joined him, clutching at their stomachs.
"Just a measly Level 27 couldn't hope to match us, just surrender and give us your loot, our client will be pretty satisfied,"
Topua added, taking out his daggers.
'Client? I shouldn't have any player that would want me dead, I just started playing the game, maybe an NPC?'
[[Slayer of Devils] has activated!]
'Maybe I have a chance?'
The buff that was given to me was immense, I felt strength coursing through my body, and my senses were sharpened.
'[Overachiever] and [Start of a Saga] should also be activated...'
'I should have enough stats to deal with them,'
With that in mind, with the system helping through [Sword of Mastery] my focus was through the roof.
"Yo Zinon you should kill him, you're lower level than us, maybe you can get some EXP from killing him,"
"Fuck off, I could still beat you even without the levels,"
[Due to your situation, [Protagonist's Buff] has been activated!]
[You will see [Optimal Path] temporarily!]
'I have broken stats and I even get [Optimal Path]?'
'I should at least lure them in, they could have special skills,'
"Fight me scoundrels!"
The two assassins stopped their bickering before looking at me.
"I guess this guy wants a fast death,"
"Swift Dagger!"
Yelling out the name of his skill, Zenon threw a green colored dagger before rushing at me.
I deflected the dagger with a swing of my sword, before smoothly defaulting back into a defensive stance, before using that momentum to preemptively swing at Zenon with my longer reach.
With my boosted status, Zenon couldn't react in time, the [Sword of the Strange Hangings] slicing through his body as if it was butter.

'Four at once?!'
I looked at the other two in a different light.
"What the fuck!"
Angered, Topua and Binmo stopped underestimating me.
"Overgeared bitch!"
"Quick Step!"
"Quick Step!"
Topua suddenly appeared in front of me, slashing with his own dagger.
I blocked it, before counter attacking, which he blocked as well.
But due to the large difference in stats Topua was knocked back, sliding across the floor.
'A pincer attack!'
I quickly turned around to see Binmo also thrusting his dagger in an attempt to stab me in the back, before I punched the side of the weapon, shattering it.
'That's possible?'
Weaponless, Binmo pulled out a needle in an attempt to prick me, unfortunately being too slow to counter my slash, which had sliced his head off, causing Binmo to shatter into translucent shards.

I rushed at him, parrying his pitiful attempt at a counter before slashing his neck.
