"The quest updated?"
'There's a traitor in Lord Euridian's house?'
I looked at the quest I got and it seemed the rewards had increased as well.
'There's also an additional quest too, [Malia's Health]'
From the description, Malia Euridian was Lord Euridian's daughter, and the traitor had poisoned her. Why? I currently did not know.
'I could use [Drop of the Holy Grail], if it even works on NPCs,'
I looked where my destination was, before walking out of the dreadful alley.
'There could be more assassins hired by Yenowl,'
'Looking at it from a different perspective, it could be that it was also a quest for them,'
The path to finishing a quest wasn't easy. In addition, the quest difficulty increased from my discovery.
I inspected the entrance of Lord's House, which was guarded by another 2 guards.
'They could be working with Yenowl, I should refrain from revealing too much,'
Paranoia increased with the sudden increase of the difficultly making me much more nervous than it originally should have been.
'I should go to the Church first,'
I made my way over to the much more humble looking building next to the house, seeing people lined up, the line even going out of the door.
Walking my way to the front, disapproving stares were prevalent, and as I reached the door, someone finally snapped.
"Hey! Can't you see we're waiting in line? Don't fucking cut!"
I sighed, our reasons for coming here were completely different.
"Why are you here?"
I looked above his head.

"Obviously to get healing, why else would I be at this shit stain of a Church!"
'How disrespectful of a group of people who are supposed to be healing you,'
Assuming the animosity was due to my skill [Knight of Renown], this person had to be an [Unlawful] NPC.
I unsheathed my blade, pointing it at Euel. My eyes narrowed.
Not expecting a confrontation, Euel backed up, enough to be in adequate distance but close enough to still be in the line.
"Do not disrespect the Church, you lowly cur,"
'I'm pretty sure Chivalry has something to do with religion, don't know how close it's actually supposed to be though,'
"Y-you tryna fight?"
'This person probably has no experience fighting, could just be a pick pocketer if he is an [Unlawful] NPC,'
Sheathing my blade, I sighed.
"There is no honor in fighting a man who has no wish to fight,"
'Maybe if I keep this up, [Galahad of the Holy Grail] also acknowledges me and I get something,'
I made my way inside, opening the door.
Inside, there was a priest in a chair, healing a person in front of him, sweat dripping down his neck.
The priest looked tired, but I would assume he is a devoted believer to do so, which I could respect his dedication.
I looked above his head.

Walking up to see that the priest has just finished healing another patient, before taking the opportunity to talk to him.
"Excuse me, I have a question."
As if he had just noticed me, his tired eyes, widened by a miniscule amount.
[Your affinity with [Priest Joseph] has increased by 100!]
'Hmm?'
It seemed that he could detect my holy energy, and from how much it increased it looks like a lot to him.
"It is an honor to meet such a pious knight, but if you want healing, even you would need to wait in line."
"No need, I just need to borrow a prayer room from this Church."
The man's eyes opened in surprise once more, before a small smile blossomed on his face.
"Is that so? Then I will gladly lead you to one, Sister Lia could you please take over for a while?"
I turned my head to see an old lady who took Joseph's mantle.

'Is it because of the experience?'
'Or is it because she's retired?'
I thought, marveling at how high Sister Lia's level was compared to the younger Priest Joseph.
As Joseph rose from his seat I followed him to an empty room with Alecrine's symbol on the wall.
The base research I did on the church this morning mentioned it.
I had to, in order to be more immersed in the character known as Galahad.
I manually took off my greaves as I couldn't add any equipment materialized by Avatar into the inventory.
I took a kneel, before clasping my hands together and closing my eyes.
'Although Alecrine is different from the Christian God the beliefs are similar enough, right?'
I thought, before reciting the Lord's Prayer I searched up before I logged in.
"Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."
As I finished mumbling the last line, I opened my eyes to see a few notifications pop up.
[You are a [Pious Being!]]
[The [Holy Power] Stat is permanently unlocked!]
[[Holy Power] Stat is at 5]
[You will gain more [Holy Power] for every [Pious] action you do!]
[You have obtained the basic skill [Heal]!]
[Heal] LV: 1
Heals Target of 3% of Maximum HP
Requirements: 5 Holy Power and 5 Mana
Cooldown: 30 Seconds
[Skill [Drop of the Holy Grail] is available!]
'So just a worse version of [Drop of the Holy Grail]'
Technically after Galahad runs out I would no longer have Holy Power so this was an unexpected boon.
I looked at the notifications before closing them and getting up, equipping my greaves before opening the door, seeing Joseph wait outside.
"Thank you for letting me borrow this room,"
"It was an honor, no problem."
We walked to the entrance together, and we stopped at the door.
"Also, why is there so much sick people?"
Joseph's expression returned into the tired face I had saw him with when I met him.
"For the past week, there's been an unexplained illness amongst the poorer population in Euridia, and I don't know what the problem is."
This looked like the beginning of a quest.
"Can I help you?"
I said, hand on my chest as a sign of peace.
"Really? Then I would be thankful."
After he had finished the line, a notification popped up.
[Quest [Euridia's Mysterious Disease] has been given!]
[Linked Quest]
[Difficulty: B]
[Importance: B]
[There has been a mysterious illness going around the slums of Euridia!]
[Description: Go to the town of Euridia and find the origin of the Disease and notify the Priest Joseph!]
[Reward: New Title, Skill Book, Reputation, Affinity, Holy Power]
A linked quest meant that this was just a small part of a big quest.
I looked up at Joseph before reaching my hand out for a handshake.
"No, it is the duty of a Knight-errant to protect the innocents,"
[[Galahad of the Holy Grail]'s impression of you has risen!]
[Your affinity with [Priest Joseph] has increased by 50!]
'Galahad of the Holy Grail? He can see my actions? I guess it makes sense if Beowulf acknowledged me,'
"Stay safe,"
"I could say the same for you,"
Exchanging good byes, I made my way out thinking while walking over to the Lord's house.
'The quest I was given could mean it is related to Yenowl's schemes,'
While I didn't know how long the daughter has been poisoned, I could assume that most players wouldn't do such a long lasting quest such as killing players for over 5 days, if that's what [Malia's Health] Implied.
So the quest was probably activated recently, and it could coincide with the illness running rampant in Euridia.
I could ask the Lord of Euridia about this and also finish [Yenowl's Schemes] while I'm at it.
I walked to the Manor's gates, before being blocked by the guards.
"State your intentions, Knight!"
I looked up above their heads.

"I am just a Knight-Errant on a journey to prove my chivalric ideals. I have heard of the issue of the dungeon threatening the safety of this town. I have cleared it, and I have come to the Lord of this town in order to receive my reward and acknowledgement."
[The stat [Charisma] is working on the soldiers!]
"Is that so?"
"Yes."
"Then please enter the manor, the Lord has been waiting for the person who solved such a problem."
The guards opened the door to the gates, and I walked through the empty garden.
'Feels kind of eerie,'
A maid waited outside the entrance, looking at my attire before bowing at me.
"I am honored to guide a guest of honor, please follow me."
Let's hope the quest is as smooth sailing as it is right now.
