Chapter 44 - Chain Breaking Method’

Ajax's gaze was fixated on the black orb; it emanated an overwhelming sense of dread. Chains shot out from the orbs, binding him tighter to the chair. The black orb, dark and ominous, sent a shiver down his spine every time he looked at it. It was more than just power—it was a creeping feeling that gnawed at his very soul.

Ajax snapped back to his senses, turning to Jared and asking, "What did I just see? What was that?" His voice was shaky and confused.

Jared smiled gently, shaking his head with a sigh. "Young people these days, always rushing to answers without giving me a chance to explain." He let out a small chuckle before continuing, "What you saw was the manifestation of your power—your divine abilities. It's going to be a treacherous road from here on out. I've transferred the 'Chain Breaking Method' to you. With this method, you'll be able to ascend through the god levels more quickly and effectively."

There was pride in Jared's voice as he spoke, and Ajax, feeling a deep sense of gratitude, bowed low before him. "Thank you for giving me this method," Ajax said sincerely.

Jared laughed, seemingly amused by Ajax's reaction. "Yeah, yeah, although I've given you the method, the path ahead won't be easy for you. Your progress will be slower than others because you possess more than one divine attribute. While having multiple godly abilities makes you stronger, it complicates the process. Gods with a single attribute ascend faster because they only have to master one power, whereas you will have to balance multiple abilities."

There was a hint of regret in Jared's tone as he explained.

Ajax was taken aback by this revelation. He had always been told that the more divine attributes you had, the more powerful you were. But now, as he thought about it, he realized that a god with one attribute could make up for their lack of power through combat experience and focus, matching those with multiple attributes.

He knew he had to ascend quickly if he wanted to keep up with his wife. From what little he had seen, there was no doubt in his mind that she was powerful—likely far more so than he was. After all, any woman who had a servant like Jared, already an unbeatable figure in Ajax's eyes, must be incredibly formidable.

With a determined expression and strong will in his voice, Ajax simply said, "Yes."

Jared, hearing the conviction in Ajax's response, was visibly pleased. "Good. Now, you'll need to travel to different places to enhance your divine abilities. I'll send you to various realms so you can gain experience and make a name for yourself," he said with a sly, almost wicked smile.

Ajax couldn't shake the uneasy feeling that crept over him when he saw Jared's smile, but he knew he had no choice but to go along with it. With a nod, he agreed.

Jared flicked his hand, and the small, bloody room around them began to change. In an instant, it expanded into a space twice the size of a football stadium, completely white, with nothing but emptiness in every direction.

Ajax, startled by the sudden transformation, asked, "What is this?"

Jared laughed, clearly enjoying the confusion on Ajax's face. "This is a training area, specially made within our Abyss Domain. It's designed to train anyone in a short period of time. This place is incredibly useful—you can die here and revive the next second. And the flow of time? Well, I control it. Even if 300 years pass here, only three days will have passed in the outside world. So... what do you think? Pretty useful, right?" Jared finished with a proud grin.

Ajax forced a laugh, but the uneasy feeling in his chest grew stronger. He didn't understand why, but something about this situation filled him with dread. A sense of impending doom washed over him again.

Before Ajax could think too much about it, Jared's expression shifted. "Alright, let's begin."

In the blink of an eye, Jared appeared in front of Ajax and struck him with such force that half of Ajax's left side exploded into a bloody mess. Ajax's body was severely injured, but thanks to his vampire nature, his rapid healing factor kicked in. He began to regenerate, but before he could fully recover, Jared attacked again.

Each time Ajax dodged, the force of Jared's attacks would still hit him with shockwaves, inflicting further damage. Jared, it seemed, wasn't holding back at all. He was using his full strength—at least his physical strength—without any hesitation.

One year passed this way, with Jared relentlessly pummeling Ajax. He didn't allow Ajax a moment of rest, constantly smashing him to pieces, only for Ajax's regeneration to bring him back. Ajax's vampire healing factor, over time, grew stronger, regenerating his wounds faster and faster. Every time Jared attacked, Ajax's body would be nearly destroyed, but in minutes, he would fully heal.

Jared was precise, giving Ajax just enough time to regenerate before attacking the same spot, causing the same injuries over and over again. As a result, the once-white training ground was now a gruesome battlefield, stained red with blood. Pieces of Ajax's bones and organs lay scattered, showing the remains of his former self. It looked as though several different bodies had been torn apart on that battlefield, but all of it was Ajax.

In this entire year, Ajax had no time to think about using his abilities to defend himself. Jared's overwhelming force didn't leave him any room to breathe. But gradually, Ajax's body adjusted to the brutal punishment. His regeneration had evolved to such a degree that, no matter how severe the damage, he would heal almost instantly.

Now, as Ajax stood among the blood and gore of his former body, he looked around. His blood, still splattered across the arena, became a weapon in his mind. He had learned to adjust to the brutality of Jared's attacks—and now he was ready to fight back.

Using his blood, Ajax launched an attack against Jared.
