Chapter 43 - willow open

Willow opened her white eyes and felt her body numb. Still half asleep, she rubbed her eyes with her snowy smooth hands until she fully woke up. She looked around, scanning the room, and then turned her gaze to the side. There, she saw a man with a face like a full moon and dark hair like the night, lying beside her. She looked at him more closely and remembered the events of the previous night. The aphrodisiac's effect had been so strong that she couldn't even properly see the man before.

Anger welled up in her heart. She now knew that this was all orchestrated by her father and Jared. She didn't understand why they had done this. If they had told her she needed to marry this man, she would have agreed without question. But her father hadn't even bothered to ask her opinion. Although her new husband was good-looking, his power was disappointing compared to hers.

As Willow gazed at Ajax's face, she noticed he was starting to wake up. Not wanting him to see her in this disheveled state, with her hair messy and unprepared to explain what happened, she quickly ran out of the room. Standing outside, she used her family's Divine Eye power, which allowed her to see through anything, to keep an eye on him from a distance.

As Ajax opened his eyes and began to look around, she called for Lobo, instructing him to help Ajax dress and remove the chains that had bound him. When Ajax asked for clothes, Willow hurriedly went to her father's room, grabbed some of his clothing, and handed them to Lobo, instructing him not to mention her at all. She wanted to test Ajax, to see if he was worthy of the man who had taken her first time and could become her future husband. Satisfied with her instructions, she walked away.

Meanwhile, Jared had taken Ajax to his personal training area, a space filled with weapons of various sizes—swords, knives, spears, and other arms, all stained with blood and ominously displayed against the walls. As Ajax looked around, the scene reminded him of the horror movies and torture scenes he'd seen in dramas. His heart began to pound; he was in terrible shape, physically and mentally.

First, he had been kidnapped by a mysterious young lady from the Abyss, and second, he didn't know if she was a good person or someone with a terrible personality. Third, he feared he was merely a plaything or would be tortured for her amusement by one of her servants. Surrounded by bloodstained weapons, Ajax's anxiety skyrocketed.

Jared, observing Ajax's expression, realized that the young man hadn't been given any proper explanation for his kidnapping or why his purity had been taken. Recognizing that things might escalate if left unaddressed, Jared decided to speak up.

"Hey, this isn't our first time seeing each other, right?" Jared asked, trying to ease into the conversation.

Ajax replied nervously, "Yeah, yeah, this isn't the first time. You beat me up, kidnapped me, and gave me to your miss as a gift, right?"

Ajax wanted confirmation, desperately hoping his speculations were wrong. He didn't want to be trapped in a situation where he was simply a toy for someone else's pleasure. Jared could see the anxiety and unease in Ajax's eyes. He understood that Ajax had no desire to be anyone's plaything.

Just as Jared was about to explain that Ajax was now the husband of his master's daughter, he received a mind message from Willow. "Don't tell him how beautiful or powerful I am, just tell him that he's my husband," she instructed, cutting off the communication before Jared could ask why.

Jared sighed, knowing he had no choice but to obey his young miss's orders. He turned to Ajax and said, "Sorry, young man, I'm just following orders from my lord."

"Lord?" Ajax echoed, puzzled.

Jared went on to explain that Ajax was now the husband of his master's youngest daughter and described the conditions set by his master to find her a suitable husband. Hearing all of this, Ajax was baffled. The thought that he was now a husband again was shocking. Memories of his previous marriage surfaced—those days had drained him, leaving a bitter taste in his mouth. But despite his past, he resolved to take responsibility for whatever happened in the future, regardless of whether his new wife was beautiful or not.

"So, what do I do now? Live the rest of my life as your young miss's husband?" Ajax asked, still grappling with the situation.

Jared shook his head. "No, no, it's not like that. I want you to become strong and stand by my young miss as her husband. I don't want to see someone I picked up remain weak. This task set by my master is not just for you but for future generations too. I want to pave a path for those who will follow in my footsteps."

Ajax nodded, agreeing even though he had little choice in the matter. "Yes," he replied simply.

Jared continued, "Alright, you're a newborn god, right?"

"Yes, but I don't know how to increase my god level," Ajax admitted.

Jared nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah, many people don't know that. Some use divine fruits and other methods to advance, but those methods are not efficient. Divine fruits are rare and take millions of years to form, and even then, they don't guarantee success."

Listening intently, Ajax asked, "So, Jared, is there any other way to level up in godhood?"

"There is," Jared replied. "Otherwise, you wouldn't last in the Abyss. Let's get started." Without further explanation, Jared moved swiftly, placing a glowing red finger on Ajax's forehead. Ajax felt himself bound by invisible chains and suddenly found himself sitting in a chair. Before him, he saw three glowing orbs: a red one, a golden one, and a majestic black one that dwarfed the others.
